Please how can I get market data for the past five years? |
Wish I could epp, am still a newbie on it...... I did it via bank, maybe stockbrokers can do it too.... I.e CSL chimeziem: |
Banks like frustrating T-bill patronizers in order to retain their cash. I've been a victim of this severally. They compel and persuade you- why not go for FD? T-bill is not paying at the moment?....and many blablas. If you insists, they'll advise you to leave it for them to do the bidding. But at last you won't be successful. Sylverly: |
Pls, is the interest of 4.5% monthly or yearly? I.e what will 1.5m accrue in a month? Someone told me is 4.5%/12=0.00375 for a month. mekaboy: |
Exactly. Cash Deposit have been milking me all this while. BitterTruthUass: |
I made my T-bill debut... I just got alert from FCMB, that my #240000 bid @ 10.2% was successful. Debit alert DESC: VAL OF T-BILL AMT:NGN215,661.66 While they charge #360 as custodian fee. |
All thanks to the financial gurus in this thread. Its been a while I've been following this thread- its quite informative. I'd staged with UBA Fix Deposit for almost one year but since I learnt about T-bill, its now boring to me. Please when its the next auction? Since FBN is more preferable with the best yield, can I buy it via them without an account there?? Can I give a start with 250k via FBN ![]() cc; anyone who can help me out. |

Sometimes I try to focus on my business or other tins just to curtail my passion for medicine... But sadly, I couldn't. Sometime I just feel like fast-forwarding the clock.... But unfortunately, Its impossible. I'm left with no other option than to draw solace from medical sites and journals- I'll still get there! #Aspirant

So long as Nigerians are concerned, we modify to adapt to any situation. I've actually witnessed what you are talking about. What baffled me was the specially constructed iron tank placed in the booth, & connected to the tank of the car! This can house as much as 50 gallons of petrol! |
Somebody abeg donate one like, make we make am 93 for 93damsels |
Op i disagree wt u @ no 2, "avoiding the occasion of sin", have actually stood the test of time. In the Bible King David conveted Uriah's wife cos he "experimented" (occasion of sin) & couldn't hide away from the shame of it's consequences! Anyman would actually fall when in a (closed circuit), & it takes alot of courage, & God's grace to avert this or unless dem castrate d guy from village! |

The Kogi State Governor,
Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on
Monday, said he could not
afford to fail the people of
the state as he was
determined to reposition
the state and make it a
first destination for
development through
investments.
The Governor also said he
would not be distracted
from achieving his
laudable goals by agents
that are opposed to
change and wanted the
status quo to remain.
According to him, his
administration would
herald a new beginning of
the true value of
governance, promising to
"refocus the state to meet
the needs of her people
through quality education,
healthcare delivery,
agricultural revolution and
a Marshall plan to make
Kogi State the industrial
hub of West Africa".
A statement by the Chief
Press Secretary (CPS) to
the governor, Kingsley
Fanwo, said the bilateral
dialogues with local and
foreign agencies would
start yielding fruits,
pleading with the people
of the state to support his
administration to bring
the desired change that
will make Kogi the pride
of all.
"To achieve development,
we know we have to
achieve ethnic, industrial
and political harmony.
Civil servants must receive
their salaries to curb
incessant strike actions
and the attendant security
challenges associated with
such. My government has
moved to ensure that
ghost workers are
removed from our payrolls
to pave way for genuine
workers to earn their
salaries regularly.
"We have also moved to
stop the deductions from
Local Government
allocations that have
made it impossible for
them to pay their staff.
The directive requiring all
Permanent Secretaries to
proceed on leave was to
pave way for a
transparent staff audit of
ministries, agencies and
parastatals. I am prepared
to fulfill my pact with the
people to remain a fair
Governor who is
interested in developing
the state and its people".
Bello also expressed his
determination to end
corruption in the civil
service to ensure probity,
accountability and
productive, saying for the
state to move forward, the
people of the state must
begin to see corruption as
a common enemy.
The governor also pledged
to work harmoniously
with the State House of
Assembly, saying
members of the Assembly
are honourable people
who have genuine interest
in moving the state
forward.

IT was a
sad weekend in Ndubia
Inyimaegu community
in Izzi Local Government
Area of Ebonyi State,
following reports of the
death of one Jacinta,
who was allegedly
beaten to death by her
husband, James Uguru,
over adultery.
Confirming the incident,
Police Public Relations
Officer of the state
command, ASP George
Okafor, revealed that the
suspect had angrily
beaten his wife to
stupor when the
deceased stopped him
from chasing after her
alleged lover boy.
The Lagos-based Uguru
was said to have
become suspicious of
the wife’s alleged
promiscuity following
rumours making the
rounds on the matter in
the community
whenever he visits
home to see his family.
… and the phone rang
It was learned that
trouble started when
the couple was
discussing in the sitting
room and suddenly a
phone started ringing in
their bedroom. As the
husband made to go for
the phone, his wife held
his waist, preventing
him from moving.
Vanguard gathered that
as he was being
prevented from entering
the bedroom, the wife’s
alleged lover ran out
from their bedroom. His
wife’s insistence that he
should not chase after
the man made him vent
his anger on her.
A source said: “He
started punching the
woman, who eventually
collapsed and was
rushed to the hospital
where she was
confirmed dead.”
Vanguard further
gathered that the
suspect, while in Lagos,
had been suspecting the
wife of having an extra-
marital affair with the
said lover before the
ugly episode.
According the police
spokesman, the suspect
has been arrested as
efforts were on to arrest
the said lover boy.

Spokesman of the Nigeria Air Force, a high ranking officer, has landed himself in serious trouble for releasing highly classified and sensitive information on military operations in the North-East to the public. Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, the Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, was cautioned by superior officers and compelled to retract a statement credited to him on the fate of more than 200 Chibok schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School in Borno State by murderous Boko Haram elements in 2015. The Air Force director was alleged to have told a broadcast station last week that the Nigerian Air Force has located where the abducted Chibok girls were being held by their abductors, but superior officers viewed the comments as contradicting the position of the Federal Government. Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa allegedly explained to a Channels Television interviewer that the Air Force has deliberately avoided bombing a specific location in the Sambisa Forest in the ongoing bombing campaign because aerial surveillance of the area suggested that the girls were kept there and needed to be kept safe. Sources at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters disclosed that high- ranking officials were unhappy when Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa’s interview was broadcast. Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa was named the new Director of Public Relations and Information on January 6, 2016, to replace the former Air Force spokesman, Air Commodore Dele Alonge, who moved to the Defence Headquarters as the Theatre Information Officer. It was gathered that the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar, personally requested that the Air Force spokesman should explain what he meant when he said during the interview programme that the Air Force had deliberately shunned a specific location in the ongoing bombardment of Sambisa forest, aiming only at the logistics bases of the Boko Haram sect to avoid exposing the hostages to harm. www.today.ng/news/national/83105/naf-spokesman-in-trouble-over-confusing-statement-on-chibok-girls. |

Billionaire business man
and Chairman of Capital
oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, says if
given the chance, he can
make the dollar return
back to N200 within one
month. Ubah said this
during an Interview with
Channels TV yesterday
February 21st
"Look at the position
of the Naira today.
Some of us have
ideas on how we can
restore this. Do you
know how many
Bureau De Change
people who food has
been taken out of
their families
because of this?
If you say they are
the ones causing it,
then where are you
today? It needs
strategic
management. It
won’t take me one
month, if you give
me part of that
consultancy, Naira
would come back to
200. I can bet my life
with it. Naira would
come back to N200.
If you call me for
that consultancy, I
would put Naira
back to 200”he said
