Culture › Ncha-ude-Black Soap by redsun(op): 7:27pm On May 30, 2009
Who taught the old, uneducated, poor and agile african village woman how to scientifically make Ncha-ude(balck soap) with some crude implements?

In most cases,it is their main source of livelihood, making and selling black soap.Made from heated palm kernels.

Who said african woman is stupid?
Culture › Re: Superstitious Ban Of Palm Fruits By Oba by redsun(m): 7:09pm On May 30, 2009
Everything about palm tree, from the palm fronds,to the fibers,to the fruits,to kernel,to the shell and the finally to shaft is money and vital.

He should be talking about how to maximize the potentials of palm tress for all to benefit, not static traditions

Yes,there should be some kind of controls but not because the gods are angry but because we want to innovate,we make the rules and draw the lines,it our natural endowment to control our spiritual and physical world. We are all that exist, our imaginations.

Reckless accidents happen because the roads are bad,the vehicles are bleeped up,,over loaded and unmaintained, drivers are in most cases drunk and stupid,no rules.

Even in england where there are traffic rules, people die from road accidents almost every day, talk less of a concrete jungle like nigeria.

The oba is suppose to be educated,he should know better, anyway,it is some kind of control over the people, like a spell.

I am more or less a traditionalist, but i find this retrogressive.Benin city is a state capital not a village. The oba should wise up to the time.

Maybe his jujuman or pastor told him not to use presidential jet that day in fear of being blown away. The fact that they are guilty individuals puts them in constant state of fear.

The guilty are afraid.

Animals in human skin, not even rightly brought up children can be so daft. Most nigerian elites have the mental state of medically slow children,no disrespect for the unfortunate children.

Afraid of their own shadows. They are the jesus, the buddas, the mohamads, the prohets, the kings, the angels, whatever, but they are still seeking in the wrong directions.

I wish they see the other side of the coin.
Christianity Etc › Fear by redsun(op): 7:15pm On May 29, 2009
There is always a fear. What are U afraid of?People are always afraid of different things, depending on their horizon, the state of mind, the more u get, the more u want.

The state of fearlessness is supreme,it is the state of absolute freedom and dispositions.

What are u in bondage of?Is it ignorance, greed, selfishness, ego, pride, poverty, boredom?name it

Contentedness is a virtue.

What is happening in niger delta is a nigerian probem, whether you are form the south, north, west or east,as long as you are part of the masses, you are part of the oppressed, everybody feels the pinch, unless of course you are a politician or in one way or the other related to one,or you are a corrupt official,ie,the police, army, customs, etc,or you are a rogue business person.

You have to be a crooked person to align with an oppressive government that is destroying her people, korokoro.
