Thanks for your kind response sir. yes I missed the FVG at the 1.096xx region. I trade both OB and FVGs. although my focus is on the nearest DOL which is a swing high at the 1.09304. I would like to see that taken out as this will show a +MSS before price heads to the 1.096xx region...

Did you see how the market reacted Today, buy side liquidity has been taken out.

All that's left is for the FVG to be tapped into.

I think there's a change in the state of delivery as it seems like the bulls may likely be taking over from the bears.
In light of these, I will be sitting out tomorrow because of the red folders coming up on both the euro and the dollar. I will return to the charts on Thursday and possibly trade if market presents opportunities in line with my trading model. Cheers. To all neophytes like me, I strongly suggest you sit out high impact news and come back when the storm is over. Learn to wade through calm waters for the sake of your sanity and the life span of your account.

So far the price action has been moving well. I’m expecting a bearish dollar in the near future.

Another confluence is the usdchf chart. By adding a bit of mathematics just to make it seem more interesting, the distance from current price to intended POI is between 70-80pips, this is for both pairs.


If both sells align, it will boost my confidence going into the trade.

Now, on EURUSD, my expectation on the pair has played out. I have been watching to see a weekly break and close below 1.08651, which is to me a confirmation of eurusd weakness. Here is what I am looking out for; My baise is to sell this pair down to 1.06203. But my desire would be activated when I see a retracement up to the 1.10530 level, then I would go short down to 1.06203. If I don't get the retracement to the level I am looking out for, then I will just stay off and won't trade it.

On GBPUSD, my anticipation played. It has broken below 1.25907 and a it's sign of gbpusd weakness. Now, I am very convinced that gbpusd would fall more, down to 1.23181. That's my take, even though there is no guarantee so that I don't talk as if my father is the owner of forex. But my biase is that it would fall down to 1.23181. But the point is I won't be selling now until I see a deep retracement to the upside level of 1.28271, then I can go short down to 1.23213. But if I don't get a retracement to that level, I won't bother trading gbpusd.

Personally, winning the 10k account will give me serious joy cos to me it's not my account but an account for the FTA community here on nairaland and a way to be able to give back.

As to how long I can pass it, i can't really say because giving myself time to pass the account indirectly mounts pressure on me and then you begin to see things that were never there in the first place all because of a self imposed time limit. Could be different for others tho

If I were to nominate somebody, i would nominate nzechu. He sees the bigger picture and this guy has left us all in the physical realm and has gone spiritual

Personally, the highest my strategy will let me is a 1.5 lot on a pair, split across zones..

How long is an appropriate time frame to pass phase 1 & 2?

There’s no appropriate time for this as well. So as to not add unnecessary pressure on yourself by yourself.

How many pair(s) is appropriate as well?

Personally I try to keep my list down to max 5 pairs in every trading week.

As my trading style is more conservative than aggressive except on rare occasions

Take the daily very serious except you’re a scalper or a swing trader. But if intraday is your vibe, treat the daily timeframe with all seriousness.

Nice observations.

But the retracement on eurusd could change things

More likely than not, we may end up with a range motion upwards with no clear resolution till September or October

It's hard to call how high eurusd could go before it supports a long term bearish position

This is eurusd and not gold. It is at its monthly low.

Sell Stop orders on eurusd might be the safest way to go about things, till the picture clears up by monday or tuesday.

At this point, a retracement on EU is expected. I think that there are zones yet to be filled before it eventually shoots down.

There might be a range motion but if you have an idea on what to expect, the ranges won't really matter tho

But we'll keep watching she
