Hello Headmonbra, Please have you received a feedback from NB Plc regarding the assessment? They said they will reply after 2 weeks Headmonbra: Don't hold your breath. No one will tell you anything. Looking at previous threads, it seems they are usually warned at the AC that telling other people would give them an advantage over you. |

OJaySeenson: Okay The first thing is usually welcome and document check after which 1. There will be a group discussion. - they will usually give you a scenario in a printed document to read analyze and come up with solutions. Make good contributions, and just be real and professional in all. It will be timed and there will be no group leader. Composure and your contribution is keep and how you relate to others.
Next is the lucky deep or impromptu speech as it where in front of the panel. You will pick a paper from a bowl and speak on the topic u pick - It gonna be a general topic So they want to know how you can think on the spot and take action. IT IS GOING TO BE A GENERAL TOPIC so follow current events in Nigeria and the world. Terrorism, FIFA issue, doping etc just any topic.
You will then have a break and some nice lunch enjoy yourself ..
Next will be the main interview in front of a panel of 4-6 judges. Be confident make contact.
Most interview usually start with TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF so please prepare well make it Professional and link it well with your academics and professional experience and the role in the long run that's my own approach. Just prepare well for all general interview questions. Read about NB PLC, core values etc just be aware Your previous job and professional experience, your masters topics and project. Why do you want to work with NBPlc, why should you be employed. LEARN TO RELAX, TAKE YOUR TIME AND SPEAK CLEARLY AND AGAIN EYE CONTACT WITH ALL THEM IS GOOD.
This role is about Logistics so please read about Logisics and transport and what the job entails You will be asked a question or 2 I believe.
Finally for the panel interview make sure you have 1 or 2 questions for them after everything - ask intelligent questions. Future prospects of the company, how they r adjusting to the current economic challenges - just ask intelligently.
Finally after the panel Interview
another CBT English ( fill in the blank spaces and some fill in the gap with option) maybe a little Mathematics and some mechanical reasoning like logic and pattern.
Then you wait to be called successful by Gods grace
The above is from a brother that made it all the way last year. asked me to share with all that need. success to us all.
and yea, i do have a postgrad degree. i have also been sent a mail asking me to submit all credentials before coming for the assessment. have not gotten the electronic one they said though. just an email asking me to forward docs to the email address. hello, very very thank you I appreciate. Wishing us all success |

mayorde: dear sir,
howa are u doing? i am mayorde, on nairaland.actually we av drafted our partnership agreement and put in place everyother thing as regards who will be the signatories to the account , the bank we are going to use,all other nessecary internal controls. i am a professional accounting student, i will keep the accounts and put in place every neccesary controls.
My concern is that we are not registered yet. do we need registration before we can proceed - and I guess the answer is yes, i may be wrong.what i actually want to know is if we need a certificate of incoporation before we can open a CSCS account and how many signatories can there be to a CSCS account. if we will need a certificate of incoporation or registration of bis name, whichever applies aw do we go about it aw much does it cost. dear mayorde, I appreciate your desire to form an investment club. It is really a step in the right direction. I know a trusted stockbroking firm that will guide you through the certificate of incorporation, cscs and any other neccessity. Business › Benefits Of Investing In Stocks by reaZON(op): 10:46pm On Aug 29, 2008 |
There are numerous benefits attached to investing in stocks. Some of these benefits are realized in the short term while some are realized in the longer term. Some of the benefits include;
1. Dividends 2. Bonus shares 3. Capital appreciation 4. Voting right 5. Collateral 6. Protection against inflation 7. Semi-liquid investment 8. Right issue 9. Ease of transfer 10. Base asset 11. Good savings
DIVIDENDS: At the end of a fiscal year, the company calculates the profit it made and pays you some money out of it (called dividends) depending on the number of shares you have in the company, don’t forget that you still own and keep your shares, you are just being paid part of the profits because you are a shareholder.
BONUS SHARES Bonus shares are extra shares given to you in addition to the number of shares you already have in the company. This is a good way of increasing the number of shares one has in a company and many companies do this a lot. In 2007,Zenith bank plc gave a bonus of 1 for 4 (1: 4), this means that if you have 10000 units, you are given extra 2500 units to make your total stock equal to 12500. Also in 2008 Julius Berger plc gave 3 for 1 (3: 1). That is if you have 10000 units, you are given extra 30000 to make your total holdings in Julius Berger equal to 40000 units. This is very good.
CAPITAL APPRECIATION: This means increase in the value of your money/capital. Say you bought 10000 units of a stock at N2, if it gets to N12, you can sell and get N120000, but you initially spent N20000. Like in January 2007,bank PHB was selling at about N2.50 but by July 2007, it was selling at 25.if you had bought in January; you can sell in July and make 1000% gain. Imagine the profit. If you invested N100, 000, you will get N1, 000,000.So much money.
