GloriousGbola: the domestic terminal will continue - but the international wing - i think we will all be happy to see that unprofessionally managed mess go. the only issue is that there will now be transfer of traffic wahala to those who do not live in lekki axis yes. But I hope they will plan it properly and not just cite the airport for the sake of it just like most infrastructure in Nigeria without proper future plan. |

I laugh in Chinese. Like people don't already know that tinubu campaigned for buhari. He said it like it's some of sort of secret that tinubu campaigned for the presidential candidate in the party he was part of it's founding members. I guess tinubu should have campaigned for Jonathan in 2015 and atiku in 2019. I guess they should also gather all the materials of tinubu campaigning for ribadu or atiku, or atiku campaigning for buhari as some sort of joker to sway people from what they already know. Politics isn't just for some people. |

PDPGuy: I’ve read opinion statements from Naija aviation experts who gave figures ranging from 50% to as high as 70% that figure they quoted looks like a fable. MMIA is the only international airport in enitre south west. Some south western states don't even have airports at all and majority of travellers from south west use MMIA. How can occupants of lekki axis now take 50-70%? Just doesn't sound right |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by ribbit: 6:18am On Oct 11, 2022 |
No PDPGuy: Come to think of it: When the Lekki airport becomes operational, MMIA may go bankrupt cos at least 65% of the passengers who go thru MMIA live in the Lekki/VI/Ikoyi axis.
The airlines would either run skeletal services in Ikeja or completely move their operations to Lekki. I also think all the foreign airlines may move to Lekki (which would be designed and built to 21st century specs), rendering MMIA as a domestic airport how did you arrive at this though? |

chrisooblog: Well results speak for themselves. Since Sunday Igboho's exile SW has enjoyed relative peace.
It goes beyond condemnation but controlling the narrative. If after condemnation sit-at-homes are still being observed then what is the point? How can criminals openly defy constituted government every monday and every will just be watching? Anyway I have said my own. I also think igboho case was because educated Yorubas just don't see them self following illiterates like igboho blindly. Personally, I supported igboho's message, but I couldn't stand the messenger. Had fulani menace continued in Yoruba land after the arrest of igboho, and the governors didn't put measures in place to curb them or have Yoruba warriors like akeredolu. Another igboho would have come up that will be more acceptable to Yorubas. The difference will just be that the agitation for odua nation will be more tactical one than just wielding gun and attacking each other. |

chrisooblog: Ultimately PMB deserves to be blamed for not being decisive in dealing with the 'unkown gunmen threat' however you can't ignore the fact that for some reason many Igbo politicians are unwilling to denounce the terrorists but use flowery or mild words to describe them. From Uzodinma to Soludo to Ezekwesieli to Peter Obi they always dance round the issue.
When Army now deploys accusations of attempted genocide ring the air.
Now the IPOB scourge has become a full blown monster. If FG should go hard bombing and attacking IPOB hideouts with consequent collateral damage everyone will be up in arms that 'fulani' want to destroy the SE.
Political leaders in the SE can seriously help the FG by openly denouncing the violent insurgents in their midst and declare illegal this monday sit at home nonsense. So that the few trouble makers in their midst can be dealt with leaving only genuine agitators to lawfully continue to fight their cause.
However if SE politicians continue to play the ostrich people rightly or wrongfully will come to the conclusion that they are tacitly supporting IPOB. Remember how Boko Haram started elders and some politicians were denouncing GEJ for using full force against them shouting 'genocide, human rights abuse' thinking by blackmailing GEJ with such accusations they were making him look bad but who are the people that have ultimately borne the consequences now? Same way don't think by making PMB look bad by with IPOB things will be good for the SE in the long run. another well written post. I wonder how anyone would blame fg for what's happening in south east. As if many of them are new to nairaland, even if they don't follow other news outlets. We have seen news of south easterners hailing unknown gunmen as their saviour gracing the frontpage. Genocide cry when buhari and buratai launched python dance early to curb the menace of these miscreants. It's totally boko Haram all over again, and these people failed to see it but would rather bite their nose off so they blame the enemies they again |

https://www.nairaland.com/7371206/agbor-youths-hold-march-atiku this delta, I'm sure pdp is getting atleast 50% and apc atleast 25% or more. That's why apc guys need to do more campaign for obi in delta to get more votes for obi there. Atleast they should reduce atiku's vote to 30% They need to desecrate atiku's vote in south south as much as possible. South south has very good voting power and apc must make sure atiku doesn't get lion shares of those votes. |
