The 1-2m some people earn as monthly salary are what some business men make in a week or less. Some make that in a day or 2. Why you need to learn from someone is so that you will understand the basics and within that 2 years of learning, you would have made friends with some Customers who will patronise you when you start. That alone is enough push to greater heights. For those of you who say they need to work so that they can generate enough capital to start business. It's not always that easy as most of the time, the salary you are been paid will just be enough for your daily leaving, except like I said before, you got a work in a multinational company that pays above 700k monthly. |
When you get a job that pays below that, you maybe feeling comfortable when you are still single but after marriage, that's when you begin to feel the pressure. And to make the matters worse, most Nigerian company don't offer clear career growths. They just keep their staff on same level and salary for 5 to 10years. Inflation alone will erode your salary. I started working almost 10 years ago, I have moved from earning in 5 digits to earning just a little bit short of 7 digits. Truly truly, I have grown well and I thank God for that, but for me to achieve this massive growth that I have made, I have to be leaving on budget monthly. Even currently, I still leave on budget. Then when I compare myself to my friends who entered business around that 10years ago, I am no where near them. In fact in terms of networth they are like 10x more than me. Currently am trying to set up a business, because of the nature of my work, I dont have time to learn under someone. Because of family, I can't unanimously resign from work to learn under someone. I have been trying few things and failing, but in each failure I learn and gather experience, soon I will open a physical location as the few am doing without a location have been progressing. These factors, family, time and probability of failure is why you need to learn a trade while you are still under the cover of your parent/guardian. |
This piece that am writing is for parents, jambites and young graduates. Read and learn from my experience. When we were growing, all we wanted was to go to school, graduate and get a job. Then we thought that getting a job was the ultimate. Now I have realised that is all just for fancy. Having a job that pays you at the end of everything is not a good thing to do for long. I don't want to beat around the bus, let me go straight to the point. To parents... Kindly send your children to learn trade from established business men. If you have the resource, you can send them to spend 2-3 years learning the trade, then you use your money to establish them. But if you don't have the resource allow them spend the usual 7-8 years so that their oga can settle and establish them. To jambites... Instead writing jamb and running from one university to another writing aptitude test, just tell your parent to connect you to someone you can learn a trade from. You can even go and do the search yourself, be humble and learn the trade. When you have established, you can start your tertiary education by doing part time, online or going through open university. To graduates... My dear friends, before or after service, go and learn a trade, learn hand work like mechanic, electricians, tillers, chef. Learn it and be the boss of yourself. Learn it now that you are still under the cover of your parents. So as you are learning and failing, your parents are there to feed and house you. In fact I will strongly advice you learn how to fix electrical machines and motors. Now that Nigerians are gradually moving into electric vehicles, now is the time to learn as soon the mechanics would be hot cakes. Except you got a job in a multinational company where the starting pay is minimum of 700k to 1.5m, it's not worth the stress to be a worker. |
What is this country turning into... Soludo should better punish those behind these acts. If they can do this to female corp members. You can imagine what they are doing to innocent citizens. |
There are two major groups terrorising the people of SE. 1)UGM 2) Nigerian security forces. Both soldiers and police. Security men will claim to arrest you, but in the actual sense, they are kidnapping you. If you fail to pay ransom, you might not make it out. They break into your house or pick you along the road, or in a bar/club or kidnap you while driving. This are mostly rampant in imo and Anambra. |
First class and 2.1 doesn't guarantee that you will get a job easily. But it will greatly push you ahead. Truly being a Virgin doesn't guarantee a successful marriage, but it will aid your chastity in marriage. That assertion that 99% of virgin aren't successful in marriage is highly fallacious. They are just trying to make the non virgin feel better. My dear sisters reading this... Maintain yourself till marriage. Sxx is overrated. Nothing special about sxx |
This FCC needs to be scrapped... Employment should be on merit and not to satisfy all regions. |
Mrexcell:You see why christianity is becoming a lauhing stock. Lets assume you see this pastor in a club smoking wiid and rocking naked ladies. What will you say? After all there is no where in the bible that says we shouldnt go to party. |
Am doubting the source of this message. Catholic bishops cant say things like this. Modify... This statement coming from a christian leader is not a good thing to say. |
Definitely paid internet warriors... The light improvements is mostly for people on band A and B. Band C downwards no get light. |
The question should be... Is the man really a pastor, or just catching cruise. Cos real men of God knows that things like this, even though is ok, they shouldn't be found doing it. Where is the modesty. |
This country is something else. Even the insecurity alone is enough to render one homeless how much more out of school.. Govt should tackle underlying issues first... before facing secondary issues. More loans for looting. |
If only buhari didn't contest and allowed GEJ to continue, by now our nation would have gone far. He came in and terminated the machineries who were fighting and clearing boko haram. Also he was part of those who brought bandits to wreck on the nation should he lose election. Without him, our nation would have been a little bit better than what it is today. Nothing like hero. |
gidgiddy:We are the we. You should better fight for separation of this country. |
I hope we all are seeing what the army are doing in the southern part of the country, especially SE and SS. Despite the fact that there is almost a full blown war in the north and just few crisis in the south, the army still deployed it's massive troops in the south entering villages and disturbing its peace. The amount of check points in the south is so so alarming, yet the north that have bandits issue are left unchecked. The only way to fully salvage Nigeria is for Nigeria to divide, so that everyone can protect his country. If we can't divide, then the country should go on full regional with each region controlling their security. This is to make sure that the security are serious in their jobs. Ask yourself, why is it that most commissioners of police in the south are notherners, even in the north, same northerners. But if you go and look into police high ranking officers, you will see officers from states across Nigeria who are capable of being commissioners of police, yet they won't be made commissioners in their own state. They are usually posted to force HQ or head one special position. Why can't the high ranking southerners be commissioners in their own state. The north knows what they are doing and until they have Nigeria at their feet, they won't stop and this can only be achieved by the same southerners who will sell their land for a plate of rice. Let the south be wise. |
A lot of things he did on Kaduna, southern Kaduna people might not near anywhere close to gov house even in 10 years time. He made those statements publicly, yet he's out here preaching fake love of coalition to unseat tinubu and they have gotten the tools on the hands of willing southern who prefer their pockets than the life of their people. When northern politicians are ready to sacrifice their own people just to grab power, nothing good will come out of it. For the 8 years that buhari ruled Nigeria, after they have gang up and unseat a good president in the person of Jonathan, they are back trying to fight tinubu because he doesn't dance to their tune. They are claiming tinubu is not ruling Nigeria well, but when buhari was in power, did they complain. Did any of them challenged buhari. Didn't the economy started getting bad under buhari. So why the sudden show of love for Nigerians now. One thing is certain, tinubu might not be handling Nigeria well, but he's is definitely dismantling some of the holds the evil northerners have on Nigeria and that's their annoyance. Let the south not make any mistake and join this northerners against tinubu now. If anyone in the south wants to contest in the next election, let him come out alone and not in coalition with this evil people up north. I never for once expected obi to be part of this coalition, he should have remained in LP or move to another independent party away from this coalition. Look at bashir el rufai, despite all he said against obi and against the south, he is now forming fake love. Let the south not fall for it. If there is no other competent southerner who can challenge tinubu and win on his own, then let tinubu complete his 8 years. |
Greetings to you all. I come in peace, but I know I will be insulted and called names. But that's not my problem. Now straight to the point. The south should not fall for any form of fake alliance with the north in trying to unseat tinubu. Especially if the alliance involves el rufai and atiku. Thats fake love that they are showing. The majority of the southerners are normal people, they just want to leave good life and enjoy in peace, hence the crave for good governance. But majority of the northerners aren't normal, to them leadership and governance is domination and conquering. This is especially fueled by their religion. The north wants to be in total control of this nation so as to fully propagate their religious agenda. It is because tinubu is not driving towards that agenda that is why you are seeing the northerners falling away from him including the vice president. Imagine el rufai of all people coming out to preach message of good governance to us. The north doesn't care about good governance, all they want is domination. Am sure you guys have seen the video of el rufai talking about what he did in Kaduna state. Before he became a governor, Kaduna state runs like Nigeria. They usually have Muslim gov/Christian deputy and vice versa, till the coming of el rufai. He made sure that no key or sensitive position is held by a Christian in that state. Let's not even talk about how local kings in southern Kaduna were displaced in favour of emirs. TBC. |
If Peter Obi agree to become VP.. Then he's no different from any other politicians fighting for his pocket. If he can't get the ticket, then let him try another party. Please take a moment to write a quality post with at least 40 characters. This will make the forum more interesting for everyone. |
Just like in NFF, Una don do her strong thing which gave her no option than to change side. About a month ago, some of the falcon ladies were complaining of corruption and ill treatment. This country is something else. |
If you are still in Nigeria... Position yourself in such a way that you won't be kidnapped. If your area is risky, kindly relocate. Avoid traveling. If you must travel, use flight. If you can't afford flight, whatever you are going there for, use zoom to meet those people. If you want to pick up anything, way bill it. Avoid show off, late night. Even if you have the money to pay for ransom, you might not survive it. Even if you do, the trauma is not something to wish on your enemy. |
Is it that the place is submerged in the second pix abi the flood washed away houses along that path. |
We know... No need to comment. |
But wait o... Why is the wife of an army general having a soldier as aide. What is her office to the nation. If she needs an aid, can't a civilian do it. So where personnel that we pay are ending up... As maid to people's wife. This nation is truly gone. |
AntiChristian:Now judging by your response, you guys are making it mandatory for everyone to fast. Why should there be compulsion in religion. I don't really know where this happened, i mean where Islamic law is forced on indigenes by immigrants. Usually the Islamic law is used by the immigrants and among themselves. But ultimately we want the same paradise for the locals.Go look at what is happening in UK and other European countries that accepted migrant Muslims. Infact it's because of the Muslims that UK indigenes are clamouring for migrants to be deported.[/quote] What does speaking up do? What is appropriate is to educate ourselves particularly our kids in the best way! And what you call "Lots of Muslims" are still minute in percentages of Muslims. The vast majority of Muslims are silent on the actions of terrorist who commit crime against humanity using the name of Islam... Since the reputation of your religion is at stake, the out cry against such should have been high to dissociate islam from terrorism. But no... Majority are just silent. ECOWAS can't influence Islam. Even ECOWAS can't influence a miliatary state like Burkina Faso, Republic of Niger and co. Blasphemy laws are well established in Islam and only a Shariah court judge could make the final pronouncement in its case!Am trying to understand why should there be a death penalty on someone for insulting your prophet. When we ask, you all will say that it's not in your holy book, that those doing it don't follow the teachings. But the body language of virtually all Muslims supports death penalty for insults of your prophet. |
If you follow this man on Facebook... You will know that this his death is likely orchestrated than an accident. |
When we say we ibos are more Nigerian than any other tribe, they think we are lying. Anywhere we go we try to integrate ourselves into that society and make it better. See another evidence up there. In some regions, we go there use our money buy lands and build, yet those who go there, and collect the indigenous land forcefully are more loved than those who pay for it with their money. |
The earlier Africa form a coalition to defeat this ideology the better... If not, one by one, each country will fall to terrorism. |
Even in Kano, some days there will be no network at all. I use to think the SIM spoilt. |
At this rate, a time will come, it will not only be South easterners that don't want to join the military, the whole Nigerian youth will not want to join the army due to it's uselessness now |
mightyhaze:Those soldiers didn't just die from gun battle. They were caught and held for some time, yet there was no back up. The terrorist took their time and loot the armory, yet the our military didn't seem it fit to send in the air force immediately to destroy everyone and everything their to ensure that those weapons didn't get into their hands. I weep for this nation. |
