One of the contestants for the position of the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, has congratulated the winner of the election.

Dokpesi had initially protested the distribution of “Unity List ” to the delegates by unknown people at Eagles Square, venue of the convention, on Saturday night.
His name was not on the list.
All those who were on the list eventually won.

But when Secondus was eventually declared winner in the early morning of Sunday, Dokpesi in a statement, said that the delegates had spoken.
He said, “I write to thank you (delegates) most wholeheartedly for voting at the just concluded Elective National Convention in Abuja.

“The delegates have spoken. I congratulate the newly elected Prince Uche Secondus led National Working Committee.
“You will recall that i said that the PDP must be the ultimate winner at the end of the contest. God bless the Peoples Democratic Party. Congratulations PDP as i wish all our members the best of luck.”

Metal Gear V: Phantom pain is roughly two years now and i must say its living up to the hype. I'm almost done with the game and so far the game play, graphics and AI system are on point. Particularly fascinating is the weather system, buddy system, customization of the mother base and adaptability of the enemy combatants to your actions like switching to helmets and bulletproof vests is sublime. Best of all is the story line and game bosses like the skulls and sahelanthropus, the metal gear boss of the game. Take my word for it: if you are still yet to play this game you are wasting your gaming talent. For lovers of the series this game is everything you ever dreamed of and more! Below are some of the screenshots taken during my game play. Enjoy!

With all due respect research for facts lecturers don't take your money. The only reason lecturers asked for exemption is because with TSA visiting lecturers to other federal universities can't be paid because their account will be flagged. Bvn complicated payments as it will be seen as double payment under the payment system. Same with part-time lecturers

I must say am really impressed by this write up. I lecture in a university and I must state that the Op is spot on on most issues. The fact is the govt and ASUU have cases to answer. Sometimes even when funding is released in the form of tetfund it is grossly underassessed or in most cases politically allocated. I must also state that not all lecturers receive bribes and charge for handouts. I think that is an unfair basis for generalization. Students also share a portion of the blame. You don't need ASUU to strike to claim what you deserve and paid for! Under equipped labs, poor lecture halls, don't get me started on lecturer intimidation. I attended abu and I must state lecturers dared not harass or charge students for handouts! The university system is dying! Its time we trim the system and boost efficiency rather than build more universities. If I get fired to save the system so be it! Our old profs are the bulk of our problem today. Ego over nothing is a key issue. No clear cut ideology and goals in depts and no motivation to seek grants and carry others along

Nairaland has truly gone to the dogs. Seeing youths in this country curse themselves along ethnic lines makes me cry. We truly are in trouble. If this is the representation of the larger youth population even the Biafra that comes won't be any different. To me Biafra isn't a geographic entity but an ideology based on perceived injustice. That's where I feel KANU got it wrong. He started the insult game rather than get pple asking more from their leaders. Abuja and the president isn't our problem, our governors and LGA chairmen are! If the biafrans feel neglected they shouldn't look too far!
