Jobs/VacanciesRe: "N-Power" FG Introduces Job Creation Initiative by RedCapChief(m): 2:25pm On Jun 08, 2016
They should concentrate on paying the last batch of the YOU-WIN program. That had a lot of impact
Even the PRESSID scholarship that was awarded based on merit has been scrapped ( because merit and not quota system was used)
Now they have introduced "N-Power" grin
Introducing for the sake of introduction

Hi...Anyone Uniben Doctor with experience of having credential verified via ECFMG. How long did it take? Any contact details of how to expedite the process from Uniben. Mine is taking so much time. Thanks.
I'm not from UNIBEN but ECFMG's process for verifying credentials can take as long as four months. Once your school has submitted your transcript and other stuff, you can relax.

Much worse,it would be the end of the brand called 'Trump' and definitely Congress is going Blue and no better candidate to win the election than Hillary, she has raised $65m for DNC to help those on the down ticket. This is more than enough reason for any Super Delegate to support her cause she knows the importance of keeping them in their seats unlike Sanders who has spent $200m on his own campaign alone and has raised nothing to support Democrats in Congressional races.

Right now I just want to see Sanders sent back to Vermont so we can focus on he who must not be named and make sure we bury him so deep he never has a chance to resurrect in American politics ever again.
Obama couldn't get Congress to go blue and you think Hilary is going to do it? Doubt that. Hilary will win in November because Trump looks like a bad candidate and not because she is a good candidate. I think the GOP will retain their hold on Congress, at least, to keep Hilary in check.

As for brand 'Trump', win or lose, expect a book from that fellow. A $$$$-generating book. Regardless of what happens, Trump comes out on top. The only losers could be the GOP

Now Osinbajo has 10 days to fix it.

Trump will be murdered at the debates and am glad Hillary is hitting him hard already.
If Trump could survive the Republican debates, in spite of a Harvard debating champion (Ted Cruz) and the entire Dump Trump movement; he'll survive Hilary. He just needs to avoid saying something profoundly stupid.

Hilary will hit him hard when she's alone with her faithful followers. It is a different thing when Trump is right there next to her. Just ask Jeb Bush.
Trump is a dirty fighter. He will rile her up and she will lose her cool. Elizabeth Warren would have been a better fighter not Madam Secretary who thrives only in a controlled environment where she is being canoodled by Anderson Cooper or Rachel Maddow.
PoliticsRe: How Buhari Averted Disaster In Ogoni Land ~ By Mohnice by RedCapChief(m): 11:54pm On Jun 03, 2016
oglalasioux:
You are substituting reality for sentiment. Re examine the causes of the Nigerian civil war and ask yourself why USA and France withdrew their support for Biafra. It'll still be the reason they will support the north against the south.

(Northerners are easier to be yes men than the southerners. Who do you think institutionalized corruption in Africa?)
I don't know about USA but France supported Biafra indirectly through Gabon. They wanted Ojukwu to barter the oil wells to them before supporting him directly with fire power. However, Ojukwu refused because he felt Biafra would need the money from those oil wells for rehabilitation and reconstruction.
PoliticsRe: How Buhari Averted Disaster In Ogoni Land ~ By Mohnice by RedCapChief(m):
This analysis is about as intelligent as a piece of yam. The degree of mental fuckery required to produce such crap can only be found at the bottom of the barrel of zombies. The poor piece of literary sewage is a slap to the FP of Nairaland

The army will wipe the entire Southeast and South South off the surface of the earth. The army, Air force, Navy and all other security forces will be given a 'shoot at sight order' to keep shelling the entire region until nothing moves again, yes, nothing.
So, if Buhari dies, Osinbajo will sit down in the office and ask the Army to wipe out two geo-political zones? Where are we going to get the money to prosecute such a large-scale genocide? If Nigeria attacks the SE/SS, not a single drop of oil will be sold legally because oil installations will be bombed. Where will you get the money to buy bullets and feed the soldiers?

No matter how it plays out, the northerners will immediately commence # ethnicCleansing against the # Millions of southerners in the North and the Southerners will also annihilate the # Few northerners in the South and a full scale war that is worse than the # Biafra cum # bokoHaram war will begin.
Yes, there will be skirmishes in the North, but that is all that will happen. Skirmishes. Southerners will flee back to the South. Northerners will run back home. Do you think that boys from Kano will march on Onitsha? or that MASSOB will start chasing Hausa people up to Zaria?
I can't say how the skirmishes will end but know that war requires co-ordination and not the ranting of a mob. Muslims can kill a woman in Kano because of alleged blasphemy. Do you think Muslims in Enugu can do the same?

But after a deep thought, I told myself that Buhari was right to cancel his visit and take the Shame that comes with it
You clearly didn't think deep enough

Nigeria will not divide until those who profit from it are dissatisfied with the status quo. The biggest billionaires in Nigeria are in Northern Nigeria and most of the money has come from oil in Southern Nigeria. Do you think Dantata, Sanusi and Indimi will sit by and watch angry Northern youths tear Nigeria to pieces? They know the Imams, Emirs and Community Heads to reach out to and stop any serious thing from happening

This zombie-like thinking of some Buharimaniacs is becoming too much angry

Trump has a lot of people who support him in secret, a good number of them are minorities. They won't attend rallies or say anything in public - because of political correctness, but in November, they know who they'll vote for.

EducationRe: Campus Politcs Or Self Development? by RedCapChief(m): 10:04am On May 31, 2016
Decide what you want to do and commit yourself to it. Where do you see yourself in the future?
The long-term rewards of campus politics are negligible. The dynamics of real politics in Nigeria is not contingent of how much experience you have gained from campus politics.
Focus on gaining exposure and academic experience while as an undergrad. Expand your network and skill-set. Work towards getting a high CGPA so you can get some scholarship to future your education

Yes. Unfortunately Buhari seems to have another set of priorities. The fact that he started arresting looters before appointing ministers shows that the economy is not on his to-do list.
This is his tenure. I'm tired of hearing the failures of past governments; just what actions he is taking to solve them
TravelRe: Why Nigerians Prefer To Live Abroad by RedCapChief(m): 10:03am On May 29, 2016
pansophist:
Wow, your post made me retrospect about the poignant experience of being black in white land.

You know, its psychologically comforting to walk into a classroom, enter a bus, a shopping mall or any public places without the burden of being the odd one. Living in a foreign society, you carry the baggage of fighting stereotype, proving yourself, thinking your job refusal was due to your hue, and your rude boss treats you differently because of his hidden prejudice towards your kind.

After your brain has been exhausted by the vorfreude andrenaline rush of endorphines associated with migration, it begins to dawn on you that truly, there is no place like home. Social ostracism seems to be the norm for many immigrants, and it seems like there are seeds in the Afro culture that is fundamentally missing in many culture such as empathy, inclusiveness and has a morbid obsession for competition, which makes it extremely difficult to feel at home, especially in a culture with a foundational condescending view on African.

Before moving abroad, I never knew that a mundane thing as skin colour would be the determinant on how I will be perceived, treated and covertly affect direction of my economical position. Just like how I see different skin colours of people in Nigeria and never treat them differently, the opposite is true in many foreign countries. Standard of living is surely very good in the west, but its very unsatisfying for someone that is well breed in the African system communality, and you many times find yourself retrospecting about your past life at home, with all its pleasant memories.

many of the facile comments on this thread portrays inexperience of living abroad, especially if you are a conscious African. Where you are merely tolerated, so as to convince themselves and proof to the world that they ain't racist and got nothing about you. But in reality, your kind if filled within the lower hierarchy of the socio-economical ladder. Admittedly, you will find many black people in top position, but this doesn't invalidate the conventional truth, just like a broken clock is correct twice a day.

To sum it up, if material wealth and comfort is all you crave for, then surely, the west is for you. If you crave for something deep, meaningful and celestial, then relatively, its not for you. if you believe that life will be heaven after you moved abroad, then you probably will end of being a victim of the popular ''grass is greener on the other side'' maxim.

To be black and conscious in the west is to be in a constant state of rage." – James Baldwin
This is so on point!
