My brother our problem is sentiment and people just like to politicize everything. This subsidy of a thing ought to have been removed since 2012, but it was very unfortunate that some people played politics with it even when they know the decision to remove it was a step in the right direction. I don't know, corruption might be one of those factors that people thought it was wrong to remove the subsidy in 2012, but it shouldn't have mattered as long as the thing was removed. If the people that criticised subsidy removal then were any wiser, they would have known that removing the subsidy was another way of tackling corruption in the oil sector

I agree with everything you said up there. It is just unfortunate that Nigerians especially our elites will choose to politicize everything and bring sentiments into it.
