The problem with the opposition in Nigeria is they are too emotional and sentimental. They don’t strategize and when they lose they blame INEC.

For all the criticism you can label at APC they are a strategic party when it comes to elections.

Arise crew were making noise about debate, APC told you their voters don’t care about debates, you didn’t listen. Same thing with the presidential election. Because they have done their homework and know the voters and I keep saying it that all the English speaking people that are the Arise audience are less than 20% of the population and of that 20%, they are the ones less likely to stand in the sun or rain to vote. The English speaking portion of the Nigerian electorate don’t matter in the grand scheme of things when it comes to elections. The quicker we understand this the better for the opposition.

3: elections are about who can get the most votes, not who can speak English or who has the best ideas. Democracy is one man one vote. What is important to you does not have to be important to others. I said this in a previous post. The educated in Nigeria assume the arrogance of thinking that what matters to them matters to the farmer, the driver, the man in the village. That’s why they lose elections over and over again. The farmer in auchi does not care about your statistics, your GDP, your English grammar. All that stuff only appeals to the educated populace that are mostly based in the cities and tend not to come out to vote! And even when they do they are an inconsequential minority! For example most of the educated people from Edo do not live in Edi and are not registered to vote in Edo. I have said it many times here that no matter how many times you give PDP and it’s breakaway factions like Obi the expo for winning elections they will still mess up because they are born out of rigging. They’ve not had to use their brains to win elections. The more difficult it is to rig an election the worse the fate of PDP and its breakaway groups have been. Since the introduction of card reader and subsequent improvements to our electoral system , PDP has been imploding as a party. When I say PDP I mean the opposition both LP, NNPP and PDP because they are all fundamentally PDP in DNA.
