If not because I have been seeing your comment and I know your agenda, I for reply you. But I jump and pass.

My wife gave birth to our second child, since none of her relations were around except her mum that came for omugwo, I had to be going to market to get food stuffs and other groceries. When she had our first child, two of her sisters where around, so I had no business going to the market.

My fellow Nigerians, if you can eat 2 square meal a day, just know you are rich.

What I usually do is to drop money as requested for my wife when ever shes going to market. I dont really bother to check what was bought or the quantity. All I know is that there is food and other things at home.

O boy, I have entered market on 3 different saturdays and I keep asking myself how do the average Nigerian survive. Truly I can say that any family man with 2-3 kids earning 150k and below in Nigeria now is living below poverty line.

Basic things for food and house keeping items are damn expensive. You will buy meat of 40k and you cant even see the meat. Like whats going on. Egg that I use to casually buy now is almost 7k. So one have to budget for egg before he can buy it. As at corona virus, before I got married, I use to buy live broiler chicken for 1500 -2000, infact the sellers will be begging me. But to get a reasonably sized chicken, you need to cough out 15-20k.
I entered a super market, picked some basic items and toiletries, got to the counter, my bill was 50k+, and the items no even full leather bag.

Crayfish 1k is not even up to milk cup.

Let me not even tlk abt the price of fish.

I couldnt get pepper of less than 200 naira. Pepper that if I buy 50 naira own, some of them will waste because they are more than I needed.

That means the common man cant even feed again. The funny thing is that am even based in the north where its percieved that food are cheap. So if prices are high here, what will be of the south.

I now begin to remember some days that my wife will be complaining about cost of things but I didnt know its this serious.

May God help us in this country.

Except our nation is an islamic one, no religious law should be above the nations law. If the nations law, criminalizes killing, even if your god comes appear to you and ask you keel someone, its against the law and you will be purnished accordingly.

I use to have it in mind that I wont get married, But the day I met my wife in the bank, sometime inside me melted. That was how I eneded up marrying, four years now no issue.

As a man keep providing. Try and provide without the expectation of recieving help from your wife. If she does, good and fine.

As a lady try and take care of the home without expecting help from the man, if he does, good and fine.

Till today, am still having that feeling that if I wasn't there the second time, only Gid knows what would have happened. Cos she seems like she's drifting away.

Its almost 4 months since bandits kidnapped over 140 people from Kwara State. Those people are still in captivity and everyone have moved on. No one is talking about them. I saw a video released by the bandits where they claimed to have converted them to Islam. DSS wont track that video now.

Its getting to a year since bandits in Kaduna kidnapped an Anglican Rev and his family. The Rev lost his life and photos of his wife and daughter under severe distress was released by the bandits. Yet every Nigerian moved on.

This is almost the 5th time that a military general will die in active combat, under a circumstance that shows lack of political will to clear these terrorist, yet every other Nigerian moved on.

Daily basis, we are hearing of villages coming under attack by bandits and BH inflicting mass casualties on the villagers, yet Nigerians dont care.

Surprisingly, the only thing we care about is the up coming election, which tribe or religion will rule Nigeria, all we care about is entertainment and celebrities that sell their body on the internet.

Sooner than expected, bandits and BH will start taking over states just as they have taken over some LGAs.

The nation is gradual going down, but non of us is serious to ensure that such doesnt happen.

Any day that passes by without bringing insecurity to a stop in nigeria is another chance given to bandits and BH to get more arms, recruit more soldiers and take over more territory.
