You are the realest dude..... Though it tarries, patiently wait for it because it will surely come.
Please there are many people on this thread looking for a way out with ielts, therefore, you will surely be a blessing.
I have reserved 0.5 for your PPR script for your voluntary service.
Torkwase1: Good evening house. Been away for a looooong time after getting AOR, December 11. Waiting for updates was tortuous, and following Nairaland appeared to be a bigger torment for my impatient mind. I decided to switch off everything concerning Canada and face my work. Anyway, I still havent received PPR, but somehow my mind is at ease now. Please contact me if you need any help with your IELTS, especially in writing and speaking. Let me be useful to the house! |

Having your maiden name on your ielts and wes will not affect you in any way. you would be required to state a previous name if you had any and you'll also be required to provide all the change of name documents which includes the newspaper publication and affidavit. I believe this is after you have legalize your union.Mamabigboy: Good evening all. I trust we are doing fine. My hubby and I got married traditionally 5years ago, and we are also planing to legalise the union at a registry next month. We are expecting our eca and about to sit for ielts. My questions go thus: As I still bear my maiden name as at the time of wes and ielts, will this not affect the whole process? At what point will my change of name doc be required? Thank you. |

If the result remains unchanged, then you will receive the old TRFcharlione: Please I requested for EOR after I scored 8.5, 7,7,7.5 in my first IELTS exam. I got notification that it is ready and sent someone there. After looking for it for a while, they gave him the same IELTS result I have earlier received and which I sent back to them along with my EOR request form. Please those who have done EOR should help confirm if this is normal or they gave him the wrong result? It seems they are very disorganized at the British Council PH office. Can the EOR result be the same IELTS result i previously received bearing the same date etc. |

Congratulations @whiteshirtsonly. Your story and timeline is inspiring and it is also exciting to see a ghost/silent reader come out to share their PPR story.
@ the bolded confirms what I keep telling people close to me that we are our own problem in Nigeria. Every average man is either corrupt or too greedy.
@Ladymarshall, just be ready to become bony since you are skinny already .
Great Job on your PPR write up, you practically touched every part of it. Your determination came through and you didn’t hesitate to share it with the world so I will be scoring you 8.7/10 so you can dash the 0.3 out to the custom officers on your way out in July.
Determination and perseverance is the soul of this Canada immigration thing.
I hereby celebrate with your family for this great feat and also thanking them for their support.Whiteshirtsonly: Hi all.. It's my turn to say IT'S PPR Promised my self I'd share my journey through the process.
Time line: [b]Decision to jump boat, August 2017 (I just couldn't understand and cope with the way we treat ourselves in this country). - mes to see I wasn't dream (a week before that I dreamed I received my PPR in a box, but somehow I knew I was dreaming, but that gave me hope when I woke up). Called my bro to read the letter... in case I was seeing double lol THE HAPPINESS WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. Thanked God for his faithfulness, guidance and direction. I'm not very spiritual, but this PR success has changed me I called family and friends to tell them the good news.
When I got to VFS Lekki on Friday, the crowd... "Jesus! Everyone is freaking jumping ship" I thought. I got there at 10am, left at 3pm.
In other slightly unrelated news... God is the greatest, but satan been on his sh!t.... My phone fell and screen shattered, it also wouldn't stay on. Went to Saka Tinubu thinking "fix the screen and nudge the battery into place".. We know what happens with those boys, instead of spending 10k, I'm spending 30k lol I was calm... You won't see me to exploit soon. A good reminder why I decided to JUMP SHIP.
I'm leaving no later than the middle of July.
To all those, at whichever stage you're at, trust in God, have patience and it will surely end in praise. I've been waiting to say that. I would try and give advises and lend a helping hand to people asking for direction on this thread, as I have learned a great deal from you all.
Peace! |

This will not affect you at all. Work experience has its own category while qualifications and language proficiency relates together. Your 3 years experience will earn you good points in your CRS MJ888: Greetings guys. Kindly help examine this situation and respond.
I have a bachelor's degree in English language but since graduation I've worked for about 3years as a cinematographer for a media company. If I evaluate my English language Degree but my current job is different from what I studied, will this affect me when CIC is assessing my application?
Looking forward to your response and thanks. |

And the mum also thinks that life abroad is not as easy as Nigerians think it is, coupled with the financial requirements for the express entry been expensive.
Pls, for those who have idea of these things, or are in Canada, how easy is it to find a bearing, and start life, career and otherwise, especially for a single lady who knows no one in Canny, except a cousin to her friend, who she has never met. What are your opinions? The lady has already began the process, ECA in progress, and IELTS soon. |

I can only answer the first part cos I used Qlife for medicals. Treasury bills and fixed deposits certificates can suffice for POF. People have gotten PPR with it alone but for sanity and peace of mind, u can add Bank’s reference letter to itbeckycute1: Hi all, for POF, can treasury bills certificate and investment cert suffice without letter from the bank?
Also does IOM carry out med examinations on sundays? My appointment was confirmed for Sunday but I'm thinking it was an oversight from them. |

Such an amazing PPR journey and thank God for that friend of yours. One really need such true friends who can impact ones life meaningfully. Kudos to your wife and baby who supported throughout the journey to PPR and this shows that they are the true MVPs. I liked the fact that you didn’t allow the lose of your job to deter your dreams and this is such a big inspiration. If you can think it, you can do it regardless of setbacks or hindrances along the way. I would have loved to give you 11/10 but ehn, my Bosses @Raphrulz and @Ladymarshall deserves some points so I’ll give you 9.5/10 appreciating that you pointed out some salient points on POF.Masekid: [and
-3rd IELTS IDP: OCT 2018 LRSW 9, 7.5, 8, 7
I was super excited, it felt like I had gotten PPR when i saw the result. I thank God for that. Immediately I got home that day i created a profile and ultra dived into the pool.
-CRS: 460
-ITA: Nov 18 2018
OK, in this section i'd just talk about how I put my POF in order as i feel this is the only part that's not as regular and straight forward as PPC, MEDICALS, WORK REFERENCE AND EDUCATION parts and also its the part a lot of people have questions.
POF DOCUMENT ORDER PAGE 1- LOE explaining the fact the I'm using my wife's account to show POF and that the monies there are savings from both of us over the years. PAGE 2- This page showed a table for the amount needed for a family of of three and the amount we were lodging as POF and also listing the other documents attached in the pdf.
PAGE 3- An xe.com page showing the then present day conversion rate for the amount we lodged in as POF.
PAGE 4- A reference letter from my wife's bank stating all the necessary info in CIC format.
PAGE 5- An investment letter showing our FIXED DEPOSIT.
PAGE 6- A deed of assignment for the piece of land property sold.
NO BANK STATEMENTS, NO PAYSLIPS. PLEASE!! If you are showing POF in your spouse's account, please, attach a LETTER OF CONSENT FROM YOUR SPOUSE stating that he/she authorizes you to use the account. I have no idea how it skipped my mind as we eventually got an ADR for it.
-AOR: Dec 12 2018 -BIL: Jan 22 2019 -Biometrics done: Jan 24 2019 -MEP: Jan 25 2019
All the above processes from AOR to MEP were uneventful as the all came at the normal time. After, our ADR on FEB 4, then began the almighty deafening SILENCE. During the period I sent in CSEs every two weeks asking if my eligibility, criminality and security checks had started and I also called IRCC once. I got generic responses all the time.
-ADR: Feb 4 2019, To submit a consent letter from my spouse because POF was in her account. (ADR Submitted the-same day)
-Ghost update FEB 4 2019: ADR NOT APPLICABLE (NA)
-Ghost update May 25 2019: IP2
-PPR: May 28 2019, dated MAY 27. ( 5months, 2 weeks) VO: OTTAWA
I wish everyone at their different stages of the process all the best. Though it may tarry but it will surely end in praise. Don't give up!

congratulations @Dame91 on your PPR and I love the fact that you are taking this step with family (I am not being biased ooooo) This script wants to make me sleep so I will just give it 2/10 but there is room for remark ooo but not later than 3 days after PPR Dame91: To God be the glory!!
Finally PPR is upon us !!! Here's my timeline. I can't really remember some of the details now to be honest. It seems like its been a very long while.
ITA: sometime in February 2018 AOR: 24/04/2018 1st PPR: 11/09/2018 Notified CIC of my intentions to get married ADR for my husband's documents: 13/09/2018 Submited documents: 28/10/2018 ADR: 10/01/2019 PpR: 28/05/2019
I thought PPT would come in a few days.. but not was I in for a surprise Request to do medicals again: 5/03/2019 Then we waited for ppr mail to come and nothing did. I was confused and worried so I came on this platform to ask for advice. I was told to send a mail. I sent a mail to AVO and still got nothing. So yesterday morning I sent a mail to AVO again and copied Cpc_ctd_ottawa and in less than 20 minutes I got a mail in my inbox stating that I had a new mail in my CIC account. In my mind i was like what does this people want again. I was so excited to see the PPR mail and it was even dated the same day. Thanks guys for your advice. I really really appreciate it. |

Now to the real deal, I want to gladly mark this script and I will be giving you 8.99/10 for expressly taking us through your journey cmaamaa: Now the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts has been accepted by the Lord!!!
People of God its PPR
PA IELTS - Nov 2018 SA IELTS - Apr 2018 PA ECA - Sep 2018 SA ECA - Nov 2018 Profile created - 20th Dec 2018 CRS – 451 Draw Cutoff - 449 ITA - Jan 10 lt).
Since I hadn’t concluded my Masters at the time, we agreed that hubby should be the PA as he has a Masters degree. So we registered for IELTS and had 3 runs at it before he got the desired score;
1st IELTS – LSRW 7.5, 7, 7.5, 7 - July (MOD) 2nd IELTS – LSRW 7.5, 7, 5.5, 7 - Sept (MOD) 3rd IELTS – LSRW 8.5, 7, 7.5, 7 - November 1 (BC)
While hubby was trying to make IELTS we registered for WES evaluation of his UK masters. That was a breeze and was ready long before mine that commenced months before. By the time I learnt evaluation with statement of result was possible, it was around July or so and not long after there was ASUU strike. I persisted shaa and got one of the people that works in exams and record to help me which she did. After preparing my transcript, to get it signed was another war but God came through for me. Oya make una send am na… wahala come start. One story or the other every day. Anyway to God be the glory it was eventually sent. Time for verification nko, another longggg story. Today no light, gen is bad and all sorts of annoying stories. Then the woman comes one day and says “aunty why not let’s send this thing via post’? Say what My eyes bulged out of their sockets. So that is even possible? What have you been waiting for na? Madam come talk say she dey pity me cos I had spent so much. Chai I provoke no be smo!! Iziya monii? My people na 3k aunty d epp me save o. That’s how verification was sent via post and evaluation was finally concluded in November just a few days before Bae’s 3rd IELTS result came out. Come and feel the joy in our home… it was not here at all o.
We finally dived into the pool on the 20th December, 2018 hoping to get ITA with the next draw which we did.
ITA came on the 10th January. I called QLife on the 11th to book for medicals and was told the next available date was 7th March…Isi gini Called IOM and got 4th February (my birthday) and in my mind I was like so I should come and spend my birthday with you people akwaya ? Lai Lai. I dashed down to Qlife and tried every trick in the book to get a closer date but that didn’t work so we kukuma took the date like that. Medicals 7th March - QLife
• PCC was through the very pleasant inspector Moshood at 8k for both of us. • UK PCC for hubby was very straight forward. • Work experience: We submitted hubby’s Offer letters and Reference letters in IRCC format for the two jobs we were claiming points for (both in the same NOC). @newmum0615 was an MVP in ensuring we picked the correct NOC. • POF: Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund letter in IRCC format only. No statements submitted. • We attached Degree Certificates, ECA and IELTS in each of the place holders for our education. • Digital photo was taken at Studio 24 on 13th January. We got both soft and hardcopies. I’m glad we can still use the hardcopies now. • I had just gotten a new passport with change of name in January and therefore only uploaded the digital page of the new passport. Hubby uploaded the digital page and stamped pages of his. • Marriage License: Court wedding certificate • Change of Name: Court wedding certificate, NPP and Sworn affidavit
We went for our medicals on the 7th March. After we were allowed in, I quickly dashed to Stanbic IBTC office to pick up our Proof of Funds letter which we had requested for two days before and dashed back to the hospital. I had started experiencing a slight HBP a few before this time. I did not want to take meds before the medical exam because I didn’t want traces of meds in my urine. A colleague suggested garlic which I started taking…Kai it was not funny “still yet” my BP was high. The nurse that attended to us was very nice and tried to calm me down. She tried two more times and with each try it came down. She still wrote the last result in red before sending me off to the doctor. On speaking with the doctor and having another go, it finally came down to a reasonable level but the doctor still asked me to run a Creatinine test which came out ok.
We came home that day and using a sterling bank card opened solely for this purpose (for the love of exchange rate), we made our payments and submitted our application at 11:35pm.
From my experience, nothing beats a straight forward application. Except you absolutely have to, make every document as simple and straight forward as possible. No need for LOE really.
I won’t talk so much about the wait because it’s nothing compared to what a lot of other people have endured and are still enduring.
I will just leave one prayer with us “God will answer us all speedily irrespective of the time that has passed already.” We never ceased praying and being thankful for the opportunity.
Do not give up hope because God is never late. This has been my testimony since this month of May.
May the blessings go round, Amen!!! |
