AustineAlex:Hi, been off since two days... Phone had issues. From the screenshots, its ialready on AHCI. I think you should explore other options. *cheers* |
Melvinsofty:Hello. So you have anyone in Lagos who can come and check the laptop, confirm before sending it to you? I've got great offers. *cheers * Call or WhatsApp on 08128714767 |
Youngtrice:Hello. You can enable the touch from the BIOS. Get into BIOS by pressing F10 during start up > look "system devices" or a corresponding name (because the name might be different depending song in the BIOS version) You will see a list of devices including the touch(possibly disabled), Enable it. A sure fire way to get the touch working is to download the driver from the manufacturers site Visit hp.com then navigate to the "support and drivers tab". From there you can get a list of the drivers for your laptop by putting in the system name and series in the box provided. >download and install the driver only the display driver. Don't forget that your laptop model looks like this ; Hp m6-e00nia. Find yours at the bottom of the laptop. Another way to find it is to press F1 during startup. You can also find this in system information by typing "msinfo32" in the search bar and then pressing "enter". *cheers* If you find the above a bit too techy, I could help you run the whole show for a token |
Do you have a laptop whose screen you tried to fix but was taken aback due to the cost? Well, it's time to dust your shoes and start walking down to our office for replacement. Reason? Screens just got cheaper!!! Fix your new top grade screen for as low 18000 Naira. Call/WhatsApp on 08128714767 You can also post your requests on the thread and I'll respond accordingly. |
AustineAlex:Let's try this first Before you try any of the following methods, be sure that there are no external devices (USB +mouse+modems etc) attached. Also be sure there is no DVD in the drive. If at all there are any attachments, remove them including the DVD then restart your laptop... Voila!! This might just be your fix... So, let's proceed... Power on your PC, start pressing the F10 button repeatedly to access the BIOS. Wetin you dey find for here? . Well, once you're in the BIOS, you're to change the HDD to AHCI from the current IDE. Save changes then restart. Surprisingly there's an easy fix, keep reading Usually there's a self fix that's done once you boot into safe mode . What this means is that once you're able to boot into safe mode and you restart your laptop, this issue is resolved. So, power off the PC > power on and start pressing F8 or shift+F8 you'll be taken to the advanced boot menu where you'll select "safe mode". [in safe mode, your laptop boots normally except this time with minimal drivers] Now once you're in, you're going to simply restart your laptop normally. You're done! If the problem persists, Then boot into safe mode again but this time you'll have to download IDE ATA/SATA controller driver for hp Elitebook 8460p. Once you're done, reboot. That's it. *cheers* |
AustineAlex:Is that a win 8 or 10? |
Uc7mille7:Hi. So let's break this down * Laptop doesn't power on battery * Laptop powers only when you plug in the charger * Laptop indicates "plugged in, charging" when you move the mouse to the battery icon. Try with another battery. Preferably a new battery or a known working battery and a known working charger Observe battery icon carefully (by moving the mouse over the battery icon) for the following; *plugged in, charging = battery was bad, charger is ok. *plugged in, not charging = try another battery; if same, try another charger. Well if it's still same thing, then the charger is bad. *plugged in charging (you observe it's not increasing) = So battery is ok, charger is ok then it's from the board. Don't forget that we were using working battery and charger for this whole process. Hope this helps. *cheers* |

AustineAlex:Hi, AustineAlex. Kindly type the sentence carrying the error code under the error message. no worries, this is solvable ![]() Thanks. |
lordtim001:Yea. I do |
lordtim001:Regarding the battery, 1hr50min is what replacement batteries will give. But, batteries from the manufacturer give at least 3hrs to 4hrs. While the former costs about NGN5,500 to NGN6,500, The latter costs almost twice the amount- NGN13,500. As for the upgrade, hope you've researched on the compatibility - y'know, maximum RAM, etc |
lordtim001:Hmmm... Some crazy upgrade is about to happen ![]() No. 1 is not common - l don't have it. No. 2 is a 2.9GHz speed- budget 5k No.3 is 6,5k (guaranty is 1hr 50 mins) Call /WhatsApp on 08128714767 *cheers * |
davida222:Hello... Hmmm... Dis one is strong ![]() Here are options you can explore *Run a full virus scan on your PC - Let's be sure they're not the one (virus-trojan) * Your default program settings might also be a culprit. There was a time I was trying to set VLC as my default media app, we'll I didn't make my selections correctly, I highlighted a lot of stuff (web page, docs, notes, etc). So each time I click on a page I downloaded, VLC opens. Or when I open word doc, VLC opens!!! Funke!!! ![]() * If all else fails, you'll backup your files then re-install your operating system. BTW, when the Microsoft Word opens, does the program you clicked also open? *cheers* |
Hello everyone.... If you're a serious gamer or graphics person, then anything decent can be a minimum of 250k and above. Usually the cleaner and slimmer, the more expensive... So, If you're on strict Budget, focus on the spec. I bet you saw similar spec on some other laptops but perhaps they weren't ergonomic or sleek enough so you were like naaaaaaaahhh ![]() While I'm not saying you should go for cargo laptops, do not also loose sight on the budget and the spec. *cheers* |
wisenewgem:Hello Check the list of below 1. Word processing (Microsoft Word and other office packages) 2. Basic photo editing (corel draw, photoshop, fireworks,) you can't do much with video editing except you want to run light Softwares that perform simple tasks like cut and paste. 3.. Surfing the Internet ( run more than 2 browsers, open multiple tabs) 4. Watching movies. (depending on the type of player - I prefer VLC- you can play virtually any format without any lag) 5. Being a Quad Core, you can run multiple Softwares (that meet minimum spec) decently 6. Basic games run really smooth. Logic games like ultra HD chess and scrabble will run with a very great level of visuals. Same with PES 17 or PES 16 or lower. Other less demanding action games can equally be squeezed in ![]() 7.Battery shouldn't be an issue. If you're getting brand new, 4 hours battery life is guaranteed. However the guarantee falls to 2 hours with a UK used. 8. 11.6 inch is really, I mean really portable. So if movement is your thing, then that size is perfect. Yes, perfect. I think it's only fair that I mention to you what the laptop cannot do. So I'm repeating 1 to 8 again but with the other side of the coin. So, look at No. 1 to 8 then see the corresponding other side... here we go 1. While it's a office processing junkie and can run even advanced accounting software, it will not run advanced Softwares like Matlab that span over 11GB to 25GB of program size. 2. Thank God I said "basic", because anything higher or advanced will cripple the performance. 3. No questions on this one... It's a perfect tool for this. 4. Again, no questions... A perfect tool. 5. Ok, soo there's a limit to quad cores too. While you can open 2 to 4 programmes at a time, try a fifth or 6th, then you would have pushed it beyond its limit. 6. Aside those basic gaming stuff, anything needing a dedicated video memory will not even run. 7. No, nothing like 5hrs or 6hrs except if all you do is stare at the laptop all day I hope you understand. 8. 11.6 inch...hope you are aware of this size, it fits virtually any medium bag... So it's a highly portable device. So, no big screen. *cheers* I have 2 copies you can choose from, now that you know better about what you are buying. >>> Call or whatsapp on 08128714767 <<< |
wisenewgem:Hi.... I have a Dell Latitude E3440, Core i3 with 9 hrs battery. I am guaranteeing the 9hrs. Because from the report I got from 2 buyers, one of them said he used the laptop over night from 8pm to 6am without charging!! Call or WhatsApp on 08128714767 *cheers* |
udemzyudex:True. Although I once had a system with this exact issue, Elitebook 8460p, guess what we did? We updated the BIOS!! ![]() |
dcolumbus001:Good to hear! You're welcome. |
dcolumbus001:Hi. Go to the control panel > then click on mouse > in the properties window, you'll see a Tab where you'll select the primary button > click to highlight the right click >then apply..... You're done. *cheers * |

Joeysage:The application can work again. Follow instructions here: https://www.techcrises.com/how-to/how-to-fix-error-code-0xc000007b-in-windows-7-8-8-1/ And no! This isn't my link. Let me warn though - that there are more techy aspects which you may not be able to carry out either due to limited knowledge or sheer fear of risk - Know what you're doing.... DIY at your own risk. * cheers * |
Abajosax007:This is a problem with too many start up processes or too many services auto starting in the background. So what you have is a system trying to refresh after a services has been started. This usually happens after a prolonged usage of the OS, you probably bought the system with the OS already installed... (how could you have known) Funny thing is, a virus might not be responsible!!! Back up your files, and Re-install (format) your operating system. Your PC needs some fresh start. your other way out would have been to start turning each services on or off or tweaking some background processes, but this one na ișé áíyé (ask your yoruba friends) *cheers* |
Abajosax007:Ok, now you're saying something - " interruption What kind of interruption? Is there an error message? |
Abajosax007:You said you used 360 total security, how did you use it? |

udemzyudex:Or maybe one more wahala before he formats ![]() Here: update the virus database of your 360, then scan. Or final wahala ![]() Here: disable the 360 Antivirus. Scan using the win defender... The defender is expected to automatically update... Too much wahala already *cheers * |
