Reynaguy07:Hello @Reynaguy07 Possible causes & way out 1. MEMORY: The RAM might no longer be as great as it once was. It might need replacement. If you recently did a memory upgrade, go back to the previous RAMs that was in there. If you added another RAM chip, take it out and see if the situation remains. The error code is purely memory related. And the RAM is the first piece of Hardware to check when you get that error code. 2. Incompatible /corrupt driver can also be the cause of this kind of issues. Search for the corrupt driver and uninstall. A good way to do this is to perform a system restore- back up your files before embarking on this procedure. *cheers* |

Hello Unlike Hp, Dell, Toshiba and Lenovo, fujitsu isn't a well known brand in Nigeria. In fact chances of getting the board are so slim. Hence, I have no knowledge how much it will cost to get a board. *The best you could do is fix the PC, use for some time whilst planning on getting another PC-this time a known brand. If at all you want to go far, don't go farther than Asus. I'll check around - kindly help with the model number /series *cheers* |
supaNOVAE:You're welcome. |

supaNOVAE:Hello, Yes, @sotall is right. Trying with another keyboard is only a troubleshoot procedure- it's worth a try. However, there are other troubleshoot procedures necessary to determine the fault. This can only be achieved when you visit a technician. Not a DIY thing. |
Mtrinitymayor:Hello there Here's a link on creating a bootable flash drive = https://www.poweriso.com/tutorials/how-to-make-win7-bootable-usb-drive.htm and here's a link on how to install from the flash drive = https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-clean-install-windows-7-2624917 in the article you might want to skip the BIOS option, because pressing F12/Fn+12 key leads you straight to a list of bootable devices where you will select the flash drive. Note: your files will be completely wiped out during the process. If you still need your files you will need to back them up first on another drive But just like everything else with very long processes, you may want to save yourself some stress and get it done for a token amount. Even yet, there's no harm in a bit of adventure! I'm on WhatsApp - 08128714767 *cheers* |
coast27:You're welcome. Glad you appreciate it. |
Genteman:Hello, Someone already suggested taking out the keyboard first, then power the laptop and see if it passes the BIOS screen. ... I know you may be like - what the hell has my BIOS got to do with the keyboard?... Well, first of all let me assure you we've not gone psycho ![]() Here's the logic-sometimes when the function key responsible for getting into bios goes bad, it gets pressed down(although you may not notice). So each time you power your laptop, it responds to the function key, and bam! it's in BIOS! So, Try with another keyboard. *Cheers * |
Achimaechi:Hello. Try the following 1. Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then put the battery back in. See if it powers. 2. Power the laptop with the charger plugged in. ...one quick question- Does your laptop display anything immediately after pressing the power button? Let's have your feedback *Cheers* |
Brand new laptops usually come with at least 4hrs plus battery. Although, if you're looking for 8hrs up, then you should gear up more cash. The more recent a laptop is, the better it terms of battery. Reason is this: manufacturers now put more emphasis on sleek design, mobility and battery duration... Well, at the risk of sounding salesy, I do have a few recommendations in my store you could check out. *cheers* |
Hello, Are you looking for a brand new or used? How many hours of battery? bear in mind that the minimum any good battery should give is 2hrs to 4hrs. So, tell us, what's your target? |
kapelvej:You're welcome. What version of Windows are you using? |
abiriba:Hello, Since it displayed in the external monitor, its either the screen connector (flex) or the screen. *Cheers * |
NaHiim:Yes, you might need to check first and with another processor |
NaHiim:Hello @NaHiim Looks like your g series Laptop does have quite a few issues (from the power connector that peeled off to this... ) well, regarding the blinks, I culled the following from a nairalanders article (@Miksoniks) from 2009-still relevant. The diagnostic utilities use the LEDs near the Num Lock or Caps Lock keys to blink a series of error codes. There is a pause and the pattern repeats continuously at the end of the series of blinks until the error is resolved. LED Component Error Condition Blinking battery power LED Battery Insufficient charge on the battery Blink: 1 - Caps Lock/Num Lock CPU CPU not functional Blink: 2 - Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS corruption failure Blink: 3 - Caps Lock/Num Lock Memory Module error not functional Blink: 4 - Caps Lock/Num Lock Graphics Graphics controller not functional Blink: 5 - Caps Lock/Num Lock System board General system board failure Blink: 6 - Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS authentication failure *cheers * |
Genteman:Hello I'd like a bit more description. Starting from when you hit the power button. |
kapelvej:Hello there, Try the following first 1. Look at your hard drive, how much space is left? Are you the type that saves everything in the world in your computer? well if the space is large enough (60GB to 100GB), proceed to 2.*Usually when you open files, programs, utilities etc, these programs and files usually break up leaving pieces scattered around (fragmentation) in the hard drive, now when next you want to access the files, the computer does an extra job by pulling all these file from wherever they are together. Hence the śluggishness. This takes us to step 2. 2. Defragment your hard drive. What the hell is "defragment"? Well, defragmentation is a process that brings all your files in one piece so your computer can easily access them. Here's how to go about it: The process is pretty much the same on all windows versions - on the start menu(7&10)or start screen(8/8.1) find the disk defragmentation utility, run it > a window opens showing how much fragmented your disk is. Click on the analyse button - this analyses the hard disk. > If it says your hard drive doesn't need defragmentation, then the whole process is probably going to be useless for your HDD, just close the program. >If it says otherwise, then go ahead and defragment. This might take some time depending on how fragmented your Hard drive is. >After defragmenting, restart your PC, do you feel any improvement? *cheers* BTW what windows version do you use? This could help us. |
coast27:Hello @coast 27 One of the signs of an aging board is that some ICs on the board either grow weak or get detached from the board over a certain period of time. In your case, the display IC (AKA graphics IC, AKA graphics card, AKA GPU, AKA VGA) has detached from the board. So, you'll have to heat the display IC, so that it reconnects properly with the board. Usually if you computer hasn't been used for too long, this should fix the issue and you should be able to use your system for a longer time. However, yours is a different case! So, each time the GPU detaches, it doesn't display, and off you go again to the engineer - and the cycle continues ![]() Now that you are fully aware of what's going on, the only permanent remedy to this issue is changing the board... *Cheers* |
fineboynl:Have you checked the BIOS to be sure that it hasn't been disabled? If it's enabled in the BIOS, then the forum would like to know what you've tried. Then we take it up from there. *Cheers* |
I think there's a mis-understanding here... "offline download " as you have requested are usually available in DVDs. or if you're lucky someone might have downloaded it into their external hard drives...and yes it comes at a price. @pyrex23 did make mention of that I guess. If all else fails... and I hate saying that, you may (as a last resort) need to reformat with another win7 installation media. Thereafter install the required drivers. I once had issues with the Wi-Fi of probook 6460b (the 14 " , tried all I could, until I realised my installation media had some... Y'know... *good luck * |
pyrex23:Could even be NGN200. Nice suggestion by the way. |
Hello, Op, hope you're not panicking already ![]() 1. @pyrex23 has suggested you get a drivers pack CD, Once you insert it in the DVD player of the PC, all you have to do is to run the program. The program scans all the available hardware on your PC, and shows you the ones that have no drivers( your Wi-Fi inclusive), all you have to do is click "install". Make sure you uncheck the programs box, so that the programs don't start installing - it can be a time waster. 2. @AnodaIT has also suggested you connect to the Internet via another laptop. Search for the drivers by going to hp.com, then click on the part that says "support and drivers" there after a page opens, in there you are provided with a box where you enter the laptop model (probook 6560b), a list of the drivers appear. > Select the one related to the network, network controller... You should download and save to a flash drive. Once done, unplug your flash drive, then plug into the ProBook 6560b, access the flash and run the driver by double-clicking it...its usually in this format - sp134... *good luck * |
NaHiim:Hello, A new motherboard for the same laptop? |
Skepticus:Who the hell are you?? ![]() |
Benjaniblinks:Hi, @Benjaniblinks Hope you were able to resolve the issue with your compaq. Windows 8.1 hmmm I'd like to tackle this with the following assumptions. 1. That you're a medium level user. You can carry out basic computer operations including formatting - and that's it. 2. That you either upgraded to win 8.1 or mistakenly played around with some settings. 3. You're interested in OS being in a clean State. Let's start with the basics 1. Grant Admin privilege On your start, press Windows key+R >in the box, type " control userpasswords2". A user accounts window opens > select user by double clicking > Click Properties > Group membership tab > be sure the radio button is on Administrators. 2. Check for file errors and correct them The following method for running SFC.exe was adapted from Microsofts forum. - well what matters is it worked. Run System File checker to see if you have any corrupted system files. Go to Start Page > Type: CMD > The Apps page will come up. > Right click CMD.exe > Click “Run as Administrator” on the bottom pane. >If you get the User Account Control prompt. Click Yes to continue. >At the Command Prompt, type: sfc /scannow This will check for any integrity violations and fix any corrupted operating system files. There are other methods - but hey to much tweaking - which may not work. Regarding the formatting of your PC, we'll you'll need an installation media (flash or DVD).... *cheers* |
chicobaddest:Visit https://drp.su/en Select "expert mode" > mark the Intel HD graphics > install. If you can't attempt the above, I could help out for a fee Call or WhatsApp on 08128714767 *Cheers* |
TopWinner:Hello, You can call or WhatsApp on 08128714767. Thanks. |
Nyerhovwo101:Hello, You can always get a fix- 08128714767. |
Pegasus01:Hello, It'll cost between 18k - 20k + fixing. Reach me on 08128714767 *cheers* |
Nyerhovwo101:Hello, Here is the diagnosis; 1. Beeps at interval of three secs- has something to do with the display (may be VGA) 2. You plug in the charger it displays- now, this rules out the VGA issue in No. 1 Here's the result A strand of wire running through the signal cable to the screen is corrupt (broken). You might have noticed that prior to this time when you turn your display you experience some slight flicker which you didn't count as something. Although experienced technicians say it could be that the voltage from the battery end isn't flowing as it should to the screen.... But whatever it is, it's fixable. Get a technician to look at the signal cable ASAP so you don't brick your board. However after repair, you MIGHT have to live with something - That is- you may not be able to adjust the brightness of the display. sorry. BTW, what model of compaq is it? *cheers* |
NaHiim:If your are on WhatsApp, kindly contact me on 08128714767. Or if you're cool with it, we might as well continue our conversation here: Any pix of the affected area? |
