October Devotion: Day 17 -

Today the 17th day of
October, we're praying for all those who are looking for life partners

Novena Prayer :

O God, infinite beauty. Wretched as we are, we
approach in humility your throne, with
thanksgiving and petition. Thanksgiving for the
numerous mercies received from you, and petition
for the many needs that weigh heavily on us. Heal
our Nation, and Look kindly upon our
prayers, for all those who are looking for life partners esp those that are ready, but lack the resource needed to support a home , and of
mine(you may add yours), through
the merits of the passion of your son, our Lord
Jesus Christ. Pray for us dearest mother Mary, as
we offer you this five decades; as a bouquet of
roses, with eyes filled with hope and filial love.
Amen.
Most Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit- I
adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most
precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus
Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world,
in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and
indifference whereby He is offended. And through
the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and
the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the
conversion of poor sinners. Amen.
*Please say the five decades of the Rosary today
either individually or in a group; either in bits or
whole.

I think you are talking of west bank here
Nope... I talking about Gaza. Israeli troops are there, and they intermittently clash with the locals. Even today, more IDF were sent to there in preparation for the day of rage.

Israel is not occupying Gaza, in fact Israel completely withdrew from Gaza in 2005 except you are talking of the blockade they put in place after Hamas took over the leadership of Gaza.
Because of the Hamas, Israeli troops are still in Gaza. That's why there is always clashes between them and Gazans.

I am not against them having a place of worship but why build their 3rd holiest site on the temple mount knowing too well what that place mean to the jews.
Well am not defending any party here. But since one have power, one can do whatever he or she likes. Cos am pretty sure they never thought that one day, they will loose grip of it.

Now imagine a group of people being restricted from visiting their holiest site so that another group can maintain the status quo of their 3rd holiest site.

*sounds crazy*
The general problem now is Israeli occupation of Gaza and the numerous terrorist cells that are springing up in Palestine/Gaza. When Jerusalem was under Muslim control, no body was barred from the holy Land, but non Muslims got to pay fine.

And prior to the Gaza crisis, no religion was barred from accessing their holy land.

And to think there was no mosque in Jerusalem when the guy did his midnight flight neither did he ever implied he flew to jerusalem yet they came and built a mosque so many years later and named it Al-aqsa just to cause trouble.
lol.... it's not about causing trouble. It might be our of necessity/development. You know, they were once in control of Jerusalem for almost 6 century. So, the will definitely need a place of worship.

Cus the so called holy sites was used and built by Jews.
Not all... The vast majority were built by Christians. Just the temple of Jerusalem that am sure was built by Jews.

Therefore the Christian books never said those sites should be a holy site or their should be pilgrimage their.
Apart from the temple of Jerusalem, I don't think there is any other "holy site" described or mentioned in the bible. Others where built by the "not-so-early Christians and then it turned into a pilgrim site.

Well, that will be a story for another day. But just understand, assuming the crusaders didn't reclaim Jerusalem, that place would have been under their full custody, and of course, a holy site to them since some of the people they consider prophets did live in Jerusalem.

You last paragraph sha... Things have changed na. Before, if the crusader wanted to and have the strength, they can invade mecca/Medina... Then the people wey strong pass go win. Cos no UN to regulate anything.

But now such fight isn't possible except the type that ISIS are doing now, which doesn't have the support of the entire Muslim.
Christianity Etc › Re: Jerusalem The Holiest City In The World by Rich4god(m):
The holy site originally belong to the Jews.... After the ressurection of Christ, Christians now call some prominent sites that are associated with Christ "holy" later on made them a place of pilgrimage... Eg is the site of nativity, the tomb, the site of ascension, transfiguration etc.... Along the line, the Islamic jihadist conquered jerusalem, destroyed some of those site and converted others to mosque. Then came crusaders and the knight templars that sacked the jihadist. But there was some little trouble among the Christians, due to denomination, so the muslims didnt really leave. And thats why all 3 have a place in the city of jerusalem. Am not a historian, but something close to this is what happened.
plappville:
What are the historical reasons that make each of these religions to have a holy site on the Temple mount?
Is there the word Jerusalem in each of thier book.Torah, bible and koran? Please share what you know. Thank you.

It's simple, the next time armed robbers come to your street, stand alone and fight. Lets see if you would come home safely, you think fighting barbaric and illiterate people is that easy!
Maybe you haven't seen the level of super illiteracy exhibited amongst this people, just pay a visit to inner kanuri villages, you may nearly ask God questions. Now think about converting them, and giving them guns and teaching illiterate people that they should fight for a s*tupid cause. Then you would know the cause our brothers in the army go thru.
People who haven't seen 10,000 naira before and you bring it to their midst, ha! E no go easy, them go kill person throway!
Forget about the backward of Kanuris... Its their ideology. Some of the northern muslims will pick up arms and kill anyone for the sake of there religion. So get that.

Talking about fighting alone. The army is an organized body, fully equipped and well trained with tactics to defend its territory and defeat its opponent. In a bid to defeat the Biafrans, the NA did "kill any moving thing in present day Asaba." In a bid to defeat its enemies, some of the arab dictators have used chemical weapons to weapon the enemy forces.

In our case, since BH have sacked most communities and now living in their houses. The NA with its regional allies can secure the borders and kill any thing that moves withing that perimeter. I know its not easy as am saying it, but it will go a long way in weakening their strength.

I am 100% sure its about "religion" and Power!
Its about land and power... Gaza/Pakistan is a mixture of muslims and christians. Even, in hte last xmas, christians from gaza where denied entrance into the Church of Nativity in holy land. So you see. Except if you will tell me its a fight betwwen the jews and other religions.

70% of this war was caused by false doctrines and propaganda. The government is not serious until they get a daily slot in BBC Hausa criticizing Boko Haram and sanitizing the public for at least an hour daily. Wars are mostly fought psychologically and not physically. Get imam's who preach contrary to Boko haram preaching on the radio show daily and make the evil they have done a daily news. Boko haram will die a natural death very quickly
And you think that their top financiers will allow this.
