Rossikk:Some other Mwaghavul names are Nanji, Yen, Ninan, Talang, Tarjeng, Tarweng etc. ![]() |
Majesty7:The king of Jos, His Royal Highness Gyang Buba is known as the 'Gbong Gwom of Jos'! According to wiki, ''Gyang Buba was born on October 10, 1951, in Madu Village of Du District, Jos South, Plateau State. He is the first son of Buba Dung Bot of the Lo Du, Lo-Wet family and Ngo Kaneng Buba, one among the ruling house of the kingdom.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Gyang_Buba I mean, these are names that sound Chinese/Korean/Thai etc. And see the dressing of their kings and nobles: Gbong Gwom of Jos (right) https://presentng.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FB_IMG_1602323031320.jpg Traditional Chinese Attire https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ea/81/78/ea8178e0abe7e97e2a8e8c835bb62195.jpg ![]() |
olisaEze:LOLZZ.. But why are they called 'Chongai'? It's as if people know their Asian connection. ![]() |
Tiv Cuisine. Their food even looks like Chinese! Just look at it! ![]() https://i.pinimg.com/736x/f5/f1/58/f5f1583fce16e5264c9f823761283e50.jpg https://netstorage-legit.akamaized.net/images/vllkyt5fpqoefubrv.jpg |
ThinkSmarter:No......The ancestors of these Middle Belt Nigerians must have migrated to Asia in very ancient times. It cannot just be coincidence that they have similar facial features and language. One thing you guys need to realise is that life began in Africa, and it was our ancestors who went out and populated the rest of the world. Scientists call it the Out of Africa Thesis. Africa is the Cradle of Civilisation. Our ancestors' skin colour changed over time in those places, maybe through outbreaks of albinism or DNA adaptation to new environments and climate systems. All those whites and Asians you see today are descendants of our ancient ancestors, even though most of them don't realise it. |
BeninRefugees:Who told you Dangote was going to sell ''cheap fuel to Nigeria"? Do you even understand basic economics? If Dangote DARED to sell fuel in Nigeria at less than world market prices, half the petrol would be smuggled out the country and sold for profits, leading to massive fuel queues at stations here! You guys should try and reason before posting nonsense. Dangote is not Father Christmas. It's a privately-owned business. When you set up YOUR own businesses, is it for charity purposes or to be Father Christmas? Is it not for profits? What you will not do, do not demand from others, you hear? Nonsense. The main advantage of Dangote Refinery is that it saves Nigeria from spending 11 billion dollars a year importing refined petroleum products. That means Nigeria will spend maybe 3 or 4 billion dollars paying for what it would normally pay 11 billion dollars plus a year to ship in! |
There is no way we will have all these new industrial assets springing up in the country, and you will tell me that Nigeria will not get better. Impossible. These things are heavy wealth generators in the long term. And they are in private sector hands meaning nothing like govt neglect, corruption, inefficiency, or any of that nonsense. Kudos to the industrialist that made this happen. More of that from others please. ![]() |
OP I think you may be right. This Tiv woman and many Tiv peope have that very slanting eye oriental look. I also read this quote from an Asian man in the comment section in that video you posted:@aloysiushettiarachchi4523 Hello, I have worked in Central Nigerian state called Benue State from 1975 to 86. The largest ethnic group of that state is Tiv (around 2.5 million). Their language and facial features are very much like Chinese. Their names, such as Hua, Chia, and Tse, also have similar meaning. They find it difficult to pronounce the letter R. So they mix up letters L and R, same like Chinese. They are supposed to have migrated from the central African region. https://eucarlwears.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/274369627_119599310635207_3150945390897977153_n-1-819x1024.jpg |
Islie:MUMU NIGERIAN MEDIA. INSTEAD OF SHOWING US A PICTURE OF THE HOTEL FROM THE OUTSIDE, SO WE KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LKE, THEY ARE SHOWING US THE PICTURE OF OFFICIALS STANDING IN A ROOM INSIDE IT. DUMBASS, THOUGHTLESS PEOPLE. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT STUPID PICTURE YOU POSTED? LOW IQ. |
NairalandForumo:They warred against you in 1967 because you annexed the Niger Delta and it’s oil and gas resources which belong to the entire country. If it was just your southeast landlocked “hole in a circle” seceding, they would have gladly wished you farewell. |
sukkot:Very good advice. I am surprised more people don’t do this instead of coming online to moan. All you need is an internet connection and an idea for a YouTube channel. |
Ebeano49:AND ALL THE POLITICIANS IN YOUR IGBO STATE ARE ANGELS, CORRECT? I NOTICE YOU IPOB ANIMALS NEVER MENTION YOUR CORRUPT IGBO STATE GOVERNORS AND LEADERS, WHO BUY MANSIONS ALL OVER AMERICA WITH YOUR STOLEN MONTHLY ALLOCATION FROM ABUJA. CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME IN YOUR EAST, WHICH TENS OF MILLIONS OF YOU HAVE FLED TO THE SAME GANDUJE’S NORTHERN REGION YOU ARE ATTACKING. NONSENSE. |
sslcrypt:SHUT UP, IDIOT. 25 Euros is a hefty sum even in Europe. You think you are the only person who knows Europe? Inferiority complex dunce. Without Nigeria educating your dumbass will you be able to type your insult against the country? Animal. In that Europe and even in Rome there are white men and women begging on the streets for even half a Euro, and many homeless beggars and pickpockets everywhere, so stop painting it to be what it is not. Slave mentality freak. |
Rickmann:That’s why I never take all this exchange rate stuff seriously. People converting their foreign income to naira and saying they are far better off there etc. It’s bullshiit. That 30k he spent on his meal can feed a small family for a month in Nigeria, pay their transport fares, and even pay school fees. |
firearcher:Well said. Don’t mind that self hater with his wretched inferiority complex. |
BreconHills:My friend go and study history and stop typing rubbish. South Africa started building her infrastructure from the mid 1800s, while Nigeria only started in 1960, after independence, since all the British did was loot. Our first power plant was Kainji dam commissioned in 1964. South Africa? Their first power plants were built in the 1880s. First universities, 1890s. Nigeria’s first university was completed in 1962. Dunno why I should be explaining this to people who are supposedly educated. The colonialists saw SA as THEIR country, so they reinvested export proceeds into the economy right from the start, unlike in other colonies where they simply built rudimentary infrastructure, just enough to facilitate their exploitation and looting. That’s why Nigeria was virtually a jungle in 1960, when SA was already a developed country. But Nigeria is catching up slowly. It will still be a few decades before she can be on the same level in terms of development, with SA. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:That $27 is worth 10 times its American value in Nigeria. With that money you can pay school fees and feed a small family for a month. In America it’s barely enough for a single day. |
Jessyjeff:They are too busy doing sit at home for Biafra, abusing Tinubu and calling Nigeria a zoo. So keep dreaming. |
mrvitalis:Shut up. Trump has been charged with over 90 criminal offences, and half of America still supports him and are prepared to vote him in TODAY as president. How much less your single unproven charge against Tinubu which US courts say they have no problem with, and yet we won’t hear word from you wretched Igbos? Abeg get lost. You care so much about drugs yet your Igbo people are the world’s Number 1 drug traffickers on Earth with no competitors. Disgusting, hypocritical, shameless, filthy people. |
Village okoro man right now:. “Nna mehn, Our superior white masters are singing Igbo Biafra songs. That means that God, since he is also white according to Lord Lugard, is about to actualise our new banana republic. Hope we can even convince those white men singing to come and rule us in Biafra so we can be like America, and maybe we can even turn white like them. Mama Ngozi, please go and bring that your bleaching cream and powder let me put on my face to prepare for ndi ocha coming to rule us in Biafra.” |
YouAreNobody:What? That we are a DEVELOPING COUNTRY like 80% of countries on Earth? EVERY MORO.N in any developing country, from Sri Lanka to Mauritania can wake up and start listing issues of the country that are not perfect, and shout ‘USELESS COUNTRY!’ at the end of the list. So the guy is just a loud mouthed pea brain with clearly no job, or he wouldn’t be carrying on like that. |
codemaniacs:This guy is a friggin idiot. The Europeans did not sail to West Africa? Because they could have simply traveled from Europe to Algeria and climbed on a donkey for a gruelling three weeks journey through the FCKING SAHARA DESERT to get to Nigeria? How did they conduct trade, or you don’t know they traded heavily with Benin, Oyo, Ashantis and other coastal West Africans? What an embarrassment of a person. Complete historical illiterate. I suppose the trans-Atlantic slave trade never happened either, since Europeans didn’t sail to West Africa. Please, what school did you attend? |
codemaniacs:Nobody said there were no doors in Africa, you loud cretin. I said it was customary in Nigeria to build houses without FRONT doors. Do you know what a FRONT door is? |
codemaniacs:You are obviously a school dropout to type this. No, you Ill-exposed dullard, the Guardian Newspaper UK editorial board does not indulge in publishing “fake drawing and fake story” to its millions of readers and shareholders across the world. It’s also tragic that you feel so inferior to the point that you regard any positive report from your history - even from foreigners - as ‘fake’. Hope you don’t pass your terrible inferiority complex to your kids. |
codemaniacs:This is a 19th century British colonial drawing claiming an execution in Benin City, and showing its houses with no front doors: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/7a/90/71/7a9071108f5bbacf4fb041af34927835.jpg As the UK Guardian Newspaper reports, ''When the Portuguese first “discovered” Benin City in 1485, they were stunned to find this vast kingdom made of hundreds of interlocked cities and villages in the middle of the African jungle. They called it the “Great City of Benin”.... Indeed, they classified Benin City as one of the most beautiful and best planned cities in the world. In 1691, the Portuguese ship captain Lourenco Pinto observed: “Great Benin, where the king resides, is larger than Lisbon; all the streets run straight and as far as the eye can see. The houses are large, especially that of the king, which is richly decorated and has fine columns. The city is wealthy and industrious. It is so well governed that theft is unknown and the people live in such security that they have no doors to their houses.” In contrast, London at the same time is described by Bruce Holsinger, professor of English at the University of Virginia, as being a city of “thievery, prostitution, murder, bribery and a thriving black market made the medieval city ripe for exploitation by those with a skill for the quick blade or picking a pocket”.'' https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2016/mar/18/story-of-cities-5-benin-city-edo-nigeria-mighty-medieval-capital-lost-without-trace |
ruggedtimi:Even today in some of the rural areas, you can leave your wares on the road or market as a seller and go home knowing that nobody will touch it. African culture was highly civilized before these whites invaded with their guns and bombs. |
spiSeyi:YOU'RE RIGHT. Imagine if FG announces than an NAF fighter jet has 'disappeared' in mid air, and that nobody knows where it is. Nigerians would have descended on the government, calling them all sorts of unprintable names. |
