Progress Photos Cont'd... Suspended Ceiling Installation and floor screeding
|
Finishing Stages Bulk heads used to mirror the deep and large sized beams supporting the slab on the existing build. At this point it was clear the floor marbles were not going to arrive the country before the intended use of the hall. A mentor,Mr.Bisi decided it was best to screed the floor with lean mix concrete that can be easily taken off when required. the plan was to screed and then have a rug laid on both areas.

gbadexy:Hi Boss; you spoke of creating a sump and also creating aprons the way a raft slab can be extended at the bottom (like heel something like a humans feet in spreading body weight). I really don't know the scenario but what u have written can help reduce water from one place into the sump and can also reduce load from an area by spreading outwards. Kudos!!! |

Greetings to everyone in the house. Egun, thanks for the mention. |
Progress Photos and report; scenario...the initial building has a roof deck before the aluminium roof which houses birds, reduced the sound effects of rainfall and also acts as thermal insulator. Now, we cannot have another slab for time constraints and we ended up using vitapur insulation which was going to do exactly what we needed, thermal insulation and helps with sound as well because of the sprayed foam. Electrical works continued,tiling of internal columns started.

Progress made; Installation Of Windows Fixing of marbles cont'd;

More progress Photos i learnt something new whilst on this project. Plastering and tiling was done almost concurrently as opposed to the more common method of plastering and rubbing so as to allow the surface to be a bit rough for adhesion of cement and tiles over it. The plastering was done and some metal fasteners were fixed( because of the weight of marble) and then the marble were adhered to the surface after the addition of cement paste as usual.

Hi Boss, I would like to know why you have double walls in some (internal)areas? |
