I blame the PARENTS of these Igbo guys that go around the world trafficking drugs. Igbo parents in general have their morals in the gutter. Highly materialistic, they don't CARE how their offspring make money. JUST MAKE IT. That's their philosophy. If you don't, they will start comparing you to this and that one of your mates that has built 3 mansions. Whether the person was a drug trafficker or an armed robber, none of their business. You're not rich like them, so you are a failure. That is Igbo parents' philosophy, especially the poorly educated ones. With that sort of crazy pressure to be VERY RICH, why would there not be an explosion of drug trafficking in the East? |
Maazieze:Have you actually watched the video? It is far more than this rubbish you typed. |
Rossikk:This is amazing. |
sucemt:He was disappointed that a black guy invented the cellphone, so he ran to drag out a white man from 1800 because that makes him feel better. He might even stop using his cellphone now since a black man invented it. |
OKUCHI11:Stop being stupid. There are billions of people out there in the world who hate black people simply because they are black. No other reason. Go and learn what racism means because you have no clue. This is pure racism and has nothing to do with “what black people did to themselves”. Are Europeans not slaughtering themselves as we speak in Ukraine and Russia? Did they not slaughter over 100 million of themselves in two European tribal wars last century which they falsely termed ‘world wars’? Did Hitler not line up 6 million fellow whites and force them into gas chambers? Did Stalin not slaughter 10 million fellow Russians? Does it occur to you when you see a white person to PISS ON THEM because of these atrocities they commit against themselves? No. So stop justifying such racist, demonic dehumanisation of Africans. |
Bringbackmandat:Stop talking rubbish. What infrastructure do you think you had in the 1960s? You think the British colonialists built infrastructure? Our FIRST power plant was KAINJI dam, commissioned in 1964. Do you know almost everyone was illiterate in the 1960s? Bicycle was the middle class mode of transportation in the 60s. A footpath led to your village back then, not a motorable road. Malnutrition was rife as well. Most of you could not survive in 1960s Nigeria. |
ValarDoharis:There are 6,000 languages on Earth. Half of them are in Africa. We have no choice but to live in multi ethnic nations. The 54 African nations are regarded as small and unviable apart from a few countries. How much more when they are broken up into 3,000 countries! |
opamoses1:So who did they say is responsible? Those are clearly Europeans. |
jaeyking:No. We’re not too busy to overlook this demonic racial insult. |
What will somebody not see in this world? They should send that picture to the francophone countries and air it on their TV channels daily for one month, so that the people will see the urgency of throwing EVERYTHING French, including the rotten French language they speak, into the stinking dustbin of history where they belong, and kick every last one of them out of their countries. |
sucemt:We have numerous inventions in Nigeria, and many sit in research institutes and universities as we speak, and they are patented. It is the mass production part that you could be right about. But I reckon private sector capital is insufficient as of now to leverage such innovations. This could change in the future with continued economic expansion. |
Astar007:Blacks said the same about oyibo when Putin woke up one day and began raining bombs on his next door neighbour, slaughtering thousands of his oyibo brothers. |
tollyboy5:Really? Cars were built on the technology of mining, iron smelting and mathematics, which were African inventions, so Africans deserve the credit for cars, aircraft, and every metallic invention. While you are at it, Africans invented writing, so everything written today, from Shakespeare to physics textbooks, is an African achievement. If you require evidence of these, and other pivotal ancient African inventions, I’ll gladly post them. |
tollyboy5:Garbage. That’s like saying the person who invented the canoe takes all the credit for sea vessels and submarines in operation today. |
tollyboy5:Mobile phone in 1867? Forum of illiterates. |
MrEverest:Very good news. ANY GOVERNOR THAT DARES TO BUILD A ROAD TODAY WITHOUT COVERING THE GUTTER AND BUILDING SIDEWALKS FOR PEDESTRIANS ALONG THAT ROAD, MUST BE STONED TO DEATH, TOGETHER WITH THE CONTRACTORS. |
Jideji:Because the racist western media who control the news, suppress this news, because he is a black man. They want you to keep believing the lie that white people invented everything you see around you. |
nairalanda1:Oh please forget this nonsense. Any person who storms elected civilian leaders’ houses to shoot them is a SICK, EVIL, DEMENTED BEAST AND PSYCHOPATH. These bastards started all the problems we have today in Nigeria. The reason they shot them instead of arresting and trying them in court was because they had no evidence of all the corruption they were claiming was taking place. It was just narcissistic Igbos unable to accept non Igbo leaders at the helm. Simple and short. Your so called patriot Nzeogwu did not see any corrupt IGBO leaders worth shooting since Igbo leaders were all angels. Only Yoruba and Hausa leaders were corrupt. Abeg make we hear something. |
XAUBulls:It is time for them to start getting picked up and questioned for these remarks, or they shut down Nairaland. This cannot continue. |
richie240:EXACTLY. It’s these hateful, narcissistic, fascist Igbos behind these leaders that turn off other Nigerians. Many non Igbos were going to vote for Obi, but their vicious attacks on Tinubu, calling him all sorts of names simply for contesting the election turned of millions of people. |
Factoryfitted:Animal. When he was speaking up for Igbos in the past, you people praised him. Now he criticised you, and all of a sudden he is “a demagogue and featherweight only given a Nobel prize in order to be used.” I mean, you people are WORTHLESS. You are SCUM. Collective narcissists. |
A black son of Africa invented the MOBILE PHONE all of you use today, while assuming it was a white man who invented it. The mobile phone is just ONE of numerous inventions by blacks, such as refrigerators, light bulbs, blood banks, flushing toilets, touch-tone telephones, automatic gear shifts, traffic lights, and many others, falsely attributed to white people. Meet the Black Inventor Who Created the First Digital Cell Phone JESSE EUGENE RUSSEL https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c5/1d/2c/c51d2ca20869b54720a223a0a047b98e.jpg Many people attribute the invention of the smartphone to Europeans, but in fact, the first digital cell phone was invented by an African American man named Jesse Eugene Russell. Russell was born on April 26, 1948, in Nashville, Tennessee. His family lived in a very poor and socially deprived part of Nashville. Fortunately, he got the opportunity to attend a summer education program at Fisk University and he did exceptional. Then, he moved on to study electrical engineering at Tennesse State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). In 1973, Russell went further in his academic achievements to obtain a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Standford University. While Russell was working as an engineer at AT&T-Bell Laboratories in 1988, he created the concept for the wireless digital phone and communication. At the time, mobile devices were mainly used in vehicles, so Russell designed a cell phone that could transmit signals between handsets and cell phone towers. Doing so would make mobile phones more handy and also more affordable. In a statement, Russell once said, "Most of the time people are not in their cars. I said, 'Well that seems like an easy problem to solve, right? Why don't we just take the phones out of the car and put them on the people.'" Russell is responsible for other innovations in the field of wireless communications systems. He also created a company based in New Jersey called incNETWORKS Inc, a broadband wireless communication system that focuses on 4G broadband wireless communications technologies, networks and services. https://www.blackhistory.com/2019/11/jesse-eugene-russell-black-inventor-who-created-digital-cell-phone.html#:~:text=Many%20people%20attribute%20the%20invention,socially%20deprived%20part%20of%20Nashville. |

chubinwa:Your hatred for Nigerians will consume you sooner than soonest. While Nigeria will continue to excel, you will continue to hate them till you go into extinction. You are worthless to every Nigerian, and invaders of their lands in your unwanted millions. You would surely starve in your millions if we decided to drive you all back to your wretched homeland you fled from. We want you GONE, but you insist on stealing our territory while you go, which is why you are stuck. You will never measure up to even struggling TRUE Nigerians as patriots, and they will lead us before any of you demonic entities do. Spit. |
foleskay:Sign MOU at G20 summit? Only on Nairaland can somebody write something so foolish. Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing on this forum. ![]() |
Nigeria in the next 5 years could be a very different place, positively, by the way I'm seeing this man operating. He knows his job. ![]() |
India’s $14-billion investment commitments to Nigeria: ‘Ready to give you the best returns,’ says President Bola Tinubu 07 Sep 2023 Sounak Mukhopadhyay Mint Media (India) In a significant stride towards economic cooperation, Nigeria has obtained investment commitments totalling nearly $14 billion from various Indian companies and the Indian government. The Nigerian President Bola Tinubu aims to spur development in key sectors like steel, petrochemicals, power generation, and defence through these partnerships. Indian heavyweights like Jindal Steel and Power have made significant investment commitments in Nigeria. The company plans to inject $3 billion into Nigeria's steel industry, diversifying the West African nation's reliance on oil production. Indorama Corp, another Indian firm, intends to pour an additional $8 billion into expanding its existing petrochemical facility in Nigeria. Skipperseil Ltd and Bharti Enterprises have each pledged to invest $1.6 billion in Nigeria over the next four years. The funds will be primarily channelled into constructing power generation plants to strengthen Nigeria's energy infrastructure. Bharti Enterprises will also contribute $700 million towards undisclosed projects in Nigeria. This deal is designed to bolster the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria, with the goal of achieving 40% self-sufficiency in the manufacturing and production of defence equipment within a three-year time frame. These commitments were formalised under the Nigeria-India presidential roundtable and conference, which aims to drive global capital into Nigerian infrastructure projects. President Tinubu, who is slated to attend the G20 summit in New Delhi later this week, hosted these talks. His attendance at the summit follows an invitation from India, the current holder of the rotating presidency of the G20 bloc. The West African country aims to focus on investment-led growth, moving away from borrowing to finance its infrastructure and job creation needs. "We are ready to give you the best returns for investment possible, there's nowhere else like our country," Reuters quoted Tinubu as stating. https://www.livemint.com/news/world/indias-14-billion-investment-commitments-to-nigeria-ready-to-give-you-the-best-returns-says-president-bola-tinubu-11694047488649.html |
Tinubu, once he returns home, should just focus on dealing with insecurity issues to make these things just go smoothly. We cannot afford to let insecurity block our road to advancement as a nation. If he has to triple the size of the police and army, do it! |
