If that church can open their doors to the poor in our society , give out food and restore hope - Maybe, but a lot of those churches are not structurally sound and are itself needy. This is a constructive criticism. The church must wake up and be more spiritual. Otherwise skeptics will doubt the authenticity of our claims.

The truth is that most ministers are just interested in numbers. As such, they preach only those messages that brings in the crowd.

In addition, they do not allow the Holy Spirit to work with them. There are gifts of the Holy Spirit that should be manifesting in the church. With these gifts, we should know certain things supernaturally.

Finally, Pastors should pray more for their members. It will help to protect them from the evil schemes of darkness. Losing any member God has given a church is an indication of a crack in the prayer ministry of the church.

It’s unfortunate but the climate we are in comes from the fact that you want to have churches in every nook and corner. I bet there are over 2000 different churches in Nigeria. Which might be the same number alone of RCCG church in Lagos alone .
The emphasis should be on quality and quantity. With quantity- the churches will need to be self reliant . It’s not that the HQ assists financially with the setup anyways yet they need to remit finances to HQ. This allows the pastor to either break out independently cuz they never felt financially supported anyways.

And pardon me - look at the state of nation and look at the number of churches and you know people seeing God as a vending machine or as an ATM.
Now, thank God we are not Haiti but crap we are getting close.
