Just wondering based on reality of food cost trajectory.

If harvest was done between February and April, prices of some items should at least reflect that. I didn't hear of any such price change.

ghost workers come in degrees. I am talking of the one who get employed, don't work, but get paid.
They aren't really ghost but are like ghosts to the system. One LGA with 5 vehicles but 40 drivers on payroll. Imagine that. No lab equipments but so many lab attendent and technologists. Task forces just extorting the private sector and eating it in addition to salary. These people too are in line for increase and will share the money with the truly working civil workforce.

politicians largely did. A governor whose party couldn't secure the next four year on office will wilfully employ many idlers before handing over just to cause problem for the opposition. Some are more deep rooted.

Labour is wrong. If truly the labour is labouring as assumed then there will be no need to import things talk less of using foreign currency to demand local reward. Can their effort from january to December fetch them $500? May be for few of them like lecturers and top civil servants. The vast majority wont get even $100 for 12 month of idleness.

Fiscal and monetary control strategies to combat inflation. It's paying off gradually as the month on month increase in inflation has started declining from last month while govt revenue is rising up.

It's very difficult and almost impracticable to combat inflation, raise minimum wage significantly and expand the economy at the same time but the Cardoso-Edun combo is like magic in economics. They will over-deliver and exceed expectations at last. Petrol importation will likely end this month as Dangote Refinery starts releasing its petrol into the local market, freeing up more forex to FG which is at same time reducing electricity subsidies and funding big impact projects like Lagos- Calabar coastal highway, Sokoto - Badagry highway, etc

Stupid logic. MoM decrease in inflation rate increase is down to investments in agriculture. It is usually followed by harvest time surge in supply and thus easing of inflation between August and early December.

We subsidized forex and dollar in past and that meant indirect subsidy of anything that is priced against intl market inputs. Very cascaded problem. It's like an onion. So many troublesome layers to deal with.

Imagine if the stranded Nigerian students in the UK are loaned the money needed to finish their studies and become employed over there. They will be productive to mankind, prosper themselves, and probably remit forex home. That's better than many projects our govt is doing.
