Travel / Re: Aerial Footage, Devastating Flood In Maiduguri by Rich4god(m): 8:26am On Sep 14
This Maiduguri flood won't have been these bad if our agencies were to be proactive.

That dam that broke probably have been showing sign long before now.

And if the dam broke due to excess pressure as a result of excess rain, then an earlier control release of water would have saved the situation. Even if the flood still happen, it won't be this bad.

Right now, we all know that states down south will get flooded soon, watch and see, the govt won't do anything till the flood start. Even to evacuate resident in danger zone, they won't do it.

Crime / Re: Intending Tenant Disappears With Two Osun Children by Rich4god(m): 5:06am On Sep 13
As Nigeria bad reach people still trust strangers.

I can understand if the woman have stayed in the compound for up to a week, maybe the neighbours security consciousness have relaxed. But person just pack and under 4 hours you are allowing your kids to play with the person in this current Nigeria. This is carelessness on the part of the parent.

Back in early 2000s children of 10 years and below can comfortably trek for more than 3-5km while going to school without any adult escorting them, even strangers will be helping the children to cross roads and jump gutters. That time things aren't this bad. But now, it's foolish for a parent to leave a child in the hands of a stranger.

Religious things like this are extremely hard to scientifically explain no need to call it fake if u don't believe it there are cases that are even more stranger than this one. There's a Catholic nun in enugu that bleeds from her hands, legs and eyes during Easter how do science explain that?

Did you see the nun yourself.

Family / Re: Dear Nairaland Men, What's Your Thought On This 3 Scenario. by Rich4god(m): 4:19pm On Aug 03
Additional info.
House expenses includes rent, feeding, baby food and other house related expenses.

In the 3 scenario, we did not take into account if the wife is contributing to the household or not, we are just assuming she isn't bringing in anything, so dont factor in that in your judgement.
Family / Re: Dear Nairaland Men, What's Your Thought On This 3 Scenario. by Rich4god(m): 4:18pm On Aug 03
Scenario 3
The man earns about 320k monthly. House expenses and transport takes about 160k. The man sends 40k to his parents, keeps 20k in a children account for their baby and saves 100k.

The wife works in a place where she's paid 60k

Question - How much should the man give to his wife for upkeep.
Family / Re: Dear Nairaland Men, What's Your Thought On This 3 Scenario. by Rich4god(m): 4:17pm On Aug 03
Scenario 2
The man earns about 150k and the wife does a part time job that gives her 20k monthly.

House expenses and the man's transport consumes like 80k. The man sends 20k to his people and saves 50k for future use.

Question - How much should the man give his wife for monthly upkeep.
Family / Re: Dear Nairaland Men, What's Your Thought On This 3 Scenario. by Rich4god(m): 4:17pm On Aug 03
Scenario 1
The man earns about 100k in a month and the wife is not working at all. The house expenses and the man's transport to work consume 99.9% of his income.
Question - Out of the man's income, how much should he give to his wife for her upkeep.

See the type of Christians we have these days.

You mercilessly bear up a child and you have the mind to call for prayers so that the person you beat out of wickedness will get well.

SMH... This is what we have when all what the church preaches now is miracle miracle miracle.

Ogbeni, second month. How far?

Last month I didn't even use up to 6gb. My wife travelled for the greater part of the month and like I said earlier my work doesn't give me time to watch TV. So the advantage is that, I have the opportunity of watching something anytime am free within been tied to a monthly subscription.

If am on a paid TV, it's either I subscribed for the full month, which is a waste as I didn't even watch much or I didn't subscribe and hence have no means of watching anything at all.

Nigerians are simple to rule, probably that's why they take us for granted.

All we just want from the govt is good roads and security. We can provide the rest for ourselves. We just need to two things to enable us do our business smoothly.

..

When they loot, where do you think they are taking the money to for safe keeping.

I wont be surprised if more than 80% of IMF and World Bank money are actually funds looted from Africa. Then they will give it to us as loan and we pay back with interest.

Nigeria is not a serious country....

We can never grow as long as we are still together. As long as the security structure of this country lies at the center, this menace won't stop.

Let the locals try to mobilize against the heardmen then see the military in action.

The earlier we share this nation, the better for people of the south.

Let the south handle their own security with all seriousness.

Let's allow those who want to be playing politics with the lives of their citizens to continue doing so.

Nigeria is bleeding... But all what we care about is religious and ethnic bashing.

Last 2 weeks a guy who was selling indomie escaped from kidnappers on his way from the north to Kogi to see the parent of his fiancée. Unfortunately, his brother travelling with him was kidnapped. He struggled to get 8m to go and release his brother, only for the bandit to kill him after delivering the ransom. Though the brother was released.

On another day in Enugu, a guy and his brother were attacked just because their bike hit a cow that jumped into their pathway unfortunately, only one of the brother survived the attack.

Citizens are dying daily from insecurities but all that is on the lips of the average southerner is religious and ethnicity.

Shame on us all.

Politics / Re: World Bank Doubts CBN’s Ability To Curb Inflation Employing Rate Hikes by Rich4god(m): 8:57pm On Jun 13
Some things to do to curb inflation.

-Let tinubu come out and say that subsidy is back and that naira will be defended and pegged at 900/$. Even if they won't do it, there is what is called market sentiment, same way everything went south the moment tinubu said "subsidy is gone" things will get back a bit.... Or if possible, peg the dollar to a particular price, so that investors can make budget with more than 50% accuracy.

-Let the govt subsidize energy for some key industries. That will help them stay at float.

-Do everything possible to clear out bandits stopping our farmers from going back to farm.

-Open land borders to neighbouring countries so that food particular could be more competitive in terms of price.

Most of our inflation is caused by FX fluctuations and inability to produce farm foods like before.

Using monetary policy and inflation rates won't work as Nigeria is not running a credit economy.

Religion / Re: When Same-Sex Marriages Are Performed In Your Church (Photos] by Rich4god(m): 11:10am On Jun 09
jesusjnr2020:
No need for any long talk. It made much news, even some catholic adherents revolted to the development, because it was an aberration from the normal or acceptable practice.

And please don't even bring in Jesus into this conversation because there's no where Jesus blessed or gave approval for sinners to be blessed in his church, talkless of workers of abominations as homosexuals etc. Even the woman that was caught in the act of adultery, Jesus despite not condemning her, told her to stop sinning. That's what your pope ought to do if he were truly of God instead of approving the blessing of same-sex unions.

So this is not about condemnation but speaking the truth to sinners and workers of abomination as Jesus would if He were here.

At least i've proven to you that your pope indeed approved of such, so you're the one that needs to get your facts right and stop dwelling on personal bias towards your pope and church.

Forget all these headlines you are quoting. Show us documents from the church that approves same sex marriage and I will show you the document that re-emphasize the ban of same sex marriage.

Stop ethno-religio-tribal bigotic comment please. Anywhere you see people are killed in numbers like this, it means the area is sitting on top of precious mineral resources that the western Neo-colonialist are interested in.
The internal collaborators now recruits what we called bandits to unleash this carnage we are seeing today. The only fault the people has is that GOD ALMIGHTY bless them with the minerals.
It can happen to any community as far as the government is a puppet and colony to these western countries..
Pity the north or the people.

Pity the north ke... The question should be, does the north pity themself. If the president were to be a christian, do you think the northern people and their leaders will be this quiet.

When soldiers clashed with Shiite in Zaria during GEJ regime, El Rufai, Buhari and other northerners were accusing GEJ of using federal might to commit genocide against the north. But when Buhari and El Rufai came to power, they used same federal might to unleash hell on shiite, no one from the north said anything.

Look here, the North is their own problem and they alone can stop all these rubbish.
