After accepting the offer of admission from AKOKA (a college of technical education), u will still have to purchase their screening form and sit for their screening.
What am saying in essence is that accepting it does not guarantee automatic admission. What Uniben is doing is only to *refer*. You *accepting* means you are in consonance with the *reference*

It looks authentic but i still will not believe it until admission list is out,besides this is uniben someone with 60 -65 can get dentistry with some means although it will be in second or last list,merit list is meant for those that deserve it so im sure it those that score 72 and above that will get dentistry first before the others

Courses with high cut off mark usually indicates that such course is highly competitive and have high population.
However, the good news is that with a minus 2 to minus 4 (-2 to -4) from the cut off mark, u still stand s chance to be admitted depending on your catchment area.

The 2017/2018 Uniben PUTME admission exercise has long been concluded and the results has also been released. Aspirants of the reputable educational institution have been anxious to know the departmental cut off mark for respective courses in various faculties in the institution. Having a knowledge of the institution cut off mark will enable the admission applicants to have a glimpse of their admission chances.

Below is the official 2017/2018 UNIBEN PUTME screening cut off mark for respective departments/courses in the institution.

This is to inform the general public especially students of the University of Benin, to discard the trending update from the students Union government stating that HOSTEL APPLICATION started on Wednesday 18th October 2017, with the details of the SUG P.R.O attached because it was edited by an unknown miscreant trying to confuse UNIBEN STUDENTS.

Hitherto, a warning notice has been sent to those persons fond of editing the STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT updates for their selfish intentions to desist from such venture because if caught, they will be sanctioned.

The SUG PRO has also advised the general public to always contact the office of the public relations officer for clarification of anything online.

The Post Graduate Screening Test is slated to hold on Friday, 20th October 2017 as from 12 Noon at ICT CENTRE; Ugbowo Campus; UNIBEN. 

Applicants are adviced to confirm their exact Venue and Time of the screening from their Application Record on Wednesday 18th October 2017 from 10 AM.

NOTE THAT THERE ARE SELECT PROGRAMMES FOR SCREENING TEST

1. All M Sc. Programmes in the Department of Mathematics

2. All M Sc. Programmes in the Microbiology Department

3. All MA Programmes in The English Department

4. Master of Laws Programme (LLM) in the Faculty of Law

The Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board , Prof. Is - haq Oloyede , says the board may not review downward the fee for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in 2018 .
Oloyede told newsmen on Thursday in Ilorin that the board had initially thought of reducing the fee for UTME in 2018 .
The JAMB registrar, who decried the unwholesome activities of some parents during the 2017 UTME , said the reduction in fee was no longer attractive.
He said many people were arrested during the last UTME for allegedly collecting money from parents who were presumed to be poor .
“ It (reduction in fee ) is one of the options but what’ s mitigating against it , why I’ m not convinced and I don’ t think the board too is convinced, is that are the so - called poor people genuinely poor ?
“ Our findings reveal that what people spend on corruption in the society to solicit for what was not lost is alarming.
“ What parents pay for seeking unholy support , and what parents are prepared to pay looking for how to cut corners, show that if actually, they are poor , they will not be able to secure the resources they are wasting, ” he said .
On the controversy trailing the huge amount returned to the Federal Government coffers by JAMB this year , Oloyede said the board had not been wasteful and whatever comes in would be appropriately remitted .
He promised that the board would be strengthened to make it self - sustaining as obtainable across the world .
“ I am not aware of any agency that is in the nature of JAMB in the world and is being funded by government .
“ But in Nigeria , because we are used to something that is not proper , to get us out of what is improper will even be strange, ” Oloyede said .
Oloyede , who promised that the board would improve on its activities in the coming years, called on all stakeholders in the education sector, to be honest in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has urged higher institutions and the general public to disregard social media reports that he has cancelled Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME).

A statement by the Federal Ministry of Education on Wednesday in Abuja directed institutions to carry on with the conduct of the Post-UTME.
The statement was signed by Mrs Priscilla Ihuoma, Director, Press and Public Relations.
Ihuoma said that the minister also warned that institutions charging above the stipulated sum of N2000 for the exercise would be sanctioned.
“The attention of the Minister of Education has been drawn to a news report in the media claiming that the minister had issued a directive to universities to cancel the Post-UTME examinations already scheduled.
“The statement, according to the report, was issued by Mr. Ben Goong, Deputy Director of Press.
“The ministry would like to assert emphatically that the report is completely false and without foundation; Minister therefore urges universities to go ahead with their Post-UTME arrangements as earlier planned.
“Mr. Goong, who purportedly issued the statement, ceased to be a staff of the Ministry since November, 2016.
“The attention of the minister has also been drawn to some of the institutions who are charging more than the stipulated N2, 000.’’
Ihuoma said that the minister viewed it as an act of insubordination and emphatically redirected that every institution that violated the directive would be made to face disciplinary action.
She said that the minister directed such institutions to refund to the students immediately as Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had been directed to compile list of violators for appropriate sanctions.
“The ministry also urges the media to always endeavour to crosscheck facts with the relevant officials of the ministry before publication, particularly when such sensitive matters of national importance are involved.”

The University of Benin haa extended the deadline for submission of postgraduate applications to 24th of October 2017 .

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
All applications (Undergraduates) should be done between 7.00am 13th July, 2017 and 12.00 midnight 24th October, 2017.
Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process. Visit myuniben.edu

1. Click on Student Portal
2. Click on Register for application at the top left of the display page to proceed.
3. Enter your Surname correctly, immediately your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser.
4. On the https://uniben.waeup.org click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page).
5. Enter your Username and the password to login.
6. To start the application process, please click on‘Application record’, provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
7. Upload a RECENT and CLEAR “1×1” COLOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED BACKGROUND INJPEG FORMAT ONLY. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeitures of admission.
8. To pay for the Application, click on“Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “College Pay” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee of N12,050.00 (The fee excludes other charges), excluding Interswitch and Portal Services charges with an ATM-Enabled Verve or Master Card from any Commercial Bank.
9. Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. (No correction will be accepted after the closing date).
10. Print out an acknowledgment slip that contains the screening schedule.

The video as reported began with the bride and the groom ’ s relationship so far but suddenly , there was a clip of the bride with another man going into a hotel room and afterwards had intercourse in the room.
According to sources, the groom who is a wealthy businessman hired a private detective to trail his wife - to - be few weeks before their wedding . Perhaps , he had suspected that she was cheating on him .
After the video was played at the wedding, the ’ embarrassed ’ and ‘ humiliated ’ bride is said to have run out of the wedding hall .
It was not clear whether the ceremony had taken place by the time the groom got revenge on his ‘ cheating ’ partner.
The story became viral after the secret detective hired by the groom , Miss Zhuo granted an interview with a Singaporean media on the issue.
Zhuo said she expected her client to call off the wedding but she was amazed when she received an invitation to their wedding .
She claimed she spent six weeks monitoring the fiancée before reporting back on her alleged findings to her client .
She said it was only when she saw the tape of the woman appear at the wedding that she understood the groom ’ s motivation.
The footage was played in front of “many ” guests , Ms Zhuo said .
