Some people are technology freaks and may want to feel it first hand. That is acceptable. |
addictiv: you hit the nail with a sledge hammer. women in most cases have proven themselves to be handicapped in areas that can put them at par with men. I have engaged in series of mind challenging discussions with a lot of women even older ones and in most cases end up disappointed. However i have concluded that's the way they are , and in no way care they equal to men. There was a part when i clearly stated that it is true that some women may not be as capable as men to handle some things but in no way can that be all the women in the world. At least, just hear her out first. |
dechandel: I was once made head of a group project in my dept*sighs* We can only try sister. Only try. |
Tymax:Exactly. Let all s.exual bias from decision making processes. Let the best ideas win. |
AfricanApple: u said u are not a feminist but don't worry, someone will soon come here and shout FEMINIST.FEMINIST: advocating social, political, legal, and economic rights for women equal or above those of men. ME: Advocating that everyone should be respected and treated with dignity. |
lirusehn:You know exactly what am talking about. |
In my somewhat young life, I have been opportuned several times to serve in various committees and boards in different capacities. Most times, I have either been the only female representative or one of the few female representatives of such committees or boards. I have noticed, over time, that men do not mostly appreciate the contributions of women in strong matters except it is related to social, food or entertainment. The context of not appreciating here does not mean shouting down at the ladies or sharply hushing them up. No. Of course, we are in the 21st century and ladies should not be treated that way. Rather, what they do in their “presumed” effort to recognize the female folks is to subtly pretend to listen, or ignore their comments totally. The expression on their faces would read “Sweety, we have heard you, can we move on please? Thanks love.” They see women as not capable to think up world changing ideas. They see women as not able to make valid inputs to decisions. So, they go ahead to patronize them, so they can remain calm and be on their side. Let your presence be seen but its effects not be felt. Now, I realize that true to the popular male assertions, some female folks can appear vain, shallow and uninformed (some men are that way too). This assertion should in no way be generalized both amongst males and females especially with males since they are more guilty of this offense. I am not a feminist in any way. I am not advocating that females be placed above males. No. All I ask is that both men and women respect each other based on what we have to offer. Our brains may be wired differently, our emotional levels may vary, but everybody has something to offer, females inclusive, and we all should be heard. Though all my experiences are based on my university experience, I am sure the situation is not much different outside the university. So, gentlemen, let us respect those ladies that work with us, give them the chance to speak and listen attentively. And ladies, let us try as much as we can to develop ourselves mentally so when we are in sensitive positions, our opinions would actually make so much sense that we cannot be ignored. #peace. |
Atmmachine: My Daughter.=== The End. === I don't wanna have an e-argument with anyone. You inclusive. Life is just too short. |
Atmmachine: I'm blind.Oh! Silly boy. If you think am going to enter that war of what it is and what it is not, think again. Some of us actually have real lives to live. Now, run along and make something out of your life. Have a beautiful Monday. |
Nothing the US nation does is for free. The question is: At what cost? |
franugo: haters always gon be hating. Na ur money p-babas, taste am anyhow u want.Your definition of hating needs readjustment. |
yuzjet: LMFAO! U killed it. She's on a sugar rush!Cant you speak for yourself? |

Tallesty1: yeaThat is good. |
Kirinwa: Girls if a guy finds you attractive and wants to get down with you. Why do you tell him you are not a hoe when you can comfortably open legs for another guy.Am confused about it. Let's talk abt it.Your question is not quite clear though. |
Tallesty1: 50-50 is impossible but 70-30 or may 60-40 is attainable. You know men and women can never be equal right? |
Tallesty1: .This can only happen when men and women become truly equal. Which is like...never? |
marieolae: don't weep for me. Money is a good thing. Are you not planning to make YOUR own money? Or you are not confident in yourself to go that far if you really want to? |
MRbrownJAY: you CANNOT fight insecurity...... you just CANT. he has to work out his issues by himself and grow out of them. this man should TRUST his lady to act right and not ENFORCE her to live a miserable life just to accommodate his low self essteem.Your assertion on not fighting insecurity is a quite new and insightful. hmmm. |
MRbrownJAY: you boyfriend is insecure.....and sadly, there is no point going through life walking on eggshell to satisfy your partner's insecurities.... give him an ultimatum and DROP HIM LIKE HE WAS HOT of he doesnt change his ways.So there is no place for fighting for a relationship? |
MrCork: ....are u light skin? What does that have to do with anything? |
Naijavibz: actually you arnt yhe only person reading ooLol. The thing is that I have 2 exams today. Been reading since yesterday and I just cant stop. Am actually begging for sleep. |
Okay. A friend of mine is in a dilemma and I want to ask the good people of Nairaland to help her out. In her words... Before I started dating my boyfriend (Kene), I was already friends with his bestfriend (James). Now we are dating and Kene feels insecure because of my relationship with the James. The bestfriend's girlfriend is also a little threatened. But James I are also business partners and spend some time together doing strictly business. All attempts to explain the whole thing to Kene is failing as he doesn't see much reason to the explanation. I love my boyfriend and I don't wanna lose him. What should I do? |
Naijavibz: Well the good news is that she won the award she went for...Of course she would win. and if it doesn't help me memorize this course am reading now, it ain't good news. |
My own wahala is not even with Kim sef. Its with the number of younger ones that now look up to her as a role model of some sorts. I think she should take that role a little bit more seriously and not pass off the wrong signals anymore. Leme just hear any of my younger ones call her a model first. You will receive the lecture of your life, coupledwith some physical touch depending on the level of enchantment. |
Sure spray is sure for me. |
Elkewwty:So you mean that if he is born again, he would be good in bed? Sister, both you and your bf has got it twisted. |
Emmafrancis: Goodluck has given some silly peopLe the impetus to talk any rubbish their sick brain can think of. He has evidence and he is still keepin it to he self, only to tell us this? If he has evidence then show us.Your words couldn't be truer. |

Plus, it would only breed mediocrity.
Isn't this the highest point of illiteracy and ignorance?
