I came across this Facebook post this evening and it reminded me of my ex.

In her words she wanted to get married before this year runs out.

You have a solid point. You literally are talking about trade and commerce. However, there are many sectors to an economy. There're health sector, banking sector, manufacturing sector, logistics, mining sector, among others. These sectors need manpower that can only be filled by those with education and vocational skills.

So, let people pursue their desired dreams.

All these sectors you mentioned in Nigeria, only few pays well for someone to leave a comfortable life, leaving the remaining ones who are working to be managing monthly in month out.

You might be happy to have found the job of your dream, but at the long run when family have arrived and expenses are waiting, you will discover that this life is not all about chasing the job of your dream when there are bills to pay.

Also if you are working and you retire... What are you leaving for your children. Unlike those who have a striving business that can be used as a stepping stone for their children.
