PoliticsSuicide Bombing In Nigeria by Refugee1(op): 9:41am On Jun 17, 2011
Nigeria has graduated to the ranks of Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and others where suicide bombing is a recurring event. What is more interesting is that the nation marked this entry with a very high profile target, the Nigerian Police Headquarters. Now Nigeria is a terrorist country, or not. What do you think?
SportsRe: Who Or Whom Among The Nigerian Ex Players Do You Miss Most? by Refugee1: 11:17am On Jun 16, 2011
For the old schools, I give it to Teslim "Thunder" Balogun.

J.J Okocha lifted the beauty of Nigerian football during his days and up till no one has been able to recreate  and strengthen the national team midfield like him. Though he didn't win many awards like other players of his caliber, he is unarguably the best Nigeria has ever produced.
CultureRe: Igbo Royal Fathers Move To End Osu Cast System by Refugee1: 4:19pm On Jun 09, 2011
Is the Osu system still in existence. I thought the damn thing was done away with long ago. By the way, who is an Osu? If two people stand naked in front of a crowd, one an osu and the other not an one, is there any difference between them. Why do people still abide by useless laws and traditions. As for me, I don't recognize royalty. As a popular Igbo saying goes, everybody is King in his own house. Lest I forget, Colonel Ike Nwosu (child of an Osu) was a one time military administrator of Abia state. All the so-called royal fathers were obeying his commands. So damn the tradition.
Christianity EtcSpeaking In Tongues In Present Day Churches by Refugee1(op): 12:53pm On Jun 07, 2011
I become greatly confused when people start speaking in tongues in our churches these days. You go to an all-speaking English church and during prayer time some people start speaking in tongues and no one interpreting. I remember the disciples spoke in other tongues (languages) to spread the word of God to these people. A friend of mine said it is biblical to speak in tongue at least once a day and I asked him in which tongue - Yoruba, Idoma, Chinese or which. Which languages are the tongues that some of these churches speak?
Christianity EtcRe: Daddy Adeboye Is Innocent by Refugee1: 9:21am On Jun 07, 2011
Yeah the man of God is doing good for himself. If preachers are men of God, who are we, men of the devil? Can people please stop calling preachers men of God and call them simply preachers. You said God is using his name to heal people instead of him healing people in the name of God. Are you implying that the preacher is above God now? Maybe he now considering the amount of wealth he has accumulated. But doesn't the Bible tell us to forsake earthly things. Even Jesus the Christ had to borrow a donkey to ride into Jerusalem yet he was the greatest man that ever lived. Now our preachers need private jets to spread the word of God. Preachers my arse, they should be called swindlers. As for me, I don't go to church but if by accident I find myself inside a church, I pay 50 bucks for the chair I used and nothing more.
TravelRe: How Good Is Arik Airline? by Refugee1: 9:07am On Jun 03, 2011
Well they are relatively good except for delays without any apology. Sometime last year, we waited for approximately 6 hours for a flight from Lagos to Abuja. Somebody traveling by road could be nearing Abuja by this time. The best is Air Nigeria. They stick to schedule and try to placate passengers when necessary.
