God punish local farmers,, they should all fold up and burn to hell if they don't want to produce... This people are the bedrock of food inflation in this country... Enable competition so that they will calm down a little..
local farmers are not the problem. The middlemen are. Misplaced priority

everyone is claiming real worker and so the ghost workers are blending in nicely.

How long did it take to pre fabricate the components?

A modern car assembly plant makes a car under 45 minutes. The main task is not putting the parts together. It’s in building the components and that takes time.
Give it to them. A tailor doest include time of fabric production into his target. They quote you the time it takes to put the pieces together. Even regular buildings too use blocks and plywood, all premade stuffs.

This talk of worth is useless in a sense. What is the output of a worker worth?

But for over 2 decades of promotion, the local production have not been able to meet even 20% of our demands. For now a bold decision is required to address food crisis and this is laudable till we are able to re-strategize.
subsidy is gone for good was a bold statement not matched with preparation.

Let's even leave those who argue about the subsidy for now. What was the urgency with floating the naira?
Govt lacked the forex supply or inflow to match demand for forex and when forex is artificially cheaper than it should be, demand is bound to be higher. It had to go. Another effect was a falls sense of economic growth and size it created. Dividing by N800 to a dollar made us the largest in africa but in reality we should be dividing by around N1500 to a dollar which has pushed us to 4th largest. It also pushed out rich men off the rich list to their actual positions.

Why can’t all state gov invest in massive agricultural production
that doesnt present them a healthy stealing window. Flyover and overhead bridges are better for that purpose.

This is the very first action I am seeing being taken to suggest that the government has any intention of addressing the hardship in the country. Let's see how it goes. Many more steps are needed, yes, including the partial return of subsidy and the "unfloating" of the naira.
we are suppose to avoid subsidy and floating of naira but in the face of wastage being perpetrated by the govt, that's hard thing to not do.

Good idea, though it will affect our local production, but it’s the right step for now. The local farmers need to brace up and the government needs to improve and guarantee the security of farmers.

Nigeria will be great again.
local goods cannot compete as it is, so lowering the entry barrier for alternatives will kill local production faster.
Business › Re: FG To Suspend Import Duties And VAT On Food Items, Others by RepoMan007: 5:39pm On Jun 05, 2024
Error. That leaves the gap between imported and locally produced food narrower than ever and will increase demand for forex causing weaker naira to drive local price equivalent of imported food up again.

Give local farmers one extra reason to want to produce more.

Your clock is not standing upright. That would have allowed for estimation using angles between 12/0 dial to resolve the hour, minute, and second hands.

After using the two closest dials to 12:00 point to resolve and see which makes most sense, I arrived at 2:50 (AM/PM).

Going clockwise from the usual 12:00 point, the first clock hand is hour, followed by second hand, then the minute hand.

Tinubu has finished this country oo.

I saw this at Oja Oba!

They now have to break yam it into pieces for it to be affordable to them.

This is what the likes of Toyin Abraham is using to catch cruise? Saying it’s her choice? Instead of apologizing to Nigerians who she misled to vote for this unbelievably reckless government, she’s there threatening people.

Do you know what it means for people to be so poor to the extent of not being able to afford one tuber of yam?

Nigerians are literally dying but to some people, they want to stick to their “choice” at the expense of the nation.

Just admit that you’re wrong with your choice. Apologies and call out these heartless people you voted for.

stop being stupid sir. Every problem is not a function who is in power. Some are structural and others are cultural. The man in office hasn't forced you governors not to invest heavily in agric like Kebbi or Gombe is doing. They are all doing flyover and overhead bridges so they can easily take their lion share and have some that looks huge to commission.
