A close friend recently told me of a contract he was trying to get from Lagos state government, some of the state officials invited him to a private meeting on the mainland and told him they can guarantee he would get the contract provided he is ready to ball nd quote another almost 300% of the cost of the project as variation cost when he gets the approaval.....which will be for them.

Just terrible . It’s not that these things don’t occur abroad but you don’t have 80% of the population denied basic human necessities.

You ll think they are just building a road , you have to combat erosion. This should not be a priority for a country that doesn’t have refinery up and running , can’t provide reliable and stable electricity for those on grid . Bad roads and infrastructure . Your wife cannot legally kick you out of the house without a court order. The problem with most Nigerians is that back home. Your wife won’t dare have the audacity to ask you to leave the house. As long as you are married that house is as much yours as hers.
Another issue I have found is that a lot of Nigerians rush to pay off the mortgage . I get the issue with interest but because you have paid off the mortgage and fully owned the house. There are no monthly or bi weekly payments. If you both are still paying the mortgage ain’t no way she will tell you to move out knowing fully well your argument would be - “ well you kicked me out , you assume responsibility for the house. “

Both of them are to be blamed. Even though the lecturer aggravated the student, the student shouldn’t have reacted in such manner. The lecturer instigated it however the student overreacted. No way he’s passing the course, he arrogantly lost on this one.

Onus is on lecturer to behave beyond reproach.
He can’t fail the student without cause . He must have a marking scheme which indicates why a student gets certain marks . Anyways my 2 cents
