European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Chelsea V Blackburn: Can Chelsea Still Make It? by realatah(m): 5:37pm On Jan 12, 2011
Chelsea host Blackburn at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in dire need of a win to keep them within range of leaders Manchester United.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side has won just once in their past nine in their flailing English Premier League defence, and despite a comprehensive 7-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town in their third-round FA Cup encounter to boost morale, Chelsea need to win against Blackburn to settle speculation the Italian is on borrowed time at the club.

Striker Daniel Sturridge scored twice in the victory over Ipswich in front of the home fans, but Ancelotti refused to guarantee the youngster with a start against Rovers.

“He played well, scored, is a good player and a good striker, very dangerous,” Ancelotti said.

“In the future, he’ll have opportunities. We have a lot of games in this period coming up. I think he has to fight with the other strikers, but everyone has to fight. There are a lot of players in competition up front.”

The Blues will be without John Obi Mikel due to a knee injury, while long-term absentees Alex, Yossi Benayoun and Yuri Zhirkov are also on the sidelines. Even though i am not a Chelsea fan, i'am going for home win here.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / No Wonder Wenger’s Soft Lads Never Win Anything by realatah(m): 6:08pm On Dec 14, 2010
Arsenal last lifted a trophy in May 2005. Patrice Evra recently called this a “crisis”. When you consider that Manchester United haven’t gone longer than just ONE YEAR without a trophy since Sir Alex Ferguson’s first in 1990, it makes the five trophyless years of Arsenal look dreadful.

The problem with Arsenal is they’re soft lads and cry babies, a trait they have picked up from the manager, who never sees anything his players do wrong, but is quick to blame someone else for everything.

Wenger was slagging Shawcross off for a challenge he made in a game that didn’t even involve Arsenal, yet when Jack Wilshere was making shocking tackles weeks later, the Arsenal boss was quick to defend him and play it down. He launched an attack on all bad tackling which totally imploded when he failed to criticise the dangerous tackling from his own players. Any credibility he had over kicking bad challenges out of the game was lost.

After committing 17 fouls on United players last night (more than Stoke or Bolton committed against us), after forcing just one good save from Edwin Van der Sar in 90 minutes, the Arsenal boss complained about the pitch. I mean, this stuff has to make you cringe. As if Arsenal were playing on a different pitch to United, regardless of what state it was in (being honest, from the stands, it looked bloody great for December!).

The problem with having a soft lad for a manager is that you are going to have soft lads for players. Instead of having gutsy players, who wear their heart on their sleeve, who are straight talking, want to get stuck in and do the business, you have namby pampby cry baby sorts, just like Wenger.

Step forward Jack Wilshere.

Today he was moaning on Twitter:
“To be honest the pitch was shocking! Wanted to stop us playing!”

The Emirates pitch is beautiful, obviously, like Arsenal’s football, obviously. The last two times we’ve played on their beautiful pitch we’ve spanked them, beating them 3-1 in the league and 3-1 in the European Cup semi-final. Aside from the fact it’s obviously a cry-baby excuse, why does Wilshere think we would try and stop Arsenal play by fucking up the pitch? As if the mighty Arsenal, who’ve lost to the likes of Newcastle and West Brom this season, could only be beaten by United on a dodgy pitch. We played them off the park at the Emirates on what I assume Wilshere believes to be a perfect pitch (he later went on to call the Emirates ‘the home of football’. Maybe he’s young, maybe he’s thick, but the Emirates is the home of a side that hasn’t had a piece of silverware to its name since playing there. It’s not like an Arsenal player/fan/manager to be arrogant though is it…)

Regardless, long may their bitching and whining continue. For as long as they look for any other excuse or reason to blame, the longer they will ignore the flaws in the squad and way of playing which have seen them fail so miserably at being successful for over half a decade now.

@tkb417,

Actually I hv got something going on at www.Nigeriabet.net and wouldn't like to duplicate efforts unnecessarily, i could give you access to post on my blog if you wish, i know this is what obtains in other parts of the globe where we have more than one punter on a blog. We should be able to do the same thing for ourselves to achieve the utimate aim which is helping ourselves (Nigerians) make good decisions on football betting.

@ Black_Revo,

I don't sell any ebook. if you follow this thread well, i said i research into it every week b4 i come up with my own predictions.
I came accross the ebook i talked about during one of my time online looking for more knowledge on football betting. I don't know the owner of the site from anywhere and the book is even free, so i never mentioned selling any ebook.

I only made reference to the ebook because of the statment made by baslone "it is possible to prosper betting on football, but often only when
you have an expert to guide you"

I think what people are looking for is get-rich-quick. whatever business you want to enter, you need time to master it, no matter how prepared you are from the beginning. Like wise in football betting, you don't become expert overnight.

@ mystikal

I hope to start this very soon but i'm still thinking about it because it takes time and energy to continue it and i don't want to start what i can't keep.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Premier League Preview: Arsenal V Fulham by realatah(m): 2:20pm On Dec 02, 2010
Arsenal will aim for nothing less than maximum points when a struggling Fulham side visit the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger's team endured two embarrassing defeats in quick succession last month, surrendering their 17-year unbeaten run at home to local rivals Spurs in a 3-2 defeat in the process.

That derby shock was quickly followed by 2-0 defeat away to Braga in the Champions League, a match that also put influential captain Cesc Fabregas out of action for up to three weeks.

But Arsenal bounced back with a 4-2 win away to Aston Villa on Saturday and followed it up with a 2-0 victory at home to Wigan in a Carling Cup quarter-final on Tuesday.

Chelsea's poor form has seen Arsenal draw level with the champions on 29 points, with both teams two points behind leaders Manchester United.

With Sir Alex Ferguson's side heavy favourites up against promoted Blackpool in the late kick-off, Wenger will be well aware of the importance of collecting all three points against Fulham in order to keep pace with the league leaders.

Fabregas, along with Abou Diaby and Thomas Vermaelen, all miss out through injury, while Emmanuel Eboue and Manuel Almunia remain doubtful.

Fulham arrive at the Emirates without a win since October and are yet to record a victory on the road this season.

They did manage a 0-0 draw with Newcastle in their last match away from home, but succumbed to a heavy 4-1 defeat at home to Manchester City a week later. A 1-1 draw at home to Birmingham City last time out will do little to boost Mark Hughes' confidence ahead of a daunting trip to north London.

Ex-Arsenal man Philippe Senderos has missed the entire season due a calf injury and will not make a return to his former club, while forwards Moussa Dembele and Bobby Zamora are also ruled out.

If Chelsea and Manchester United slip-up and Arsenal win, the Gunners could go top, while the best Fulham can realistically hope for is to escape with a draw.

For me this is purely home win match, because I sense that Arsenal will not come down for Fulham in any way.

I strongly agree with you baslone. Another thing i also noticed about some folks betting on football is that some of them just pick base on clubs past performances and their fame.

For example, who could have imagined Barca would beat Madrid as much as that and aslo the Carling cup matche between West Ham V Man U. so football can not be judge anyhow u feel, it takes alot more than what some amateur think.

I saw an ebook of resent at 9jarian.com which realy helped me. it talked about an aspect of football betting that i have not learnt before, since then the way i judge football has changed. If you want some professional knowledge, you can get the ebook from the site.

This can realy lead to a profitable football betting experience for you. wink

Thanks form this. I appreciate this info on horses and other u mentioned very much.
Football betting is not a gambling if you know your facts and reason very well. Gambling is 90% uncertain compare to football betting.

This is an extensive research i make everyday to come out with a conclusion every week as predictions.

From experience, what frustrate people in football betting is greed and inexperience. Thousand of people have made good money out of it, including myself. I can therefore testify that it's viable.

Enjoy! wink

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Malaria-stricken Didier Drogba Will Play For Chelsea Against Fulham Tonight by realatah(m): 10:42am On Nov 10, 2010
"For a month, Didier has had this difficulty to train," said the Chelsea manager. "He suffered. He didn’t feel good. He didn’t have the power or the ability to train. I think he lost some of his condition. He was unselfish to play when he was not at 100 per cent.

"He had some blood tests before this and it was not so clear. Then he had the tests on Monday and they showed this kind of virus.

"Now he we know this is the problem. The tests showed he has malaria. It was serious once but now it’s a bit different. You can treat it and move on very quickly. It’s over now. He is OK. He will play against Fulham."
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Manchester City Will Spend Until They Win: Ferguson by realatah(m): 5:11pm On Nov 08, 2010
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes Manchester City will continue to their big spending spree until they eventually win something while admitting that Roberto Mancini’s side are title contenders.

United are set to face City at Eastlands on Wednesday with a three-point lead over their town rivals.

Ferguson told Inside United: “It does put an edge on (the game). I don’t believe there’s any question about that. We know the kind of money they’re spending – they’ve bought
another five or six players in the summer and they’ll keep doing that until they win something.

“You know that’s going to be the way it is and you have to deal with it as it comes along. They’re up there (challenging for the title), and you can’t wait until tomorrow when there’s something there today. I’m sure they’re thinking that way themselves. ”

Both Nani and Ryan Giggs are in a race to shake off their injuries and regain full fitness ahead of the match.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Chelsea Ponder A Move For Barca Star by realatah(m): 4:42pm On Nov 08, 2010
Chelsea are prepared to go the extra mile in order to sign Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets with the Blues set to offer the player a hefty pay rise.

Busquets’ current contract at Barcelona doesn’t suit the player of his qualities and the Catalans are ready to offer the player a new deal, although they face a stiff competition from Chelsea, who look keen on the Spain international.

Carlo Ancelotti wants to rejuvenate his pretty old squad and he should look no further than Busquets, as the Spaniard has got the quality to immediately step into the side, while he can also be regarded as one for the future.

The player’s representatives are aware of Chelsea interest, but Busquets himself is eager to remain at Camp Nou, where he has already established himself as one of the key players in Pep Guardiola’s side.

Nonetheless, with Guardiola’s future at Camp Nou still in the balance, the midfielder may change his mind about staying should his mentor leave the club.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Tevez Targets Derby Return by realatah(m): 12:01pm On Nov 03, 2010

Tevez is currently at home in Argentina visiting his family and friends after suffering a thigh injury during the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, but he is undergoing intensive treatment in the hope of facing former club Manchester United next week.

"I intend to be in the right condition for the derby against United," he said in The Sun.

"I believe I am getting better and will take a fitness test in Buenos Aires over the weekend and will assess the situation after that."

City have now lost two games in succession, with the Arsenal defeat followed by the shock 2-1 loss to Wolves on Saturday, but Tevez believes they will bounce back.

"I hear all the City news and have suffered because of those two defeats, but the season is long and we will have chances to advance up the table," he said.

Tevez has also been named in the Argentina squad to face Brazil in a friendly on November 17.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Wayne Rooney Wants €14m Per Season To Earn More Than Real Madrid's Cristiano Ron by realatah(m): 2:14pm On Oct 21, 2010
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will demand €14 million per season from his next employers should he, as expected, seal a move away from Old Trafford this summer, reports from Spain suggest.

Marca comments that the England international is seeking to become the highest-paid footballer in the world, and edge ahead of former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo in the salary table.

Rooney confirmed in a statement this week his intention to leave the English Premier League side, putting a number of high-profile European clubs on red alert, including Manchester City, Chelsea and Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.

Florentino Perez has made no secret in the past of his admiration for the 24-year-old, and discussed the possibility of bringing him to the Spanish capital during his first stint as los Blancos’ president.

However, Rooney’s exorbitant wage demands cloud the issue of whether Real Madrid would be willing to cause friction between the former colleagues by offering the former Everton attacker a superior salary to that of CR7.

Big-spending Manchester City remain the bookies’ favourites to land Rooney next summer should he fail to resolve his differences with the Red Devils and coach Sir Alex Ferguson.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Wayne Rooney, Look After Number One: Roy Keane by realatah(m): 10:52am On Oct 19, 2010
Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has told Wayne Rooney to ‘look after number one’.

Rooney, whose current deal expires at the end of next season, has reportedly decided against renewing his contract with the Red Devils after seeing his relationship with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson turn sour.

And Keane, who helped United win seven Premier League titles as a player, knows all about falling out with Ferguson having departed Old Trafford in 2005 following a clash with the Red Devils boss.

The now Ipswich boss said: “Players and managers fall out all the time. It’s part of life.

“If I was to offer advice to Wayne, who is a good lad, I would tell him to make sure he looks after number one.

“Players are pieces of meat – that’s how I look at it. When your time’s up, your time’s up.

“Luckily for Wayne he’s at a good age and he’s fit. ”

Enough of this fight with this Rooney guy, I think he should just let him go. Huh
Sports / I Wanted $800,000 To Build Four Artificial Football Pitches-adamu by realatah(m): 5:25pm On Oct 18, 2010
The allegations of vote-selling that have cropped up against Amos Adamu, Nigerian FIFA executive member has been called an embarrassment to the country by a member of the Nigeria's parliament, Godfrey Gaiya.

Adamu, is alleged to have told undercover journalists that he wanted $800,000 to build four artificial football pitches in Nigeria in exchange for voting in favour of the United States as hosts of the 2018 World Cup.

Gaiya said, "It is definitely an embarrassment for the country, but still an allegation for now".

"We have to wait to see evidence or proof before we take any position on the matter. If the story is found to be true, sanctions will surely be taken against him. "

If it's true that he wanted $800k to build pitches why can't he take the right way to get the money?

I see this as an excuse to escape the shameful act of his. sad
