irumole1975: Lies. The only thing that attract women is a man's look. A Man can be toxic, doesn't communicate, doesn't give her attention, Only call her when he's Hot, doesn't respect her, doesn't help out in any way, manipulate her...... But as long as he's good looking and handsome, 99% of women will stay and love him I don't think this is 100% correct. Yes, women like handsome men. But I don't think a woman will like a man that disrespect her and don't give her attention . And you don't know Persephone1 that much to conclude this |

Dreamsss: I also imagined that he asked his question based off the fact that he wanted to know how people offset tuition. But this one that he is all about the cheddar itself and talking about 2 million on a monthly basis, then his best bet is to go and experience things for himself. Nobody can adequately supply him info on that. People are different, so are our experiences. As he's said 2 mill today, so have I known others, that barely made it to finish their programs, because of money problems in that same UK. One thing for sure though, is that neither of the two rhetorics will inform my personal decision to study in the UK. You're right. I agree with you. I've personally met people whose studies were truncated because of money too. That's why I think about ways I can give enough information to my people so they can apply for scholarships and needn't worry about getting stressed in such manner |

Oga/madam, No skip this response below Dont let those answers fool ya. Uber, Amazon and co will run an e-verify and background check on you… Mind you, most states, if your I-94 is out of status, you shall be refused driver’s license… so how can do uber, doordash, amazon and co without driver’s license? Also, work authorization is a federal requirement and it cannot be overridden by state. Immigration is on the exclusive list… and cannot be concurrently administered by state… I’m talking from my limited night school knowledge. Consult your immigration lawyer! With ur fancy degree… good luck competing with Hispanics with massive technical edge and experience over you. 😂 One reason people no longer give real advise and real situation is to avoid things like "you're discouraging me from japa" even from people who don't have passport yet. When you tell them to take GRE, TOEFL, and make their application standard so that they can get scholarships rather than coming here to be doing under the table job and suffer, they will think you're their enemy and you don't want them to japa. I used to think guy don't you like your tuition paid by the school? Why must you suffer to pay when others are getting theirs waived? Apply eith legal documents and watch the door opened for you . But once you start giving them advice of how to japa using one border in Brazil or Portugal, they'll listen to you and they'll believe you. Things don't work this way. Do it legally and you'll enjoy it |

Kenny4smart: The all-comprehensive answer I’ve been looking for. I believe there must certainly be a way but needed an insider to validate it. God bless👍 While looking for information, don't be mislead. If things happen like the way this guy said, why are people still studying, why don't they just look for jobs? The advice I'll give are practical ones that won't involve you shooting yourself in the leg Only to get here and be like "I wasn't told" $30k in tuition isn't easy money. If it is, Americans won't be taking loans to go to school. So, why don't you try and apply for an assistantship that'll get your tuition waived? Or better still, if you don't get it, if you have savings enough to cover your first year, that's good too. It's a 2yrs program and the only thing you can do to help yourself is to make sure your tuition is ready or covered in some ways. Don't believe the advice this individual gave you. I don't know why klawaa is giving you such advise, maybe it's what an average nigerian want to hear You won't raise $30k by working illegally and still studying at the same time. The money you get from Uber can sort you accomodations and utilities, but tuition ?? |

bmichael22: Hi,
I thought OPT is after studies or towards the end of studies, not at the start of studies? Or one can choose when to commence OPT, be it start, middle or end? There's pre completion OPT (PhD students can basically do a pre completion OPT in their second year of study) and there is Post completion OPT (after study) which is 40hrs/week. While doing pre completion OPT, be careful not to do full-time as you won't be able to use the 2yrs extension of Post completion OPT for stem students |

Somehow, you left out Mr whose the boss , cos they both said the same thing after doing their research.
Samsung was not even the first to play that trick on its customers (I've forgotten the name of the first company), but they made theirs slicker.
Imagine having the exact same moon picture on thousands of s22 ultras released
That shet is fake bro
Do you own one ? Yes I own one. The snapdragon edition first released in the US. This is my real moniker. The reason I opened mannid was that nairaland didn't allow me to comment on your post with this when I wanted to. Your bolded claim is correct if we assume that (1) There are Many moons and as such the picture taken by my own S22 Ultra will be different from the one taken by yours at different times. But there's one moon. Everyone on earth sees the same moon just at different time depending on where you're seeing it from. So, the picture of the moon taken should look the same. (2) your claim suggested that Samsung run an algorithm on this device which probably download moon pictures and fine-tune them for better quality. I don't think this is the case. But it's possible. No one knows better than Samsung. And we can only go by what they tell us I can upload different pictures of the moon taken at different point (complete dark and partial daylight)

chibertha: I got my EAD in early Feb. It was from USCIS. Your school will give you I-20, which you would use to apply.
So first, you apply on your school sight for OPT, then get approved and sent an updated I-20, which you will use to apply for your EAD from USCIS. The cost is $410 as of today.
Note Start applying for jobs 6 months before your graduation so that you do not get stranded. Thanks for the tip. So it means you basically need to apply on your school website for OPT first, and that'd prompt them to send an updated i20 for work authorization to the USCIS. Thanks. Some people talked about a way to have this $410 waived I don't know 😆 |

Lawal1555: Thank you for your response.
So many questions running through my mind.
Will I be interviewed based on the previous DS 160 or the current one?
Do they have the workforce to check the previous DS 160 of over 200k apps in Nigeria before the interview?
Do they have the technology that automatically picks inconsistency in the previous/current DS160 during the interview?
It became a source of worry because I was opportune to have my previous ds160 available after seven years. What about people who jumped from one agent to another with different ds160 information and later secured visas?
I’m not trying to be smarter here, but I am only trying to give myself some courage and reason to get it right. No. Embassy has never and will never start to study your DS160 before you appear for interview. This myth is something that has consistently found its way into social media in Nigeria especially where US F1 Visa is being discussed. And I thought anyone could have debunk this myth by now The reason is simple. Officers don't have time to do this. Your DS160 Only appears Infront of his computer when he collect your passport to scan. And you need to be there before they do this . These officers have been trained on what they look for on your ds160. They match the consistency of what you're telling them with what you filed on your DS160. And in fact this can be done within 2mins maximum. While at it, you still need to understand that approving your visa is at the discretion of the officer interviewing you. And these officers have denied visa for baseless of reasons that we sometimes don't even understand. And that's why people try again. When you want to reapply, use a new ds160,your circumstances have changed; within these years, COVID happened, your girlfriend broke up with u, your dog died, you've added weight. So these officers are not expecting your condition to still be the same after 7yrs, Except the information that don't change, like you date or birth |

idirect: Thank you for your prompt response. The admission I got is MSc and the tuition is around 20k after deduction of scholarship The POF I want to use is just for me to wiggle through I-20 and visa process. Do you think I can hustle this over there with a little support from home please? And most importantly, do I have a shot for my I-20 and visa application if I use my company details as my POF Great. That sounds good. $20k. If you have other supports, this isn't hard. When you take your company's account to the embassy, what they want to know is why your organization is spending this much on you to go to school. Your job is to convince them why. And that's easy. Just provide your school with what they need And they'll issue your I-20. Also, when you resume or before you resume, find a way to contact the school to discuss about how you can get a GA role outside your department if your department can't offer u a TA. With that you will be able to offset your tuition and still have some stipends to yourself at the end of the month. These roles are usually advertised at The begining of the semester |

idirect: Boss, I am struggling to arrange this POF of a thing as I don’t have enough fund in my own account. I however can get the all the required documents from company if I want to use them as my sponsor on paper and get my I-20. Please, I want to know your opinion on that please. It depends on the length of the program you're planning to do. While it's easier to wiggle through a Ms program without funding since it's a 2yrs program, once you have support from home, place of work, your savings and the little hustle you are able to do on Campus trying to raise money, the same can't be said of PhD (it's a 5-6 yrs program). I don't advise people to take PhD admissions without funding. Working shifts to raise $30k tuition per year isn't as easy as you've been told. That said, if it's a PhD, I'll advise you seek funding. Even if it means you'll reapply to better schools that'll give you funding+admit. You'll get one as Long as you do the right thing. Even if it means you have to stay 6months more in Nigeria to seek for funding, do it, it's worth it. The stress of school+ the stress of looking for Money to pay your tuition will backfire no matter what anyone tells you. If it's a Masters degree without funding and you have enough savings or you have alternative means of getting money, it's fine. It's Only for two years, and things get easier after that. The point here is make sure the POF you want to use will be one that's consistent, one that will sustain you through the program. You need to have help from somewhere. Otherwise paying your way through $30k every year is crazy. Funding is important. And getting one is easy if you put in the work. Even if you work 24hrs nonstop for 6months at McDonalds, you might not be able to raise this type of money. My advise is that make sure you have the means to pay your tuition; either through an assistantship, your own savings, company's money, family fund or other means. I'm saying this because I know how it is. |

BigIyanga: I dont have any problem if people use agents for B1/B2… but F1/F2/J Visa, it clearly shows that an applicant is not interested in doing the basic intellectual work… so how are they going to face their school work, project and research? I once advised an F1 applicant not use an agent…. They felt I didnt want them to succeed… and they got rejected.
Your interview starts immediately you start filling your school’s application and DS160. Most agents don't know what has been done before visa interview, so they are likely to fill your form with their pre-filled generic answers. DS160 no dey forget lol Thing is if you advise an average Nigerian to be careful about using agents, to work on getting their own admission and funding themselves, and that all these things can be done by them, they feel you don't want them to come. You see things like "he's discouraging me from japa" "he doesn't want me to come" . These are obvious desperation. Take your time to figure this thing out and you'll get what you want. That's why I stop giving them candid advise. Even if I see one without funding coming for PhD, instead of me to tell him to convince the school to give him funding, I'll rather advise him to come because it is easy to pick $50,000 on the street in the US. That's what they want to hear. Anything contrary, you become their enemy |

richwilson802: Both the iPhone 14 and Samsung S23 are expected to be high-end smartphones with advanced features and capabilities. Here are some key differences you may want to consider:
Operating System: The iPhone 14 runs on Apple's iOS, while the Samsung S23 runs on Google's Android. If you are already familiar with one operating system, it may be more convenient to stick with that system.
Design: The iPhone 14 is known for its sleek, minimalist design, while the Samsung S23 is often praised for its larger, high-quality display.
Camera: Both phones are expected to have advanced camera systems, but the specifics of each camera will vary. If camera quality is important to you, you may want to compare the features of each phone's camera system.
Price: The price of the iPhone 14 is expected to be higher than the Samsung S23. If budget is a concern, the Samsung S23 may be a more affordable option.
Ultimately, the decision between the iPhone 14 and Samsung S23 will depend on your personal preferences, needs, and budget. Consider comparing the features of each phone to determine which one is the best fit for you. Everything is true here. Except where you talk about the price. S23 ultra ($1299 for the 256GB variant) is More expensive than the iPhone 14 pro Max ($1099 for the 256GB). The Camera system in the Samsung flagship also has some bit of edge to it. I hope you've heard of the 100* zoom. And I also think that Samsung pay and Samsung wallet offer a more secured pay platform especially when you synchronize it with your Samsung Galaxy watch |

What should I do now? Or is it possible to still be considered for deferment again the second time ?
Or it’s the end of the road? And channel my energy on getting another admission again? It's not the end of the road. Things happen. Now you have many options! (1) talk to the school again and see what can be done. You'll be amazed at how accommodating they want to be (2) Your emergency appointment isn't limited to one slot I think 🤔. I'm not really sure about this but I think you can apply twice consecutively. It it's rejected twice, I think you will have to wait for 6 months (3) another option is to start applying for schools again. It's not bad to have fall back options you know |

Lawal1555: Greetings,
Please, I’m having a little challenge with my previous ds160. In 2016 when all hopes were down, I tried using an agent to secure a US visa. While filling out the ds160, he misrepresented me by putting the wrong institution and program without my knowledge; I discovered this error when I demanded a ds160 printout. I went for an interview, and I was denied; I stopped applying for any visa and started building my life.
Now I have secured admission with funding, how do I face the challenge of conflicting information on my previous and current ds160? Do I put my real institution because there is no way I would continue with the school he filled in the last ds160?
Please help me. I don't think there's an issue with this. If the only thing he misrepresented is the name of the school, then you're good because that One is long gone since you were denied. Now that you have a new school, go with that. So far it's not your name that was misrepresented |

Even if professors don't have funding to take you in as RA, the department can take you in as TA. TAs roles are often assigned by departments from the department funding. They might have reached their admission quota for the term you're applying for. Sometimes they just don't have a good reason to discard your application other than we can't admit that much.
