BE811APP:
Congratulations..

Did u buy the tickets with ur husband and child or just you?

It scares me seeing delays in applications of family memebers..

It will be well in Jesus Name!!! Amen...

The plan as stated in our SOP was that my hubby and kids will come visiting in December, so we didn't buy their tickets but I bought mine right after I submitted.

Thnx

I have been a silent reader on this platform and I thank everyone that has shared their experiences on study permit application. Below is my application time line and documents.
Offer from Carleton university 22 April
Online application 3rd May
Biometrics 4th May
Upfront medical
Medical passed 14th July
Original passport request 14th July
Passport pick up 21st July
Documents submitted
All cic documents
University degree, NYSC etc
Various SOA - CAD55K
Detailed SOP
Work related documents- 9years work experience
Travel history- US, Canada, UK, Dubai, Turkey
I want to encourage everyone waiting for TRV that nothing is impossible with God. I applied with my husband and Son; I have visited Canada a couple of times with my son, and I currently hold a visiting visa that expires in 2019. Though My application looked perfect, i didn't remove God from it all because for me study permit is totally different from visiting, I prayed and fasted, I also held on to a word I got from this forum in this part Mark: 11, 23-25.
I didnt pay tution b4 applying, i bought my ticket right after i submitted my app ( I took a step of FAITH) and that has saved me thousands of Nairn. While I applied for a study permit my hubby and son applied for Visiting; but my hubby n son were delayed based on purpose of visit despite the fact that my son has visited Canada with me severally. Someone told me my hubby ought to have applied for Open Work permit, but we have requested for the Gcms note.
Here is to encourage everyone; "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."
Cheers.

Hello everyone. Baptist medical center in saint Louis , Missouri charges $1,500 for a 24hr stay after delivery, 2,100 for 48hrs.... Epidural $800 and you can get a doctor for $2,450, the doctor will refund $900 after delivery, pediatrics is &210. My friend had her baby in this hospital , total was about $4,060. I plan to go there too. I called the hospital and they confirmed the price for the hospital stay so long has you pay 30 days to your EDD. +13149965000.

I just called the hospital, the fee is not inclusive of doctors fees and other tests. It's just labour and delivery.

For those looking for information on hospitals in New Jersey, I stumbled on this hospital Morristown medical center; hospital bill is 3900 and pediatrician is 1200 but if you paying cash upfront they give 40% discount. I called their billing dept on +18006194024. Feel free to call and make enquiries. http://www.atlantichealth.org/morristown/our+services/maternity/before+you+arrive+for+delivery/how+to+register.

TheCongo:

Tobsin, I beg to differ with the bolded part. The health card is the first thing the hospital would give to any child born in Ontario. The child would get the health card even before getting the birth certificate. When the mother is about to be discharged from the hospital, the hospital would give to the mother the temporary health card ( a piece of paper) for the baby as the permanent health card (the plastic one) would be sent to her through post office. The mother has to apply for a birth certificate and Social Insurance ONLINE and they will be sent to her via post office.

@OP, in the case of low risk pregnancy, there is also the possibility of giving birth from "home" with a midwife instead of going to the hospital.
Midwifery services are completely funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, so women do not pay for care out-of-pocket. Women who are not currently covered by OHIP can still receive free midwifery care. - See more at: http://www.ontariomidwives.ca/midwife/q-a
@thecongo pls do you have idea of price hospital n procedures? How long does it take to get d baby's passport

tobsin: Hey house,

As regards giving birth in Canada, it is true that any child born on Canadian soil gets automatic citizenship. However, I beg to disagree with Justwise that the child gets automatic health card too. Health card is given only if either parent has one.
Regarding when to 'enter', I know someone that came in less than 3 weeks before she had her baby. I'm not sure of the official date.

Thanks
@tobsin thanks for the info. Pls do you have an idea of d cost and hospital. Help with all info u can get. Was d birth in Toronto ? because I heard its had to get a doctor if u above 30 weeks.

Hotstepper: Cool down people. I was going to post, just making sure ppl still come here lol.

As I earlier mentioned, the baby will be a citizen immediately with health card and social insurance card given immediately. My nurse friends I consulted, advised to be in the country early enough, atleast before tummy starts showing well to avoid not allowing to fly to entry into the country.

In terms of delivery, they said it shouldnt cost more than 6 thousand dollars but to hold 10 thousand dollars as each doctor visit, one will pay.

In terms of hospital, u will be assigned to a hospital in your area where you stay. For Canada, once you land, you look for any walk in clinic in your area and register with a family doctor. It's now the family doctor that will find you a gynecologist and you deliver your baby in the hospital where your gynecologist work. That's it and I hope the information helps.

Good luck, safe journey and safe delivery, amen

@hotstepper thnx for d info. Canada's process seem to be more complicated unlike d usa. My cousin also told me that u have to enter like 4 months b4 EDD cos doctors don't take patients frm 2 moths to delivery.
Thnx. Pls update with any other info
