When Afenifere backstabbed Tinubu by forming alliance with Obasanjo, Tinubu pulled out of Afenifere and formed Action Congress single handedly. Today, Tinubu is in control of five of the six traditional Yoruba States in addition to Kwara, Kogi and Edo while Afenifere is in still trying to have a say in only one (Oyo).
