I'm not a fan of the lady in question,but I believe if you go deeper,you might find out why she doesn't take awards from NIGERIA....I personally if given an award in Nigeria I will decline.. i dont know if your friend has the finance/access to a lawyer...because with the evidence at hand from the chat that he had with the director,he has a strong case to sue the director for defamation of character using the evidence on the newspaper which is a clear propagation of falsehood and very much contrary to the earlier conversation they had on the WhatsApp chat...

The problem is the absolute lack of shame on the part of Nigerian rulers. The age of consent in Nigeria is 18 and not 14. So the guy has committed two major offenses: Rape and sex with a minor. There'd be a lot of mid and smaller offenses that'd be filed against him too. If he knows what is good for him, he had better settle it with the family. It would be hard, but he must understand he messed up and would pay for it dearly in cash and reputation. If the case gets to court, he's gone. He'd pay for it with his freedom. Those female judges at the Lagos Sexual Offenses court are merciless. They'd give him life in prison without thinking twice.
