Usain Bolt demands his ad shoots to be done in Jamaica to bring money to his country. We all know that this man “Usain Bolt” is a world class athlete who has broken numerous records. But do we know Usain Bolt has brought a lot of money to Jamaica? If any international company is thinking of shooting Usain Bolt for an ad campaign, it must best start location scouting in Jamaica. Bolt stipulates that all photo shoots with him must be done right here in Jamaica. This is one of the many ways in which he’s giving back.Bolt believes by demanding that his ads are shot in Jamaica, he can continue to bring jobs there. He understands that his people needs them desperately. Bolt wants to make sure that he does everything in his power to make sure he brings as many jobs as possible to Jamaica. Honestly, we need more athletes and celebrities in Nigeria to think like Bolt does. Bolt loves his people, there is no secret why his people love him.He says, “It [must be] in the contract that they’ll do the shoots here, unless they don’t have the equipment. But as long as they have the equipment, it has to be [done] here, so I can help the economy. I’ve helped a lot of people, and they always thank me. They would say, ‘Big up Usain, you really helped us, bringing the jobs here.'” www.jaratalk.com

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has stated that presently, his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has lost its “soul”, adding that those responsible for the comatose state of the party are going about “unperturbed.” He made this assertion on Saturday shortly after receiving the factional national chairman of the PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff at his residence on Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital. The erstwhile chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, BoT, who was also a two term President of Nigeria on the ticket of the party, sympathized with Sheriff, saying he was “carrying a dying baby” on his “laps.” Reiterating that he was has left partisan politics for good, the former president stated that “PDP should be in an intensive care unit” for proper attention lest the factional National leader “becomes its undertaker.” He stated that one of the misfortunes that have fallen on the nation’s politics and democracy is that neither PDP is a strong opposition, nor is the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, a strong party in government. According to him, “As they all want to say now, ‘well, you were once the father of PDP’, I was once the leader, for eight years, I was the leader of PDP but the PDP that I was the leader of is not the PDP of today. “The PDP of today, if you can talk of a party again as PDP, its soul has been taken out of it and those who allowed that to happen are unfortunately either in the country or out of the country unperturbed about the fate of the party and indeed the fate of the country.” http://jaratalk.com/t/obasanjo-no-more-soul-in-pdp-sheriff-carrying-a-dying-baby/72

I was also there some few weeks back for west Africa Polytechnic Games. We camped there. The school is really nice. The most awesome thing there is the free WiFi . I really enjoyed my stay there.

I've always thought that there are four curses in life: Being rich Being powerful Being beautiful/good looking Being famous I believe these things can sometimes be curses and not blessings like you'd assume. Most people would wish for such luck, however, in reality, some of the people that have one (or more) of the curses lead a very lonely existence. And that is because some people want them for what they have and not necessarily for who they are and it can be difficult to discern which people are really there for the right reasons. Having repeated bad experiences with people that are using them in turn makes it hard for them to trust people. So... just know that not everyone's life is as great as you think it is from outward appearances. Looks can be deceiving! |
