Please I got admitted for fall 2023 for my masters degree... I got an interview date for March 10 can I go for the interview ,or can I reschedule, I’m thinking it out of the 120 window days

Two things are likely to happen, you might be turned back to reschedule and book a date with the 120days frame or you might be interviewed and if successful, your passport will be given back to you and your application will be on pending and will be asked to send your passport through a courier to the embassy when its within the 120days frame for your visa stamp(happened to a close friend). No longer applicable. Anyone can now go for visa interview a year before resumption (for F1 Visa) but they won't be allowed into the US until a month before resumption. Find attached

At the bolded, it is rare or impossible to see a grad student living in a cheap state and earning such amount per year only through stipend. Note I said only. Even many in the bay region don't earn that save for a few in Physics or in competitive STEM.

Grad students at some ivy league earn as high as $45k. But then, they spend more too. It depends, in general, on where the school is located. Some schools are in a city where cost of living is high

This is not entirely true. I think it depends on location. We just got a car like two months ago, Ford focus 2013, 98000 mileage for $4500 from a dealership. Verly clean.

Depends on the seller. I think a friend once told me he got his car from a seller on Facebook marketplace. And he paid instalmentally.

Lol . About two years ago, maybe before COVID, cars were very cheap. Back then, anyone can get a used car with something around $3k to $4k, especially when you're buying from someone who want to sell, or leave the US. But now, getting a car isn't that cheap. And it might be hard for a student on stipend to cough out $8k for a used car, unless you reside in a cheap state and your stipend is about $35k per year.

I was told I will need a car in Ohio state that I will be moving to. So trying to weigh the best options. Get a car financing or save up to buy a fairly used car. Someone talked about exploring Facebook market to see some options to purchase a car. What do y'@ll think please?

How do you want to get a financing should be the question you'll need to answer. First, financing most things might need you to provide your Credit History in which case you'll need to have your SSN and must've been financing things so they can reconcile your credit scores. But someone else can provide more clarification on this. But I'll assume you're already in the US and already have a credit History. It's easy to get a car.


If you save up and buy a car too, that's good. Some people might advise you otherwise, but I won't. And that's just personal .

Check Facebook marketplace. You'll see people that want to offer their car up for sale. Be sure to know the mileage though

LoL. So far you're brother has the old school's SEVIS ID on his Visa , I'm sorry he needs to appear in that school for the transfer in And out process. The officer in charge at the old school will be the one to transfer him out on the date he wants. Let him appear in that school and follow due process. It doesn't hurt to do that, I guess .

I even Heard some schools might ask the student to complete a semester, but I've not seen anyone affected by this.
