According to Akuneme, the border closure ordered by NIS Comptroller-General Isah Jere would go into place on election day and will last 24 hours.
He further stated that the shutdown will be in place from 12 a.m. on Saturday to 12 a.m. on Sunday in order to protect the country from foreign invaders who want to vote as Nigerians.
