Achor1111:Hi. First of all this is gonna be long. Just kidding;it'll be interesting.Ok! Enough of that. There are pretty much a few places you can look at when you're talking of speeding up your laptop. They are; 1.The Hard Disk: So everything happens on the hard disk- the files you open, the games you play, the copying and pasting, the programs you run even your very windows is on the hard disk. So each time you do any of these, fragments are left on different locations on the hard drive (fragmentation) making the programs and files slower to access. For a faster access, you need to defragment your hard drive. Defragmentation is a process where you pull up those files together in a sing spot making hem faster to access If you're on win 7 Right Click on the ":C" drive > Properties > click on tools > "Defragment now" > The disk defragmenter window opens > Click on "analyse disk" button then > this generates how fragmented the disk is in percentages > Click the defragment button. Free up some space too Now those activities I earlier mentioned can also cause the space on your hard drive to deplete. Oh yes!! All those movies you refuse to delete you see your life now?- in lasisis voice- Oya its time to let go some of it...yeah sorry ...to free up some space. If you have Progams you no longer need, please delete them...you're not a warehouse 2. RAM Increasing the RAM is also another option. usually increasing RAM size increases the chunk of data that the it can hold per time. Check with a technician to see if your system can accomodate another RAM. 4. Efizzy All those visual effects, the slides and drops , name it. they tell both on the system memory and processor. Turning off visual effects can surprisingly boost the speed with which you navigate your windows- win 10 users are you here?? ![]() 5. Startup here are some programs that are designed to run once your computer starts up. This can actually suck some speed from your PC. Well, you can disable these programs from running during start up by; Typing 'msconfig' in the start box > the system configuration window opens> click the 'startup' tab > uncheck the programs that you know. once done they will no longer start once you boot up the laptop. Hope this helps **cheers** |

Kings1930:well, First if you don't have the driver in the form of a file stored in a flash drive or disk you'll need the internet. Second, since you don't have the Wi-Fi to access the internet via wireless hotspot, you'll need a modem. If you don't have a modem, you'll need to use the USB tethering feature of your android phone. OK, so now that you're connected to the internet, update the wireless drivers of your laptop using any of the 2 methods below. Method 1 On the desktop, right click on my computer , this takes you to the system properties. In the system properties window, click on the device manager in the list of options to the left of the window (located towards the top left corner) Once in device manager, right click on the network adapter ,in the drop down, right click on the network controller > "automatically search for drivers". Your W-Fi driver(s) will be automatically installed. [b]Method 2 Visit the manufacturers site of your laptop. If you use hp, that's hp.com. Once on the website, you should look for their "drivers and support" pages wherein you'll be asked to provide your laptop model name or Serial number. After you must have clicked OK, a list of all the drivers for you device will be rolled out- you are looking for the wireless drivers. once spotted, download and install. hope this helps. *Cheers* |
Kings1930:Hello. Install the wireless device driver. *Cheers* |
skywalker495:There are two series of 2125. The first one is looking a bit bulky and uses a regular led display. Cost to fix is 17k The second one is looking kinda slimmer and uses a slim diaplay (AKA Paper screen). Cost to fix is 18k Although, those quotes are for brand new screens. You save a few thousand bucks if you opt for used. And if you're able to fix your self? Voila!! Extra savings again. *Cheers* Signal cables aren't expensive. From 5k up. Need to know what yours look like. let's talk |
DeBrain045: EmmmmOk, Dell Latitude e4310 ,core i5, 320gb HDD/4gb RAM Can go for 50k. What do you say? |
skywalker495:Hello. This could either be screen gone bad or a signal cable issue. See a tech for a fix (replacement actually) *Cheers* I'm here: 09082687404 |
DeBrain045:Got some... 1. Dell Latitude E6420,Corei5, 320GB HDD/8GB RAM. 2. HP Elitebook 8460p, Corei5, 320GB HDD/4GB RAM. 3. HP Probook 4540s, Core i3, 320GB HDD/4GB RAM. 4. winzy:Hello winzy. I'd like you to first, stop using your laptop this way! Sudden power cuts can damage your hard drive (90% chance) or corrupt the OS. Most likely the battery is gone. The White light is a general indication that a charger has been plugged in. However, the only way to be sure is trying another battery on it. If the issue persists, then the problem is from the MOBO. So, let's be sure. I have a couple Pavilion 15 batteries you can lay your hands in and try them on your PC. Alternatively, you can try out in a shop that sells laptop batteries. *Cheers.* I'm on WhatsApp: 08128714767 |
The title says it All... Shall we begin 09082687404 |
Dlee1:Alright then |
Dlee1:Loll ![]() @1TB/8GB ? Naaah I didn't. *Cheers* ...and happy savings... |
Dlee1:Hello Dlee1 1.The screen has a module, so it's not going to be useful. 2. HDD and RAM ( If they are PC3 will still be useful). In some cases, if the RAM isn't PC3L, they will be of no use. 3.Wireless and Bluetooth modules will not work. Instead of going through all those hassle, How about HP Elitebook 8560w, Intel Core i5, 1TB/4gb, 2gb NVIDIA Graphics @145k ? *Cheers* |
udemzyudex:Yes o. Although if he wants to still perform simple operations like "Win+R" or "Win+E" , then ..... |
Hello. @2ballz, we need to know the direction the sound is coming from . @eskorbrown, does the capslock light blink? How many times? |
Kayzybaba:If the metal is still intact , it's 6k If the metal is broken, it's 8k All these are negotiable depending on the degree of damage. |
Kayzybaba:Hi. How badly affected is the hinges? |
Hello. Morning everyone. @odizeey, @geatestboss. Diagnosis, diagnosis, diagnosis.... This takes away at least 90% plus of doubts from a certain issue. Take to a technician. @youngmayor02, we need to see the picture of the said hp15. That series doesn't help(most times) when it comes to getting the hinges. @okunade55, rather than get a complete bottom case, which will cost like 1/10 the cost of the laptop, why don't you take to @udemzyudex advise of having it properly fixed? Costs up to 1/20 the cost of the PC Note; many who have the complete bottom might not want to sell just the down plate!! Being a recent laptop. Although, the picture you sent does not truly reflect the status of the bottom plate. However I believe it's fixable. @morningstar55 Envy m6 full carcass is available. But it's brand new. Touchpad flex is not available. Do you mind a used one that's not looking so fresh? *Cheers everyone* |
LorenzoKane:Hi. On average you can sell for 30k in computer village. Battery and hard drive is another 20k to 25k. The person will then sell for 55k to 60k. You'll get a buyer easily if you have a receipt. *Cheers* |
COOL10:... Most likely the display...You might need to start thinking of screen replacement... *Cheers* |
COOL10:Hello. What was the state if the screen before the BSOD? ... and do you still see images and characters even with the "blue line spray" ? |
AlhajiWale:Upload a pix of the bottom of your laptop |
lordtim001: na so you wan faint that day... |
lordtim001:Don't forget your vow... ![]() |
udemzyudex:Great questions... Also, how long has this happen? When did it begin... What model is your PC? |
udemzyudex: leave am...Once in a while, Indians living here in Nigeria walk in our store. Their mission? to get laptops for their loved ones back home !! They don't send the laptops though. They travel back home with it.... |
tshabalala:Hi. When you mouse over the battery icon, what do you see? Do you see -"plugged in charging" or "plugged in, not charging" ? Do you even see the battery icon? |
