They are aware that courts of coordinate jurisdiction have already decided on this same case and GEJ won. The courts held that laws can't take retroactive effects. GEJ left office after the law was made, therefore, it cannot affect. He went ahead and took GEJ to court as if the Judge doesn't have anything doing in the office. I pety these Judges, because they have many cases pending before them.

GEJ case is different from Aiyedatiwa. The former left office before the constitution was amended stopping people who took office twice from continuing in office . While the later came to the office after the constitution was amended. A good law does not take a retroactive effect in case of Jonathan. Aiyedatiwa has completed his former boss tenure and he will do 4 years and that is the end. He will do less than eight years.

If it was customary marriage (traditional wedding) the divorce case can be filed at a customary court of where he is staying. However, if the marriage was done through approved Church (Church wedding) or statutory marriage (court wedding), the case starts from a state high Court.
