Romance › Re: Why Lead Her On? by RedHotChic(op): 11:04pm On Jun 10, 2008
is the question really fair?

don't women lead men on too?

agreed we have more instances

of the male leading the female on,

in cases like this we can't entirely be sure

its cruelity on the mans part,or an ego rush

some guys just don't know what they want,at certain times

am sure this would have happened with quite a few of the guys who would

eventually reply this too

and am

woman holdout on guys tooo
I agree with you, women lead men on too but men seem not to be complaining and they easily come around after a devastating heartbreak.
Romance › Why Lead Her On? by RedHotChic(op): 10:56pm On Jun 10, 2008
Why do some men lead the women in their lives on when they know their relationship ain't going nowhere? which is more masculine, leading her on and not being man enough to tell her it's over or telling her straight up it's over? Could it be that cruelty is part of manhood or that these men actually think it's cool as long as the woman in question is not their relation?
Christianity Etc › Re: Origin Of God by RedHotChic(op): 10:49pm On Jun 10, 2008
Always think of the next question => where did the stones/air evolve FROM; before evolving TO God?
True but where then can we point to prove the origin of God. What if there is no God at all? Do we have any conclusive proof that God actually exists when we haven't seen Him before? what's his/her gender since He made man in his own image and likeness?
Christianity Etc › Re: Origin Of God by RedHotChic(op): 10:47pm On Jun 10, 2008
what gives you the energy to communicate and even think? you all devil worshippers keep on coming here nd proving you are too wise. who keeps the balance in the galaxy and why is there time. when you start thinking out of your caged mind then you will know actually there is a system of design and a force actually designed that system. all things in nature were designed by a supernatural being we can't phantom. even science cannot. even Darwin could not so he found a way to ditch his head with the Natural selection falacy. A Creator exist.
Who is a devil worshipper? Did God not say in the bible that "His children perish because they lack knowledge"? How will you get the knowledge of God if you don't think?

Again, for the records, Charles Darwin was a christian.

Politics › Governor Fashola And Recycled Water by RedHotChic(op): 10:37pm On Jun 10, 2008
Any of you heard the gist that gov Fashola is planning to recycle water in lagos state? I can't find any link to the story but how do you feel about the development? Will Lagos state/Nigeria be trusted to recycle adequate drinking water from sewage?
Romance › Re: What Do Women Value Most In Men? by RedHotChic(f): 10:23pm On Jun 10, 2008
because some women don't want to hear the word NO!
They always want errthing to go their way!
Does that mean that if those women that doesn't like the word "No" request you kill your mother, you'll say "yes" because they just don't like hearing "No"?
Christianity Etc › Re: Origin Of God by RedHotChic(op): 10:02pm On Jun 10, 2008
Good question.
-> Who created the Creator of the Creator
-> Who created the Creator of the Creator of the Creator
-> etc
Will it be more cormfortable to blame evolution for the presence of God today? Who knows whether God evolved from stones or thin air.

Who told u that people that do not believe in All'ah, jehova, zeues, buddah, shirk etc do not have peace of mind?

Christianity Etc › Re: Resurrection by RedHotChic(op): 9:57pm On Jun 10, 2008
Because Christ has been active in the world for the last 2000 years.

No other person has had this kind of influence.

2 billion Christians believe in Him.
1.5 billion M'uslims regard Him a great prophet.

over 1 billion Hindus, Buddhists, Confucianists, etc read His life and teachings.
Similar numbers adored Elvis Presley and Michael jackson worldwide.
Romance › Re: What Do Women Value Most In Men? by RedHotChic(f): 9:54pm On Jun 10, 2008
No woman will ever tell you that they want to be lied to.
Then, why are some men getting the impression that women want to be lied to? Men only lie because of their trifling ass and the annoying things about most of them is that they don't even know how to lie. They tell stupid lies.
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 9:52pm On Jun 10, 2008
By Sisterwoman,
I kept my exhusband's last name, only because it is the last name that my children have.
What will happen when you remarry?
Romance › Re: What Do Women Value Most In Men? by RedHotChic(f): 9:51pm On Jun 10, 2008
By isebio,
It is unethical to say most men lie. Men lying is because women force tham to lie. most women don't want to hear that a particular thing will not be possible. They always want positive answers otherwise they will see their man as a failure and will dump them thus increasing their number of exes.
Force them? I never knew women point guns in their men's heads and tell them to lie,
Romance › Re: What Do Women Value Most In Men? by RedHotChic(f): 9:48pm On Jun 10, 2008
By uch2nna,
Women give out the impression they like to be lied to all the time
Impression? You can't judge them unless they actually tell you they want to be lied to.

simple, take all the first letters of the surnames of all the husbands and form an acronym that will becaome her new surname
Why not take all the first letters of your wives surnames and form yourself a new surname, playa?

My sister,I say make you marry first. Grin
after pampering a man cooking and cleaning ,taking care of children, working and doing it all
Do you think I'll have the energy to do it again wih a brand new man?
Do you know the energy it takes to train and satisfy a Nigerian man? Grin
I said till death do us part so in the event of death (God forbid),I'll go back in the market
as for divorce,(God forbid again) I will find other hobbies besides chopping and serve my God.
If he likes let him run away with Genevieve Nnaji Cheesy
That's it!
I'm done with the institution!
So Nigerian men are like puppies that needs to be potty trained now? Yukkkk!!!
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 6:57pm On Jun 10, 2008
@Redhotchicfunmiosunamazonchic.

Why don't you give up on men? A personal suggestion from me. No man is good enough for you. Either they will cheat, disrespect you, run off with someone else in 2 weeks and move her into your matrimonial home yada yada yada.

There is always an element of men bashing in your posts. If you feel that strongly about our shenanigans, just give us space and be with women. Women are good and men are bad. That way you can't really complain abi?
You are a trip!!!!

I just wonder why the only place I see sexism against men is on Nairaland Huh
What is sexist about a woman taking care of her business. Do we need to take permission from men again to do that?
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 5:48pm On Jun 10, 2008
No, I wnt tell me husband to go to hell o. , .but my kids will keep their father's name.
I'm assuming you are saying that you wont tell your new husband to go to hell with his last name, abi? wouldn't that contradict your last statement that your kids must have the same last name with you b/c the 2 kids from your first husband will not assume your new husbands last name.
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 5:36pm On Jun 10, 2008
that's why some of went into marriage with a motto
"till death do us part"
and are willing to do whatever it takes.
I don't want complications and what if's
I have one marriage and one marriage only and will not go throught it again.
One chance at marriage and that's it by God's grace no divorce and in the event it ever happens (God forbid)
No remariage.
that's my stand
there'll be nood need to remarry ,what for?
so the issue of changing and rechanging names won't even come to play
You are saying that if your husband suddenly runs away with a younger mrs or dies(God forbid), you'll be thrown into an eternal misery and loneliness because of his misdeeds? It takes two to make marriage work and one defaulting partner can shatter it. Men do not make this vow you are making now, the moment you are out of the way, they'll move their mistress inside the house in two weeks.
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 5:20pm On Jun 10, 2008
I was thinking you'd have them take your own father's name instead! Sad

Since you all are keeping your fathers' names, you might as well extend same to your children!!
I wouldn't do that. The kids can keep their fathers identity, it's their right and am not in the position to deny them that.

who says there's a high divorce rate in Nigeria
are we talking of nollywood actresses or regular folks?
that's no where the case in my neck of the woods
Well, divorce rate is going high in Nigeria. It's even higher among Nigerians living in the US.
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 5:18pm On Jun 10, 2008
seriously, yes. . . my kids must have same name as me.
I dnt want anyone asking me if I adopted them or what not
apart from that, why would I want our names to be different?
Since you are an advocate of keeping ex's last name. what if you had two kids with your exhusband, get divorced and remarry again. Will you tell your new husband to go to hell with his last name because your children must have the same last name with you? what if you have a new child with the new husband? The world is not just black and white?
Romance › Re: Divorce And Surname by RedHotChic(op): 5:07pm On Jun 10, 2008
@REDHOTChika

no, I'd rather keep my husband's name. . . even after the divorce.
because if I change it, I gotta think of our children. . .
Must you have the same last name with your kids? They can keep their fathers last name.
Christianity Etc › Re: Resurrection by RedHotChic(op): 5:04pm On Jun 10, 2008
This STORY was fabricated 2,400 years Before Christ.
The RCC had/has nothing to do with that story.
What proof do you have that the story was fabricated? What if some atheist claim that the resurrection of Christ was a mere fabrication 2000 years ago?

thats exactly the point: your cellphone is not a weapon.

you don't need special licence to have a cell phone as compare to weapon; so at what point those it becomes a crime for which owner is liable?
No, your cellphone is a weapon. You can hit somebody on the head with it continuously till he/she is dead. The service providers keep call records and take your information before giving you the cell phone(for countries that have proper id) for a reason. You are liable for any misuse, terroristic messages etc as long as the phone is registered to you OR in Nigeria's case, they can track calls on the phone and zero in on you.

Lol, Cell phone is a weapon of mass destruction(for men anyway because that's how chics get them whenever they want to trifle)
