I've found 3
I have found one with an AMD processor(wouldn't advise it).

2 others are Intel but after rigorous tests, they each stopped displaying (VGA... does that ring a bell )

I'm likely not to find another one anytime soon.

Nonetheless after getting another board, whatever it is that happened to this one will happen again to that one!! Maybe after a 9months to a year of usage...

Board is priced arround NGN 18K there about. Let's be patient... NGN 18k is a lot of money given that you're gonna be spending it on one part that'll eventually fail...

If you do not find anything good... Ditch this laptop and get another one... Afterall you're only gonna be adding about 20k to get a good Dual Core or 30k to get a nice i3.

It's your card, just play it well

Drp.su website actually detected the drivers 1 week ago. I was just skeptical then, cos I didn't trust any drivers that wasnr coming from windows itself, but will go along with ur suggestion and give u a feedback here tmrw. Meanwhile the device chipset/processor was detected as UNILORIN baytrail atom z3735f, on capacity of 1.33ghz.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried tht actually. Got now I can access the tablet using an double headed otg cable which enables me to attach both an external mouse & keyboard. When I try to update the HID touch driver, it tells me tht I am having the latest version. I have even tried to calibrate the touch screen to see if the screen will remember itself,it does not not work.

Please if you have other suggestions, am all eyes. Thank you

Ehem moving on!!

In the start menu, type msinfo32, this should give the actual system name and model, now go online and search for the driver using that info.

The guy/lady above you has driver issues as well, you can follow the same directions. Except this time while you are in expert mode, you select only the touch driver... And chipset.

Using the external mouse, go to the device manager and look for HDD (Human Interface Device) and right click to see the touch device.

Right click on this device the click on update

The method described above can a bit tricky at times.

Another method is to search go online and search but the problem is you can't type without the touchscreen...

How were you able to do the bolded though.

What's the model of the Asus Laptop.

Are the USB ports working?
If yes, you can connect to the Internet via USB tethering through your smart phone.

Once connected to the Internet, visit drp.su/en

Once in the site you'll download a tiny program that is expected to scan your system and shows you a list of Hardware and their corresponding drivers.

Now once the program starts, you should please select expert mode. In expert mode, select the chipset, ethernet, Wi-Fi and click install.
Don't forget to uncheck the programs as well to save time.

First I want you to know that consistent shaking of the hinges as you have described it can affect the screenon'

Don't forget that the flex passes through the hinges... Hence prolonged usage can cause the flex to go bad.

Hinge replacement = 5k to 8k depending on the model of the pavilion 15.

Case is expensive...

There was a guy who wanted to see if another board of another system could work on it guess you're the one.


It's not common... Been that it's not a popular system. Remember it's a 17 inch.

Well, If it's the screen-Thats a 15.6” paper screen, It'll cost you 20k to fix. However if it's a 15.6" Ordinary led screen, it'll cost you 18k to get it replaced.

Funny enough it might just be flex! and all you have to do is to simply change the flex which will cost 7500.

....So, this means you'll bring it over, we test with flex, and another screen to be sure what's wrong...
