Sure, you can visit any land you are allowed to but when you are in rome, you behave as the romans do and that applies to date, no matter where you find yourself. The man is accused of killing someone and in Saudi, death is penalty if found guilty. Do you expect the Saudi's to change their law cause a Nigerian is involved??hhhmmmm, I still say instead of taking your anger out on Saudi Arabia, you spend that energy trying to wake up your government to do something before it is too late for the man. We can go around and around in circles on this or we can choose to put a stop to this once and for all by waking the government up to act on behalf of it's citizens around the world
Helllo, am not asking them to change nothing but that doesn't mean the accused should be denied of the basic fundamental human rights. He was cuckolded into the death sentence without following the due process of law. Even terrorists are tried and defended accordingly in America much as they may hate to do so. Our govt is lame, is it the Ojo maduwke that claimed that no Nigerian was killed in RSA that will come up and plead his cause? If you think the govt is lame and you wish to help the boy, why not use your good offices to revitalize and regurgitate our govt to do something for him fast or are we denying him help because he's not a northerner?
Christianity Etc › Re: Whats So Bad About Celestial Church Of Christ by RedHotChic(f): 6:09pm On Jun 15, 2008
Celestial church is gross. They need to accept Christ and stop practicing voodoo and witchcraft in the name of Christ. No wonder the bar beach is their favorite domain for burying live rams for rituals.
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Point Of Tithes? by RedHotChic(f): 6:05pm On Jun 15, 2008
Tithing s required of christians to run the affairs of the church. I dont know why people have a problem with it when it's not even levied to church members. it's not by force but ask yourself, what is so difficult about giving God 10% of your income when he made it possible for you to earn them in the first place?

It is always easy to fault others when we attach ourselves to situations that we have little knowledge of. No one here knows if this man is guilty or not but most everyone on the planet knows that Saudi Arabia has some of the harshest laws on the planet. The man made his way there and unfortunately for him, he if from a country that cares little for it's own people and may actually sit back and watch while one of their own get's executed while the presidents sits back home touting how he is proud of his "rule of law". If you want to blame anyone, then instead of trying to fault the Saudi's fo
A man's life is in serious danger and you are talking about spurring our redundant govt. It's the amnesty international that is pleading his cause, why didnt they wait for ojo madukwe to plead for him? There are so many unfortunate incidents here but it's cold to let him waste because Yaradua and ojo are nonchalant about his situation. If this boy is related to any of us, we'll surely be singing another song. I still maintain that anybody has a right to visit wherever he/she wants. We don't know what took him there, may be hardship, may be that's the only place he has a relation in the world, may be he was taken there as a toddler etc. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"_ M L King jnr.

my last doctor did not take the long.

and the way he was rubbing and squeezing it, lady, even an idiot would know he's up to sth. . .
That proves nothing still. He may have squeezed hard to make sure you don't have the tiniest of them cancer balls. It's up to the mind. that dude may be squeezing up to 20 boobs a day. Again, why do women complain so much but they themselves are the ones that always choose male doctors as their primary physicians?

It's always easy to flip our tongues whenever somebody that is not related to us is in grave danger. Whether you know a country's law or not, every human being on earth is entitled to justice and that justice comes only through a good defense. I am not pro or anti Olufemi, I don't know whether he committed the crime or not, I'm not even asking them to tamper justice with mercy, all i ask for is for a good defense that will assure justice is served.

How can you decipher the liar here if jungle justice was delivered in his case?
Romance › Do You Feel Yukky? by RedHotChic(op): 10:36pm On Jun 14, 2008
Do you feel uncomfortable exposing your body to any physician that is of the opposite sex? A girl once complained to me that her gynecologist overstayed in her honey pot during physical examination and she suspects he was getting his groove while doing his work. How uncormfy do you feel when you are being examined or a female nurse shaving your pubic hairs before a surgery(in the case of guys)?
Romance › Re: Love And Profession? by RedHotChic(op): 10:32pm On Jun 14, 2008
@ Redhotchic,
I don't hate doctors, its just that i wouldn't like to spend the rest of my life with one,i think most of them are flirts, knows a lot about the women biological life which they tend to use against them and some of them who have been involved with issues of abortions and stuffs tend to look down on you and compare to you to those girls.
Some them have little or no respect for you and they find it kind of hard to trust ladies.
That's an unfair generalization. It's not every male doctor that flirts and seeing the female body always means nothing because they are in the professional mood while doing it. It's like saying that female doctors or nurses are to be avoided by men because they see a man's weenie 24/7.

HOLD ON, DID THIS INNOVATION NOT COME ABOUT IN THE WEST AS A RESULT OF LACK OF BURIAL SPACES. ITS A HORRIBLE IDEA YEAH. DONT LIKE THE IDEA OF ALL THOSE WORMS AND BLOW FLIES EATING ME. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND ITS AN OBVIOUS INNOVATION LIKE SOME OTHER THINGS IN CHRISTIANITY AND I WOULD INDEED LIKE TO HAVE MY LITTLE PLOT WHERE I CAN ROT.
Yeah, it's actually cheaper to cremate. It costs about $200 here in the US but burial can cost between $1000-$10000 depending on the city and place.
Romance › Re: Love And Profession? by RedHotChic(op): 8:28am On Jun 14, 2008
During and after colonialism Nigerians regarded the white man's professions as the only legitimate means of becoming successful in life. You go to school, study hard, graduate, get a job and you are destined to be successful. That was the spin! Parents looked down on suitors that were not in the white man's profesional line. Gradually, the farmlands were abandoned because the farmer's children are now doctors and accountants in the city. Gradually the foundries were abandoned because the ironsmith's children are now professors in the universities. Gradually the cotton mills are abandoned because the tailor's children are now nurses and lawyers in the city. Gradually the lawyers and the accountants and the doctors and the nurses and the professors are inter-marrying within the professional fields.
The tailor's son is not befitting to marry the lawyer's daughter. The cocoa farmer's daughter is not befitting for the accountant's son. We locked the wealth into the professional circle and refused to distribute wealth through the social strata. So now the wealth in the professional circle has not been recycled and it has dried up. The farmland is wasted. The mills are abandoned. The professional sons and daughters had no skill to survive in their own land, they have not been trained how to survive on one's physical labour, they are only skilled in mental labour. So they took off and went to Europe and America where there are other professionals like them. There they are awakened to see that an American lawyer is married to a truck driver. That an Italian banker is married to a seamstress. That an English doctor is married to a farmer. What a world we Nigerians are in! We have lost it and we don't even know how to put the brakes on and recover from our losses.
Great write up and a must read. Keep it up.

Crime › Re: Olufemi, A Nigerian, To Be Executed In Saudi Arabia by RedHotChic(op): 9:58pm On Jun 13, 2008
Olufemi, a Nigerian national, was reportedly sentenced to death at a closed trial in May 2005.

The human rights body said that Olufemi was one of the 13 Nigerian men arrested in September 2002 in connection with the murder.

The 12 others were however lucky as they were only sentenced to prison terms and corporal punishment.

Amnesty International said that which was during his trial, Olufemi had no access to legal representation or consular assistance, and was reported to have had no adequate translation of his trial conducted in Arabic.

In Saudi Arabia, defendants are rarely allowed formal representation by a lawyer, and in many cases, are not informed of the progress of legal proceedings against them.

They may be convicted solely on the basis of confessions obtained under duress or deception.
The bolded texts above should confirm why people are suspecting a foul play here.
1. Why did they exonerate the 12 others from the death penalty?
2. The most important issue here is why he had no legal representation that understands arabic?
Crime › Re: Olufemi, A Nigerian, To Be Executed In Saudi Arabia by RedHotChic(op): 8:35pm On Jun 13, 2008
we don't know either that is why you should avoid the capital punishment at all cost because of the possibility of human errors - partial judgement, corrupt evidence, manipulated jury and other factors. the death penalty gives no chance of correction and i sure wouldnt want to see an innocent soul killed.
Thank you.
