Qhal:Hi there, Try the following: ....and just before then check if time and date on your laptop is correct... 1. Hold down "CTRL+ALT+DEL" keys >this takes you to a menu >choose task manager >In the task manager > "View running tasks" , now end any program you don't need at that moment. Try launching your browser 2. Drivers: update the drivers for your Wi-Fi card. 3. Run a complete malware scan. I am sure you will find something. Let's go hardware a little: you might want to try another Wi-Fi adapter . you will need a technician if it isn't easily accessible. Also he/she can also troubleshoot other hardware too to be sure. Done? Still the same? There are a few other tricks like disabling the "dumprep.exe" , running "eventvwr.exe" and also running third party softwares. The issue is things become a little messier. So your best bet will be to re-install the OS...sadly ![]() *cheers* |
sotall:So let's finally put this graphics card issue to rest. 1. Only desktop PCs have that flexibility to take in extra hard ware. For a laptop well the case is different! After managing to squeeze DVD +FAN+ ALL CABLES + BOARD into one small box that bearly has some tiny opening for ventilation, adding something extra would be a killer. 2. Certainly not nx6320. |
udemzyudex:Spot on! |
kodded:...and was always windows 10 during the times it worked perfectly? If yes, Your hardware(game pad) might be gone. You can try another game pad to be sure. If no, then going back to the previous OS might be worth considering. Don't forget to backup important stuff. *cheers* |
kodded:Hello. Before I proceed, I want to imagine 2 things 1. You've tried shaking, turning , setting the USB cable several times yet same result. 2. You've tried other ports, still the same issue I also want to imagine a 3rd 3. At one time the system brought up a "the USB device is not recognized" alert, after plugging in the device. You probably ignored since it did work afterwards. Hope I'm not getting in your head right now ![]() Of course there's a likelihood you might not have done 1 & 2. But No. 3 fit don happen but you no notice. Let's dive in. DRIVERS Drivers for the game pad are suppose to be auto installed (plug and play). But your system (after connecting to the internet ) must have tried to download an update. Now the poor laptop is trying to figure out which driver is for which device. Unfortunately, due to this conflict ,it turns out your laptop figures this out every 30 min -this is not a perfect explanation...I just want you to understand that something might not be right with the drivers. So, head over to device manager >under USB devices, find your game pad >right click then uninstall, make sure the box that says "uninstall diver software" is checked. Then restart your laptop. Now plug in the game pad. END OF LIFE If it works perfectly at this point (or if it doesn't), please plan on getting another game pad. That's how most external devices begin to fail. It usually starts with the system finding it hard to recognize. ![]() *cheers* |
sotall:Good question! But guess he's stuck with the one he uses currently... |
superfelix:Exactly. |
Movingcoil:Hello there. So let's get this straight- Laptop battery drains after hybernating or shutting down. This is a clear hardware issue -see a technician. *cheers* |
superfelix:Not just those two, if you use win 7, the camera software will eventually give same error! So, where to back up your files- You can back up your files in an external storage device like a flash drive. It depends on the size of the files. If they are really large you will need an external hard drive. *cheers* |
superfelix:Hi there, that error code signifies a critical system file error. It has something to do with the registry too. What in the world is" system file" or "registry" (like marriage or something ? Hell no!) Let me save you the boring techy stuff. The only way around this is to get a clean operating system. Oh yes! This current one is corrupt. So your movies are still intact. Just back them up in a safe place- including your other documents too. Then format the system. Now, after you're done formatting, in the name of whatever God you serve, install an Antivirus in your system. Let's avoid this painful experience altogether. This is because if it keeps happening and you keep reformatting then your hard disk might crash-this is even more painful! PS- You didn't come straight to nairaland for a fix, did you. No, you googled it first right? and there were suggestions about tweaking the "registry". Well here's the truth there's 90/100 chance you're gonna get it wrong, then the OS malfunctions and you're not able to back up your files before formatting... *good luck* |
PatrickOkunima:You're welcome. The brand new is N10,000 I'll get back to you tomorrow on price for the used. Thanks. |
cyberprof1:Hi @cyberprof, this situation can be heart rending but take a chill pill and let's look at possible situations. Situation 1 Laptop gets to the Hp logo then restarts. Situation 2 Laptop starts, gets past the Hp logo, window logo appears > blue screen shows in a flash and the laptop restarts again. Situation 3 Laptop loads fully to desktop, you start using it normally then after some time it shuts down. Which is your own situation? |
LuckyG1:Hello. Sorry about that. Your laptop is still supplying juice to the battery but the battery isn't getting it. So, now that we've eliminated the battery and charger, next up should be the board - technician calling Just before you head over to the technician try this: 1. Try both charger and battery on another laptop. 2. Shutdown the laptop and allow it charge. Leave for about 30 min and see if it increases. *good luck * |
PatrickOkunima:Call/WhatsApp : 08128714767 I wouldn't mind a picture. There lots of g series, series include Pavilion G4, G6, g7, g60, g56... |
thorsky:Drivers, Drivers, Drivers. First, let me assume you have a good Internet connection. Well, you're going to be downloading the driver - so don't look at me like that Second, I also would like to assume you're using the Windows version for that particular PC. Too many assumptions already. Internet Connected? How many bars ![]() Windows ready? Let's get started... Method 1 In the device manager, there's a section in the list that describes the display and touch, wherever that is, simply right click > click update driver in the drop down> select "automatically search for drivers" in the next window. Then apply a little patience while the driver is downloading. Once done restart your PC. Bingo! In the first method, I gave the impression that the touch hard ware is present since it will appear in the device manager. Heck! save me the tech jargon. Lets head to method 2Method 2 At this point, if you can surf the net, then you're good. Visit Hp site, go to support and drivers then search for your laptop and OS. A list of drivers for your particular system pops up. Now do me a favour select just what you intend to drive, then click download /install. Once done, restart your PC. So that sounds like going on a hunt, doesn't it? Let's try third party softwares Method 3 Using a third party software, a list of all the components in your system are automatically listed (including the touch). If touch isn't available in your laptop, it will not be shown. We'll head over to https://drp.su/en if you feel somehow doing all of those nerdy stuff, consult a professional Wait a minute, touchscreen? Don't be too obsessed with it. When you finally get it working, you will only use it 2% of the entire life of the pc. But hey! I who says you shouldn't go on an adventure? *good luck * |
Razak5:*and keep the Antivirus updated |

SkydaDGreat:Yep, let's start with the bad news- power button is located right on the keyboard, so if the keyboard start going bad, it starts with 1 key at a time until it becomes 3 keys at a time, God help you if the power button gets bad too- that means you can not even use an external keyboard! What the hell do you want me to say? Damn! You can't even power the Laptop And the classic "the keyboard is scarse" thing. Plus it's a bit expensive :11k-12k, still need to ask though cos' this price was from 2016...you get my drift? AND THE GOOD NEWS IS 1. The keyboard is available. 2.Just replace it and you'll be fine 3.Get it now that it's cheaper (wait! does this sound like good news ) *good luck * |
therealMcCain:Ok, let's start like this: Possibilities: 1. RAM- well, ridiculous right? Chances are you've been using the PC for a very long time and occasionally when you start it the caps lock key blinks several times before the screen displays - of course it displays normal so you just passed until now. check the RAM, could just be a quick fix. 2. SIGNAL CABLE: so, the screen is not some magical stand alone device that just displays what ever you want it to. Goodness me! There's a cable that connects it to the board. And yes, you're right, constant opening and closing might cause the wires to break or get jumbled up over time. So get a technician to check the signal cable (and yes you do need a technician, don't shy away ) 3. SCREEN: Aha! Here we are, so after level 1 and 2 are successfully scaled and same issue persists, then check with another screen. 4. BOARD: Arrrgh, here we go again, so if 1,2, and 3 fails, then the technician will have to check the board. Well, If it's the GPU, He's going to heat it (to seat well on the board) - if this fixes it then your laptop might work for as long as a year. And if village people refuse to allow the board work then you'll have to replace the board.*good luck* |

lokojay1989:Yes, HP mini- N35000 |
ollah2:Don't forget, the "ideal" is what is being discussed |
WeareCasaP:May be the word route might have a different meaning here? ![]() |
swizzy2k:OS? Nope! Battery? possibly. Charger? Could be. Board(power IC + more) — possible. Next step=> Try another battery - still the same? Try another charger with the new battery - still the same? Oya you and your convoy should go and see a technician ![]() |
I've always told people that the future of storage is about to get naughty... "imagine running an entire OS from a remote location". All what your computer will carry will be screen +Processor... The day wey village people will go to that location ehn ![]() The locations are mirrored across several locations though. |
Dlee1:Oh! For this series, Naaah.... |
Dlee1:Of course you can get an Intel board (not easy to find). Too many variants. But the graphics won't be "dedicated". - and yes, same power requirement. |
hugoboss70:1.Power unit = 3k-5k depending on the extent of the damage. 2. Battery = 6k 3. Keyboard = 3,5k. Every thing can be done with N13,500. Call/WhatsApp on 08128714767 Quoted you earlier, I asked - "does it show any sign when you plug in the charger?" |
hugoboss70:Does it show that the charger is plugged in? |
