Politics / Re: Nigeria Earned Over 500Trillion Naira From Oil/Gas From 2001 Till 2022 by redPUSSY(f): 6:52pm On Nov 22, 2022
redPUSSY:
Nigeria earned 741.48 billion dollars from oil and gas between 1999 and 2000, the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) declared in Abuja on Tuesday.

Its Executive Secretary, Dr Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, made the declaration at a stakeholders’ engagement forum on the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

He said NEITI had so far conducted and published 25 cycles of audit reports in the oil and gas sector, covering the period 1999-2020.

He said that from the reports, a total of 741.48 billion dollars had accrued to the Nigerian government from the oil and gas sector during the period.

“The 2021 oil and gas sector audit is currently ongoing and will soon be released,” he said.

Orji said NEITI was embarking on an expansion of its operations to support government’s revenue growth plan.

“This is guided by a five-year strategic plan (2022-2026) which will enable the agency to establish a presence and operate at sub-national levels to support government’s revenue growth plan and resources mobilisation,’’ he said.

He expressed joy that NEITI’s reports had led to the recovery of several billions of dollars by government from companies operating in the sector.

He said recommendations made by NEITI in its reports also triggered huge reforms in the sector.

He assured that NEITI would provide the information and data in the oil and gas sector that would help the Presidential Steering Committee to effectively implement the PIA.

“As an agency charged with promoting transparency and accountability in the extractive sector, NEITI has responsibility to facilitate and strengthen participation by diverse stakeholders for a successful implementation of the PIA,’’ he said.

Orji emphasised the need for effective implementation of the PIA.

He noted that the PIA provided wider roles for NEITI in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, clearly spelling out the need for transparency and accountability.

“Therefore, the implementation of the Act and full operationalisation of its provisions are of great interest to NEITI and its stakeholders.

“NEITI has been working with relevant stakeholders and leveraging on our experience and exposure in the oil and gas sector to ensure that the implementation of the PIA delivers its objective and desired results,’’ Orji said.

Earlier, Chairman of NEITI’s Governing Board, Mr Olusegun Adekunle, said it resolved to prepare NEITI to deliver on Nigeria’s international obligation and meet Nigerians’ expectations on transparency and accountability.

Adekunle said the resolve was expected to position Nigeria to attract the much-needed Foreign Direct Investments in the oil and gas sector while supporting her revenue growth plan and resource mobilisation. (NAN)

We must get it right during next year's election..

Please before you cast your vote next year ask yourself this question...

Politics / 2023:Atiku Supported Terrorists Killing Our People,Mocked The Dead..Benue Youth by redPUSSY(f): 7:28am On Oct 28, 2022
The Benue Youth Forum, BYF, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of supporting terrorists who killed people in Benue State.

BYF said Atiku’s recent “careless and unfortunate” statement justifying herders attack in the state was a mockery of those killed.

The group berated Atiku over his recent comments accusing Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State of profiling Fulanis as bandits and terrorists and last week’s killing of over 40 people including two police officers in Gbeji, Ukum Local Government Area of the state.

Terrence Kuanum, the President of BYF, tagged Atiku’s comments as “another terrible unforced error.”

In a statement he issued on Thursday, Kuanum said: “That careless and callous comment coming from an individual who is parading himself as a “unifier” clearly shows where he stands on the incessant invasion of Benue communities and massacre of the people and the destruction of their property by well armed Fulani militiamen.

“We see that evil statement which came from the abundance of Atiku’s heart as a justification of the massacre in Benue state and a mockery of those who died in those attacks as well as a declaration of support for the marauding Fulani terrorists that carry those heinous activities.”

They urged Atiku to exhibit his acclaimed love for the Tiv people by condemning the act by the Fulani militia.

Stressing the need to strip Atiku of his Zege Mule U Tiv title, BYF charged the Tiv Traditional Council to monitor his future utterances regarding the state.

The group called on him to immediately apologize to people of the state over his comments regarding killings.

BYF charged the PDP presidential candidate to show sincere commitment to Benue people and show that he would condemn such act of terrorism if elected president

Villa12:
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW PETER OBI CABINET WHEN HE WAS THE GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE AND WHERE ARE THEY NOW POLITICALLY...

*LOOK AT TINUBU's CABINET AS GOVERNOR OF LAGOS STATE..

*LAI MOHAMMED* Chief of Staff from Kwara.

*YEMI OSINBANJO,* Attorney General from Ogun.

*WALE EDUN*,Finance Commissioner from Ogun.

*DELE ALAKE* Commissioner for Information from Ekiti

*RAUF AREGBESOLA* Commissioner for Works from Osun State.

*BEN AKABUEZE* Commissioner for Budget and Planning from Anambra State.

*FEMI LANLEHIN, SA* from Oyo State.

*AUTHUR WORREY* Commissioner for Lands from Delta State.

*HON. JAMES ABIODUN FALAKE*, third term Federal House of Representatives member, Representing Ikeja Federal Constituency - From Kogi State.

To name a few.

*For the eight years that he ruled Lagos*
He hired several guys to work with him. Apart from using them to work in his government, he also groomed them politically.

*Twelve years down the line* , see where those Tinubu guys are today -

1. PROF YEMI OSINBANJO, SAN was Tinubu's Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
He is today, Nigeria's Vice President.

2. *RAUF AREGBESOLA* was Tinubu's Commissioner for Works. Today he is a Minister after serving 8 years as Governor of Osun State.

3. *"BABATUNDE RAJI FASHIOLA SAN* was Tinubu's Chief of Staff. Today he is a Minister of works after 8 years as governor of Lagos State.

4. *ALHAJI LAI MOHAMMED* was Tinubu's first Chief of Staff and Commissioner. Today, he is a Minister of Information.

5. *BABATUNDE FOWLER* was appointed by Tinubu as Chairman of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service. He was the immediate past Federal Inland Revenue Service Executive Chairman in our country.

7. *SUNDAY DARE,* was SA/ COS to Tinubu, today he is a Minister for sports.

8. *BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU* was Tinubu's Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, he is now Governor of Lagos State.

*At the National Assembly* there are countless "Tinubu boys" who have occupied and are still occupying seats till today including N0 4 citizen of Nigeria, *Speaker, House of Reps*

Since 1999, the Tinubu camp has produced almost 98% of the members of the National Assembly from Lagos State. Forget politics, this man is a political enigma. Rewind to 1999, I am sure most of us have forgotten the names of the People who were elected Governors when he was elected governor too, some of them have gone into political extinction or gasping for breath politically.

Indeed, most of them are no longer relevant today.

Tinubu has not only managed to remain extremely relevant, he has continued to control Lagos politics 100%. Not only that, he manages to carry his boys along and today they occupy critical positions in our national life.

Take it or leave it, Tinubu is today, Nigeria's most powerful politician. It didn't just happen by chance. He worked very hard for it. Very very hard. The hallmark of a true and Born leader is not just the ability to rule well but also the ability to nurture and groom associates.

Tinubu is not like some other politicians in Nigeria, He is a goal getter.....

There is nothing he touches that doesn't excel.

- *NADECO*, He fought the Military to a Standstill.

- *AD excelled,*

- *ACN excelled* and

- *APC is excelling.....*

- *TVC* is one of the top TV stations in Nigeria.

*The Nation* is one of the leading newspapers in Nigeria, thereby creating Employment to many people.

- *He makes people,*

- *He follows up on them.*

- *He forgives routinely,*

- *He fights to teach not to kill*

- *He is a Pillar of Democracy,*

- *Mentor of great men*

*Please,Tell me* or Name a Politician that has this Records since more than 3 Decades ago.

*J-A-G-A-B-A-N is a great man politically...... is A JAGABAN OF NIGERIA

Some of you are very very senseles...

What has Tinubu done for lagosians?... I meant the masses... This your junk you posted has proved our point that Tinubu's presidency will only benefit his cronies and not the masses...
