Anyway, to clear your misgivings, read Matt 23:23. Jesus did not condemn tithes. He condemned the Pharisees for neglecting justice but profess self-righteousness. A lot of you hang unto this scripture to disobey God.

I have read many messages or argument around tithes and offerings. Truth is that tithe is an obligation to be PAID. it is not a gift to the church. You only give offerings such as freewill offering (typically representing a fulfilling of Lev 1:1-17), in fact Lev 1:3 says offering is voluntary. So what you give is based on your appreciation for all you know God has done for you. So you GIVE your offering.

Now for tithe, it is an obligation that is paid. So tithe is a payment. If you do not pay your tithe, you are a robber (Mal. 3:8 ). This is the plain truth and the scripture is clear on how God sees robbers. Robbery occasioned by Fear and Unbelief. Fear because you think 90% will not sustain you in the month. Unbelief because you doubt God's promise for obedience. God only look at you as a rebel and disobedient. So His hedge over you is weak as satan can accuse you of disobedience and God cannot disprove that because that is fact.

Faith conquers Fear. Faith puts you in the front view of Almighty God. Faith is the only passcode to God's promises, so if you bear a Fear code, you have no or limited access to God's grace. It is only fear and unbelief that will stop you from paying your tithe. Let me ask you. How do you feel when you pay your tithe? How do you also feel when you do not? You be the judge!
I have heard some people argue that instead of paying the tithe to my church, I can give it to the orphanage or needy or even use it to buy something for the church. They argue that after all, I gave it out. That is a violation of scripture. In fact as some said. Lets assume you are owing NEPA N10k bill. On your way to pay the bill you saw their pole fell, so you used the noney or part to raise the pole. Will NEPA now wipe out your bill? Or suppose you are owing LIRS N20000 for land tax, then you decide to help LASG to clear refuse with money, will you take your receipt to them and ask for your Tax Clearance Certificate?
Why then do we challenge God's Laws?

Please go and pay your tithe. That is God's commandment. If you missed paying it, you are required to add 20% to it for failing to pay so your tithe becomes 12% instead of 20%. That is the law. The scripture is clear that says

With this precedence any candidate can conjure votes and proceed to court so that all such votes are added to whatever INEC announced. By this token, Nigeria does not need INEC but Supreme Court to give directive on who should be issued certificate of return.

This is a brazen and a slap on our collective conscience. So 388 polling units where votes were cancelled were all won by Hope Uzodinma. How possible? Even at that, he would have recorded above 500 votes on each of the polling units with the other candidates getting nothing. The Supreme Court of Nigeria need to show the world the individual results that mske them declare Hope Uzodinma winner.
Even the judiciary... Nigeria democracy is really compromised and this is really annoying.
