Yea. I think from the write-up, he had engagements in other parts of the state, away from Asaba. If for instance he had to be in Warri or Sapele, Benin is actually closer. He would have been long gone from Asaba by the time his luggage arrived.

Citizenship by naturalisation can be revoked at anytime depending on the circumstances and nature of crime involved. If he had been born in the UK then there wouldn't have been a deportation charge against him.
