Is attorney general now separate from Minister of Justice If No..then this is false |
This can only work if its a national directive, and LASG knows as well..thats where it wasnt implemented in 2012 |
This guy always looks like a cartoon.. |
Why do i feel Lagos will be neglected by APC and the advantage of an APC controlled FG will not be felt |
It is time Buhari removes all those PDP Ambassadors and get people to clean up our embassies!!! |
PDP is the worst thing to happen to Nigeria. But regarding this power issue..i have said it before and it is clearly the work of opposition sabotaging GEJ's efforts back then. |
When you fight corruption, corruption will fight back. |
GEJ and patience know it..they are only waiting for invitation from EFCC |
Jonathan watched this boko haram turn to something huge He should be tried! |
Whats the outcome of the meeting ![]() |
Haha..looks like the IGs stomach is coming down. Days of stomach infrastructure for govt officials gone! |
My observation Op It doesnt seem like you like the states and worried about job opportunities/securities if you decide to stay there Heres what i think. N250k is small money especially in lagos, and for someone that has spent couple of years abroad, it will probably not be in enough for you to get the basic things you are used to. Also getting your residency is very key to moving to Nigeria, just incase things are not like you plan (God forbid, but the company with the off folds up or lay people off in the near future). what do you do? Since they will not wait any longer i see your dilemma..I would suggest you stay in the US at least till you get your residency (if its certain) then try and get some experience before moving to Nigeria, by then you will be getting offers over N500k and have the security of returning whenever you want |
See very gullible Nigerians...just seeing a video and they already believe everything in it From Ikeja mall, to lekki bridge, to oriental hotel to TVC..even to collection of tax...name one of these that has not had a positive effect on Lagos and Lagosians lives as a whole! thats even for those that choose to believe the funds/land were stolen. |
The only person left in PDP The one man party ![]() |
Change is Here Sai Baba! |
Reuben Abati, If your phone did not used to ring before you became special adviser to GEJ. Why would you think it will keep ringing when you are no longer special adviser? I thought that was common sense!. But again you show to the whole Nation what kind of common sense GEJ's team had. You better keep quiet and go in silence before EFCC decides to look into all the Ghana must go you collected! |
OP is a wailing wailer! TANoids trying to attack the spokesman, or maybe you are from Ruben Abati trying to get even ![]() |
With the alleged corruption in NNPC and Ministry of Petroleum How come Diezani is yet to report at EFCC ![]() Oil theft: What we found shocked us, says APC The All Progressives Congress has said it was shocked at the magnitude of cases of corruption it has so far unearthed while going through the records of the previous administration. The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said this in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Abuja, on Thursday. He was reacting to the announcement by President Muhammadu Buhari that some officials of the immediate past administration were involved in stealing one million barrel of crude oil daily. Mohammed said, “We are not just shocked but taken aback by what we have found. We have always known that there was monumental corruption under the previous regime but we did not know it was this huge. “Anybody who calls the questions we are asking a witch-hunt is a person who condones corruption, and again, when we were raising the alarm over this level of corruption they were engaged in, they said we were crying wolf where there was none. “They said it never happened. They even went as far as manufacturing figures to cover up. We must ask questions so that whoever is coming into government will know that it cannot be business as usual and that he/she must be prepared to answer questions after they leave office.” Read More: http://www.punchng.com/news/oil-theft-what-we-found-shocked-us-says-apc/ |
Following the declaration of force majeure by Integrated Energy Distribution and Marketing Company, the core investor in the Yola Electricity Distribution Company, the Federal Government has taken over the beleaguered power firm. Consequently, the Federal Ministry of Power has taken over the management and control of the electricity distribution company. It has also appointed Mr. Baba Mustapha, an engineer, to lead the company in the capacity of an acting managing director. Before his new appointment, Mustapha was a deputy director in the Ministry of Power. The Head of Public Communication, Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mr. Alex Okoh, confirmed the takeover of the electricity distribution company in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Thursday. He, however, declined to give further details. Integrated Energy Distribution and Marketing Company had on six occasions (November 10, 2013, August 27, 2014, October 15, 2014, April 9, 2015, April 30, 2015 and May 13, 2015) given notices of force majeure, which is an irresistible force or compulsion such as will excuse a party from performing his or her part of a contract. Consequently, the matter was tabled before the sub-committee of the Technical Committee on Power of the National Council on Privatisation at one of its meetings. The sub-committee recognised the reality of the force majeure, which was in line with clause seven of the Share Purchase Agreement and made recommendations to the technical committee. The force majeure clause is a standard clause in most contracts and includes events like natural disasters, wars and other occurrences not within the power or control of the executing party that makes implementation of the contract impossible. President Muhammadu Buhari said on Wednesday that his government was examining pieces of evidences that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of some former ministers and other government officials for stealing Nigeria’s crude oil. Mr. Buhari said this at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington while answering questions at a session with Nigerians in the Diaspora. He said it will take at least 18 months to revive the economy. He lamented that some of the affected officials were involved in illegal sale and diversion of crude oil monies belonging to the Federal Government to multiple private accounts abroad. “We are now looking for evidences of shipping some of our crude, their destinations and where and which accounts they were paid and in which country. “When we get as much as we can get as soon as possible, we will approach those countries to freeze those accounts and go to court, prosecute those people and let the accounts be taken to Nigeria. “The amount of money is mind-burgling but we have started getting documents. “We have started getting documents where some of the senior people in government, former ministers, some of them had as much as five accounts and were moving about one million barrels per day on their own. “We have started getting those documents. Whichever documents we are able to get and subsequently trace the sale of the crude or transfer of money from Ministries, Departments, Central Bank. “We will ask for the cooperation of those countries to return those monies to federation accounts and we will use those documents to arrest those people and prosecute them. This, I promise Nigerians.” The President frowned at the way and manner the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation was mismanaged, saying his administration would check the excesses of the corporation. Has Whistle-Blowers Act 2015 been passed already ?? |
We need to constantly find ways to make life easier for ourselves as Nigerians, rather can complicating issues. BVN registration can be made easy for old bank customers by simply requesting for their international passport number. I want to believe the BVN is to get our picture and finger prints, which already exists in the most secure document Nigeria issues her citizens. If the CBN and NIS are both government agencies finger print data can be shared by these two top agencies. For instance a Nigerian in dispora can simply provide their passport number, which is a mandatory document for all Nigerians that have traveled abroad, if the system detects a mismatch i.e Name, Dob such can be required to do a BVN or further documentation. Customers without an international passport can walk-in to the banks and do their signup AND all new customers. With this the identity and BVN is even tied to the customer's travel document (international passport) and be traced when needed. It is time we start to think and start making life easier for ourselves and still getting the work done! |
