Politics / Re: The Delta Dream by RedHotChic(f): 7:41am On Dec 03, 2008 |
@Post, Same the said about Obama. You never can tell whats gonna happen in the next 30 years. Thats a lie. Ijaw is pretty popular for sure. You can see the reason they prefer to go for Delta State. They prefer to use Delta because they see themselves as Delta indigenes first before their tribe. |
Politics / The Delta Dream by RedHotChic(f): 6:44am On Dec 03, 2008 |
Delta state has itsekiris, Urhobos, Igbos, Ijaws etc in large groups but one thing I've noticed about them is that they tell you they are from Delta and they will only tell you their tribe when you seek further information. Americans do the same. They tell you I'm from Illinois, i'm from Oklahoma but my parents are from India or even Ney York. They represent their city and town before their ethnicity. An attitude like that will reduce ethnic tension by almost half in Nigeria. I dream of the day when an igbo man born in Sokoto will tell you he is from sokoto without going further to explain his heritage. Like Deltans do, a yoruba man born and raised in umuahia will tell you he is from Abia before explaining his ethnic heritage. A day when every Nigerian shall have an equal opportunity in whatever state they were born irrespective of ethnic or racial origin. A day when a Fulani man will successfully run and become the governor of Osun State without ethnic rancor. I have that dream. How and when can we achieve that? when shall we adopt the Delta example?. If Deltans can do it, why cant we all? |

This is the problem with your brain, you are so quick to occlude to whatever does not suit your infantile reasoning. How did you come about the statement in bold above? From interacting with them. How will you know this when all you care for in their midst is their kitten? You have just said the word ''global'' so I am definitely sure, it is affecting your cow milking business in the US. The only female aboki of Nebraska. Bloody southerner? my dagger will soon puncture you |

The life and principle of grace taught in this passage (Matthew 5) is not possible for everyone except those who have received Christ and power to live like children of God.Infact its normal that a graceless person should find this command impossible and ridiculous. @image123, Will you turn the other cheek based on the fact that you have received this supernatural powers from christ? |

Redhotchic, you and Nuzo are saying the same thing. . . just incase you're trying to ''challenge'' his post. There is a difference between few assailants unleashing terror and a multitude of ignorant men unleashing the same terror. The Ekiti terrorists did theirs for reasons best known to them and they know it's not right but the jihadists actually think that what they did is right and are ready to do it again over and over again. |

Forgive my ass. . . . . That girl is a formal patient for psychological analysis. Did you consider the fact that the girl behaves that way because of the environment she grew up? . Many girls in the US with Nigerian parents tend to behave that way especially if the parents alienated them from Africans while growing up. I do not even believe your write-up here. Just another of your usual otiose self with nothing to do, thinking of such absurdities.Believe what you like. mack daddy. How is the global economic crunch affecting your business? |

The girl is stupid, Abiodun is daft. Why is abiodun daft?. the fancy degree came in because some people think she is in love with him because of his worth but if not that, she wouldn't deal with any Nigerian because she consider them to be 2nd class black people even though her parents are one. If abiodun is in love and wants to forgive her for being ignorant, what is wrong in that? |
Politics / Re: Another Jos In Ekiti As Five Children Killed by RedHotChic(f): 10:18pm On Dec 02, 2008 |
Be it in maiduguri, Aba ngwa or Ikpetu-nle; murder is murder and should be punishable. The only difference is that in Ekiti, it was carried out by unknown beasts, while the ones in the north are carried out by known jihadists that are allowed to walk free only to come back to slash more throats after some months.there is a very big difference here. Gunmen unleashed terror on a particular family they knew is totally different from a group rushing to agboju market for example with machetes and start butchering people randomly. What happened in Ekiti can happen in China, Russia, US etc . The target could be their dad, who had an initial whatever with them but Kayode and co were massacred over something very unrelated to them. You and I know that a 1 hr action from Jihadists can leave 200 dead and no gunman or assassin can achieve that. The smaller the number of insane people in our society, the better. Meanwhile, RIP to these lovely kids and may their guardians have the fortitude to bear the loss. |
Romance / I Love Abiodun by RedHotChic(f): 9:54pm On Dec 02, 2008 |
A Nigerian girl here who loves to distant herself from Nigerians because she was born here and say lots of nasty things about Nigerians is in love with Abiodun, a Nigerian with a fancy degree. In her words: "Abiodun is just cool and different". She met Abiodun in church because her parents encouraged her to associate with nigerians and the least she can do is worship with them because she may need them someday especially in marital issues. She hooked up with Abiodun even after Abiodun's friends told them how the girl feels about Nigerians as third class citizens. Abiodun regretted her comments, claims she apologized to him for making them and he feels she should get some 2nd chance. Marriage is set for Feb after only 4 months of courtship and Abiodun's parents are not happy about the sudden arrangement. Question: The economy is hard now, this girl will not be making above $45K and her job is on the line but Abiodun is tight with a fancy medical degree. Do you think that a girl that despised Nigerians so much will turn around suddenly to love the very Nigerian with a thick accent she hates so much? If you are a guy, will you continue with the wedding after hearing her tell tales on Nigerians? |

and what "solution" have you come up with beyond roflmao? Why not educate them to eschew violence through their own imams?. If the imams get involved, be rest assured that 90% of the almajiris will have a rethink in the face of violence. But if you only have love for your own race Then you only leave space to discriminate And to discriminate only generates hate And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah Madness is what you demonstrate And that's exactly how anger works and operates Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight Take control of your mind and meditate B.E.P |

For me I believe 'Turning the Other Cheek' is a figurative phrase especially in d context of d present world. I believe what this means is that we should try not to ALWAYS pay back evil for evil IF AND ONLY IF u as an individual and the society as whole can handle it. Else why would I watch someone coming after me with a weapon and I do nothing? Because an eye for an eye will make the whole world go blind. |
