It all started in 1985,I was barely 8. My elder sis used to have a friend aunty Bimpe. She was 23,and both was reading for WASC. They used to study together till daybreak. Pls note that this was a period where passing exams meant breakthrough in life. Being the only boy ,my role was to keep vigil with them. Aunty Bimpe then used to call me "my husband". Parents should pls discourage anyone calling their children such pet names.it is always more than the eyes can see. |

This is not a show of sexual prowess. I just feel like sharing the story hoping that I might be liberated, and also for posterity sake. Am in my early forties, married and doing fine. I have had affairs severally with married women, most of which were instigated by the women or by virtue of my sexual sensitivity. I will take my time to tell you how it all started. Pls note that the aim of the story is to encourage parents to take proper care of their kids. If I get abused so much,I might be discouraged. If you are a young adult, u might be experiencing this. As for more me it has ended, but I still feel bad each time I reminisce. |
Politics › Re: Forgotten History Of Igbo Tribe And Northern Alliance by remonics: 4:38pm On Jan 24, 2020 |
AstroG: OP,define Summary God bless you for this piece. This is nothing but the truth. After the general election of 1959 the North needed 172 seats out of the 312 seats in order to rule Nigeria. They decided to form a coalition with zik who gladly accepted. Earlier on awolowo had approached zik for a coalition which zik agreed on ,only for him to later reneged on it. To be truthful awolowo started tribal politics in the west and zik felt betrayed, only for him to take his pound of f!esh in 1959. Zik thought that alliance with the gullible north is better than the wise west. Thus the marriage of two strangers. Ironically the region being marginalised today is the remote cause of what Nigeria is experiencing today. |

yes it pained me. Buhari never patronise any local university. At least this one should have studied in Nigeria to show a kind of patriotism. No wonder the Nigerian university system will continue t be in disarray. We are yet to have committed leaders in Nigeria GASKIYA! |

Officialgarri: I don't think his crime was that he spoke from the pain in his heart.....
His crime is that the government knows a MOPOL cannot type in a correct and comprehensive manner such as this.. Employing someone to write for you means he can employ someone to carry his rifle
Secondly, it is a crime for a zombie (military or paramilitary) to express his rights openly check his name again. the probability that he is not educated is half.besides, most Nigerian graduates now believe half bread is better than none. I won't be surprised if he is a graduate. |

After the abolition of slave trade in 1807,the British came to nïgér ärea to ensure compliance. they signed treaties with our kings in exchange for constant supply of commodities such as dry gin etc .The British then presented the treaty at the Berlin conference of 1885. This automatically made them the owner of Nigeria. |

ifiokjohn: Hey Mr, though am not an aspirant of unilag but i will like to ask you a question base on this jamb caps of a thing.
M an aspirant for fulafia and recently jamb started giving admission to students on caps but i noticed that those being giving admission by Caps were those with lower jamb scores ( note; no post utme was conducted) though the sch have not release it's own admission list yet but i thought the skul will first of all send names of students to jamb and jamb will give them the admission. I had 255 with 6Bs and 3 Cs in my olevel but yet hv not been admitted by caps and it not only me, many more students with amazing high score have not been admitted by jamb. My question is why is this so? this is what happened to my son too.Though the school is musa yaradua university in kastina.he chose law,and has 289 in utme with 81% in putme.Though the school is yet to release its list, jamb has given out admissions on caps. The boy is seriously distressed. |

shege45: Let me tell you guys a brief story. When i was in secondary school, i was the best student in my class. I was so good that I represented my school in any competition held.
Going to university, i still had that flare. I was still very serious. I read like a mad person , but due to some factors , my gp was really bad in yr 2 and 3. Regardless of the fact that I studied hard. Other years were good but it was unfortunate i came out with a 2.2 degree. If a degrees were to be given according to your level of seriousness, I would have made a first class.
However, i came out of school thinking that atleast its not like 2.2 is a bad result, It’s average. I tried looking for a job, but everywhere says minimum 2.1. I had to settle for a teaching job which i still do now. I have given up on looking for job because everyone says the same thing. 2.2 has made me believe i am no longer intelligent. People in my family, my friends , my colleagues at work all believe that i am intelligent. But my degree tells me otherwise.
Now here is what saddens me. A friend of mine whom i knew i was better than academically back in school posted a picture of a car given to him by his employer. He came out with a 2.1 (p:s he got that job without knowing anyone in the company,he saw it online and applied).Everyone in the department knew how he always passed his exams. Although i am genuinely happy for him, but I am sad for myself. Do employers think that we 2.2 graduates are totally worthless? Coming out with 2.1 is a nice achievement and many people who got it worked really hard for it but many factors can make a bright student come out with 2.2. I have been teaching for three years now and I sometimes ask myself, would I continue like this? I don’t want to be like some of my colleagues who are way older than i am and still teaching. I am 25.
An advice to people in universities. Do any thing you can to come out with a 2.1. Don’t let that no job thing fool you. Read , cheat or buy 2.1, but do whatever it takes to come out with it. Get it first then listen to the no job story because your story can actually change with it. As for 2.2, there is actually no job unless you have somebody somewhere. be positive my brother, your time shall come. however different stories for different foes. I left school with 2.1,but 18 years later, am a taxi driver. my mates ate managers of banks here and there. but u know what, I still believe I can still catch up with them because am about becoming a lawyer. not that I did not have my own share of comfort. immediately after Nysc I went into poultry, and I was quite successful till my farm had an outbreak I did not recover from. you are still young try and do something different. your time shall come. |

am not igbo.I confess that common igbos are special breeds,But not their leaders. at a time in the history of nigeria , igbos had nigeria in its grasp.
1. Nnamdi Azikwe kicked against referedum.
2.The first coup in nigeria was executed by igbos.
3.Aguiyi Ironsi started this unitary federalism.
4.The pampering of the 1966 coup plotters by Aguiyi and the humiliation of hausa by igbos in kano prompted the second coup by hausas.
5.The war fought by Ojukwu was not based on popular consultation. please read the book written by Achebe(there was a country).
the Bible says" the fathers has eaten the forbidden fruits, and the children's teeth has gone sour". This is why igbos are suppressed in a country they built. Igbo hands are Midas touch, but they are conquerors in Nigeria without victory. Arewa was trained by igbos. Go to Kano, hausa are virtually into every business now. Most of the technicians in arewa are hausas now, unlike before.
But despite these,i dream of new Briafra that will come out of Nigeria, like a new Jerusalem. |

hello guys. i have been taking a rest from poultry, unfortunately an elderly friend sought my advice on his layer.according to him he bought 1000doc layers from zartech. he gave them gendox and vitamin accordingly.he gave gumboro on the eight day, then lasota on the seventeenth day. the birds reacted and started twisting their necks . few days later after some mortality ,when the mortality seemed reduced, with the mixture of gendox and conflox , he gave 2nd gumboro.since then he has recorded much mortality. today alone he recorded 30.he said he has place them back on gendox and tiviral ,this afternoon.pls note that he gave them gumboro only yesterday, and he has not given them the 2nd lasota yet. he said the birds are fine from the color of their faeces and their consumption is great.the birds will be four weeks on monday.the major symptons are twisting of neck, paralysis, and dropping of feathers.these are all signs of NDV, but i dont know what to tell him pls help! |
