I seriously don't understand this govt... The other day, they sent a pos operator to 20 years jail time for working with terrorist.

But the main terrorists are been giving amnesty.

I once told a friend that let the govt withdraw the military, allow mobile police, civil defence and hunters to tackle kidnapping. They will achieve more success than the army.

Deep down a good and rational Muslims knows that their religion lacks humanity. Are the senators incharge of security their constituency. Are they the ones that appoint service cheifs of the nations. Sometimes, thing well before you talk.

Every sane nigeria need to act and shake this govt. This is not about tinubu or apc. This is about nigeria. If you are responsible to secure the nation, then do it. If you cant secure the nation as a leader, then give way for someone who can. Its that simple.

If a US Army general is kidnapped (whether retired or active) and his video of him begging is released.(I know the US army won't even wait till the bandits release video)

I can bet that no matter the location of where the general is held. They US army will gather all they have to ensure they rescue him dead or alive.

I once watched a documentary where a US pilot crash land in an Taliban controlled territory. In a bid to rescue just the pilot, the US army lost about 25 soldiers and 2 Chinook helicopters. At some point they don't even whether the pilot is alive or not, all they just needed was to get his body.

This is what a military should be like, if you mess with them, you get instant punishment.

But take a look at Nigeria army. Bandits will dislodge a base and use the base as their camp, instead of the military to retake the base back, they will withdraw. Bandits will kidnap soldiers and exekute them on camera and the military will move on as if nothing happened.

Now they are taking generals and nothing is happening.

One day, they might take chief of defence staff and the army will still not react. It's very obvious that the Nigeria army is just meant to be combat ready when it's matters of southern civilians.

There is something that I dont understand.

We have the following list of security agencies...

NN
NAF
NPF
NSCDC
*Immigration and Custom.
Then we have "National Intelligence Agency" and we have "Office of National Security Adviser".

Lets forget about every other insecurity issues happening around the nation, lets just use Oyo kidnapping as a case study.

School children were kidnapped by bandits.
There was a public outcry about the issue and almost everyone in Nigeria have heard about it.
The bandits have communicated to the govt and made their demands.
The bandits have released videos and in that video, we can see that the bandits are still within the forests in southern Nigeria.
Its not like they have taken the victim out of Nigeria and speaking off, Oyo state is not a border town for us to assume that the bandits came in from another country to strike.

The big question is, how come none of these our agencies have the expertise or the know how to track and arrest the bandits or rescue the hostages.

Why is there not a sign of urgency from the presidency and security heads to immediately bring the situation under control.

WHy is everyone whose responsibility is to ensure that Nigerians are safe acting as though nothing is happening in our nation.


No one is safe again in this nation and its obvious that we are just on our own, our govt are not there to help us.
