Romance › Re: Please How Do I Fix A Gas Burner That Burns Too Fast by RepoMan007: 11:27am On Jun 02, 2024 |
Remman: it is normal. Even if you lower it at the initial start up, once the burner heats up, it will draw more gas. At this time, you need to reduce the burner again but very slowly and a bit small, otherwise it will just go off and you'll need to light it again.
Solution, look for a burner that has more air holes and the valve is a bit further away from the burner. In other words, these kind of burners are refered to as original or US/Japan/Korean made burners and are thrice the price of the one you have now. The original burners can only be found in big supermarkets or serious (not criminally minded) burner/gas cylinder retailers.
Otherwise, you can manage the one you have by readjusting the valve when it heats up and you'll be good but make sure you change to a new one after two years (max) of use. That behaviour is caused by vibration and not heat. If lowered well enough to greatly reduce the vibration that reaches the valve, it stays like that for as long. Another solution is to support the control valve with an object the will stiffen the position of the control valve. Your solution is appropriate because what we have here is mostly cheap inferior stuffs. The superior ones are designed with simmering needs in mind and don't easily vibrate or loosen their grip of the valve. |

Long overdue. It took the exhaustion of natural resources o make that simple fact obvious to some. It may take severe hardship to make it obvious to the majority of us. |

Christianity Etc › Re: How Giving God N5,000 Brought Me N25,000, Foodstuff— Pastor Ibiyeomie by RepoMan007: 9:57am On Jun 02, 2024 |
malali: Pastor David Ibiyeomie's testimony of giving his entire salary to God and receiving miraculous returns is problematic and misleads believers into thinking that financial miracles can be bought. Such claims commercialize faith and exploit vulnerable congregants who may already be struggling financially.
Biblical Perspective on Giving: The Bible teaches us about giving cheerfully and out of love, not with the expectation of receiving financial gain in return. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, it says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." This verse underscores the importance of the intention behind giving rather than the amount or the anticipated reward.
Exploiting Faith for Financial Gain: Promoting the idea that God rewards monetary donations with financial windfalls undermines the true essence of Christian generosity. Jesus warned against such practices in Matthew 6:24, where he states, "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." This highlights the danger of intertwining faith with financial expectations.
A Call for Discernment: Encouraging believers to give all they have, especially when they are already struggling, is irresponsible and exploitative. It’s crucial to teach the congregation discernment and a balanced approach to giving. As 1 Timothy 6:10 cautions, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." This serves as a reminder that the pursuit of financial gain should never overshadow genuine faith and spiritual growth.
While giving is a vital part of Christian life, it should never be driven by promises of financial return. Pastors must lead by example, emphasizing the true biblical principles of generosity and service rather than perpetuating a prosperity gospel that preys on the financially vulnerable. his giving was a response to an instruction from God. Anyone who decides to ignore the order from above part and do the remaining steps with gains in view is doing testing one-two. |
