People bring issues out of nothing. We are Africans and we respect our elders. AA is senior to PO by age and at the same time a former VP. There4, it is not bad for PO to bend down or genuflect in greeting him as a former VP as well as his senior.

God1000:
Donald trump wants to run Venezuela from US as emperor or what? All for oil

A whole president was captured like a common criminal and some Nigerians are hailing this unconscionable act
They way people comment on some issues sometimes I feel pained. Venezuela has one of the largest oil reserves in the world. Are the citizens benefiting from this oil? Definitely, if the country is in turmoil, the citizens will run to the developed nations thereby putting pressures on their already drenched economies. It should be a concern of the USA when these countries are not run well by their leaders. Assuming that Nigeria's economy is stable with constant electricity supply, our security is top-notch, why would make Nigerians run to Libya or Morocco to enter Europe?

Spiritmask:
Opay don't charge the sender, but the receiver, from next year, both the sender and receiver will pay N50.
Currently only the receiver pays the N50, from next year, the sender will start paying it,.
What it means is that if you are sending N10,000+ to your love ones, bank will charge a total of N100, N50 from u and N50 from them.
Example, if you want to send N10000 for something urgent, you have to have N10100, then you will send N10050, bank will deduct 50 from your account, when it reach the receiver, they will get N10,000 after bank have deducted another N50.
This charges is only for stamps duty, and other charges will be included during the transaction
You didn't read the news very well. What is currently obtainable is the receiver that pays the EMTL of N50. The government is now saying the Sender should pay the EMTL of N50 when the transfer is From N10k and above. The receiver will no longer pay the N50 levy.

BusinessRe: No Bank Is Allowed To Debit Your Account Over Loan Repayments Unless... by regenerateman(m): 10:58am On Dec 10, 2025
BodePolScience:
What I can deduce from the original post is that it's only banks that have the exclusive right to auto debit as along as there's a signed document/mandates between both parties (just your bank and you) And NOT APPS/LOAN SERVICE PROVIDERS and that banks don't have the right to auto debit on behalf of those apps/loan service providers or loan apps. For instance, Palmpay auto debiting for Flexicash is very wrong and against the law.
When you collect loan from loan Apps, you must put your debit card details on the App implying that any failure to pay, the loan App will auto debit your account through the card information you lprovided.
BusinessRe: No Bank Is Allowed To Debit Your Account Over Loan Repayments Unless... by regenerateman(m): 10:52am On Dec 10, 2025
BodePolScience:
I later got to know that it wasn't even Palmpay ongoings, it was a brand called Flexicash but it seems the brand is using or hiding under Palmpay to perpetrate such illegal practices and that makes Palmpay to be complicit.

First, a 7 day loan duration is illegal, unethical, lacks common sense and against Google Play Store policies. If Palmpay is on Playstore, then its loan services or subsidiary shouldn't contravene Playstore policies on loan and that makes Palmpay complicit. Also, adding daily overdue fee right from the 7th day until the debt is fully paid is very damaging and very unethical.

It's very embarrassing that in this 2025/2026, we still have some Mr. Shylocks in our regulated finance sectors who are ready to take pounds of flesh from their debtors.
Why take loans if you know that you can't pay? Nigerians have penchant for loans and they don't pay. Those guys are doing business so if you borrow money from pay, please.

There are mass shootings everyday in USA, the number of mass shootings in USA in 2025 is already more than the number of days in the year, this should be their concern. But their concern is Nigeria’s solid minerals and oil, they will never get it, never ever again
Crimes are committed in every country of the world. Unlike in Nigeria, where terrorists are pampered and given chieftaincy titles, rehabilitated and re-integreted in the military. Other countries punish people that commit crimes with jail terms. Corrupt politicians cases in courts are declared as nolle prosequi once they join the ruling party
