Look at the Nollywood they are dragging. They purposedly left out Yoruba films that showcase head hunting and rituals involving human parts to drag Kanayo O Kanayo and Igbo Nollywood that only shows spiritual stuffs if they act that kind of movie.

They know what they are doing and are not ashamed to keep on doing it but our people want to be seen as "detribalized" and "Reasonable". Whatever they mean by those two.

People would rather damn the consequences as long as the movies protrays the shortest route to making money is through ritualism. They would be fascinated by the thrill on the face of their celebrity actor throwing money up the air than any punishment that may come after.

Kanayo O Kanayo and Asaba Nollywood movies should share a part of the blame. They glorify blood money and ritual killing as a means to high social status. The plot of the movies is mostly about a village poor man who after being mocked and scorned by family and friends, decides to join a cult of wealthy men with the demand that he donates either his beloved mother or wife in exchange for riches.

From when I was a kid in the eighties, I started hearing about ritual killing in Nigeria. Then, there was no Nollywood. Hunger and poverty make people to do crime. No, be Nollywood cause am. Nollywood is only showing what happens in society. Nigerians are wallowing in extreme poverty. A hungry man is an angry man.

Fix the country and crime will go away. Don’t blame Nollywood.

Five Soldiers Killed In Auto Crash While Answering Distress Call To Repel Alleged Attack By IPOB’s Eastern Security Network

Five soldiers died on Tuesday while others were critically injured after a MRAP (mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle) had an accident in Anambra State.

SaharaReporters gathered that the soldiers from the 302 Artillery Regiment, General Support, Onitsha were on their way to Ihiala to join with their colleagues at a military checkpoint after receiving information that operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) were planning to attack the checkpoint.

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had in December 2020 launched ESN to protect the people of the South-East region from terrorists and bandits allegedly trooping in from the North.

The IPOB leader described the outfit as a replica of the Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Amotekun, earlier launched by South-West governors to curb insecurity in their region.

"The sole aim and objective of this newly formed security outfit known as Eastern Security Network are to halt every criminal activity and the terrorist attack on Biafraland," Kanu had said.

"This outfit, which is a vigilante group like the Amotekun in the South-West and the Miyetti Allah security outfit, will ensure the safety of our forests and farmland, which terrorists have converted into slaughter grounds and raping fields."

Activist Deji Adeyanju of the Concerned Nigerians group says Nigerians are now wiser than 2015 and won’t be deceived into voting in politicians who suddenly start dressing like youths ahead of the 2023 elections.

The activist also advised All Progressives Congress leader, Bola Tinubu, to jettison his 2023 presidential bid and retire to enjoy his “bullion vans”.

Tinubu, 69, who recently declared his intention to run for President has been seen of recent clad in sneakers and pants amid controversies around his physical fitness for the much-exalted office.

But Adeyanju, in a chat with The PUNCH on Monday, said ‘ancestors’ dressing like youths was not a new strategy in the political space, adding that Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) was also packaged to win the hearts of Nigerians in 2015.

The activist said, “Nigerians have seen this strategy before, how they wore Buhari suit in 2015 so that he can win election. To date, Buhari has not worn a suit, he has gone back to what he is known for.

“Nigerians are tired of the Squid games that the politicians and the actors start acting. Very soon, they will come out and start eating corn, eating with the locals to deceive the electorate.

“Nigerians have had their fair share of deceivers seeking to rule us. The 2015 lesson is a very bitter one. Bread used to be N250 under corruption, under change, it is about N750 to N800, just a loaf of bread.

“All these packaging and razzmatazz doesn’t lead anywhere progressive for the country. Nigerians have had enough of Telemundo politicians who just want to deceive people and get access to the Villa.

“Tinubu is one of the ancestors in this country who should be in their retirement homes, enjoying their bullion vans. These old men should stop disturbing the peace of Nigerians and allow a new set of leaders to emerge.”
